Using MS Outlook 2002 In Office Update

May 5, 2008

I just purchased a new laptop that has Vista. I am also using MS Outlook 2002. AOL is my ISP. I use MS Outlook on my desktop that has Windows XP. I don't have any problems on my desktop. When I put in all the specifications for imap.aol.com in Vista, I was able to download the emails but when I tried to open the emails, I got a message that imap.aol.com was offline. I was online. Does anyone know what I need to do to correct the problem? A discussion forum in AOL said that there is/was an update patch available thru MS Update or Office update.

Office 2000 Premium On Outlook

Apr 30, 2009

I uninstalled Office 2007 trial version and loaded on my trusty copy of Office 2000 Premium (I custom installed without loading on Outlook as I know this may cause problems). Everything seems to work OK except Word. It opens, then hangs, then I get a 'Not Responding' message come up. I have looked a few other fixes -: Re naming Normal.dot (this does not seem to appear in any files) and I have changed the default printer (that didn't work either). I can get word to open if I type in winword.exe /a but I know this is only a temporary fix.

OneNote And Outlook Stopped Working Together As An Add-in.

Jun 11, 2008

I have tried everything from disabling the OneNote add-in and then restarting computer and trying to reenable (which it does), but it continually crashes Outlook and makes me disable OneNote again in order to use Outlook.

The only thing I did prior, was last week I made my Outlook Calender available to (subscribing it) to a family member, via Microsoft Live.

I am using Vista, and Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007

I don't have any idea how to make the OneNote button on the quick access toolbar ribbon on top work again. One time it had an error of H_key something, but I did not get it all.

Outlook Calendar 2003 To Import My Outlook File (outlook.pst

May 11, 2008

I'm learning to use Vista (new computer purchased yesterday) and my old PC as XP and Office 2003. I only use the calendar feature of Outlook and was wondering if there's a way to import my outlook file (outlook.pst) to Vista Calendar (seems to only import .ics files) as I don't yet have Outlook 2007 installed on my Vista PC.

Outlook 2007 Can Not Working Error (0x8007000E)

Dec 4, 2008

I have searched the net repeatedly looking for a fix to this issue. I seem to only get solutions for Office 2007/Win XP combinations or Vista/Office 2003 combinations but I need a solution for Office 2007 on a Vista system. Error:

Task 'xxxxxxx@xxx.com - Sending' reported error (0x8007000E) : 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

Task 'xxxxxxx@xxx.com - Receiving' reported error (0x8007000E) : 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

What I have tried already: Delete and recreate Outlook profile Uninstall and re-install Office 2007 (cleaned all registry entries also) Used ScanPST.exe and ScanOST.exe Deleted all email accounts and re-added I thought there might be a firewall issue since Windows Mail works fine but I found out that Windows Mail uses internet settings and not ports like Outlook. This issue is driving me nuts since I used Windows Mail for about a week now and it's childsplay compared to Outlook! I know my machine has the specs needed to run WAY more resource hungry apps: Intel Quad Core Q6600 (2.40GHz) 3GB Ram Maxtor 300GB SATAII 7200RPM I even killed all other apps besides Outlook and I still get the same issue.

Outlook 2007 No Longer Working After Upgrade From Home Premium To Ultimate

Oct 18, 2009

I had a copy of Ultimate laying around the house and decided for some stupid reason to upgrade the OS yesterday. It's been a nightmare. After 10 hours I've reinstalled many, many programs and have been able to get the to launch all of them with the exception of Outlook. I've searched for a solution and have had no luck following a solution to the problem I'm encountering.

I'm getting the following error message:

>>> Cannot open your default e-mail folders. An unexpected error has occured. MAPI was unable to load the information service mspst.dll. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.<<<

I have successfully used Outlook 2007 for the past 6 months on my home PC. The problems I am encountering began immediately following the upgrade to Ultimate (32 bit--I thought I'd have less problems with drivers going 32 bit route than trying 64). I am hoping to salvage my contacts and calendar if at all possible (I have them backed up on an external drive but it's not current about 6 weeks old...I see an Outlook.pst in Windows.old but I cannot open it). I've had to reinstall Office Ultimate 2007 and I have run repair three times. All the Microsoft Windows Ultimate updates are installed. Not sure if this is related but the Office Ultimate Disc 2 will not install properly.

PhotoDraw 2000 V2 On X64

Jul 18, 2008

Has anyone on here successfully installed PhotoDraw 2000 v2 on Vista 64-bit? If so, how did you do it? How can I install this? I (will) have Vista Home Pre 64 (in a few days). (PS: I have no clue about dual boots or compatibility mode...actually I've never even seen Vista in person before.)

This program was/is one of the BEST! PS: Win XP wasn't exactly friendly towards PhotoDraw 2000 v2 (so I've read). And Office 2007 isn't exactly friendly towards it either (so I've read).

I have them in the same workroup (I guess if it is as easy to just name the groups the same?). All I want to do is atleast to share files between the computers. All firewalls are gone (sortof). The TTPL or what ever topology thingy it is, is on. As you can see, I'm not made for creating home networks so please, be gentle. Or even better, if you could do/link me to an good tutorial.

XP 2000: Want To Check 98 FAT32 Partition

For some reason, 2000, Vista and XP want to check the FAT32 partition on which 98 is installed, even though 98 doesn't feel the need to do this. Is it safe to allow this? If not, how do I stop them from trying to do the check (without having to hit a key each time they boot)? I tried doing scandisk under 98 to clear whatever ckeck disk flag has been set but they still want to check.

I would like to get vista to use the login style used in Win 2000 ... ctrl+alt+del gives a login box in which to enter the user name and password.

Win XP Pro had this option also, but, it's default was like vista (pictures showing all users).

I have been able to get the ctrl+alt+del part but instead of the login box I still get pictures.

Very rarely do I find little free apps that actually do anything useful, but this app closes down all 2000, xp and vista processes not needed during gaming. I got an extra 7fps in Far Cry2 small ranch very high benchmark. That's the same increase as overclocking from 3.16 to 3.8 on my Vista 64 x48 e8500 with gtx280. You probably all know about it already, but I only found it recently.

Is Very Different Than Windiws 2000: Unable Get The Time Zone Value To Stick During Setup, Had To Reset After Set Up

May 31, 2008

Purchased a notebook yesterday that has Vista Home Premium pre-installed

1. Was not able get the time zone value to stick during setup, Had to reset after set up.

2. I successfully connected to the internet via dial-up, but I then changed the settings to not automatically dial. Now I cannot find the equivalent of "Network and dial-up connections". I want to create a shortcut on the desktop or a toolbar for each connection. How does one do this?

3. I have 2 desktop.ini icons on the desktop. Likely, because I told Vista to not hide any files.

4. How does find the equivalent of Windows Explorer?

5. Ditto for My Documents and My Computer.
