Office 2000 Premium On Outlook

I uninstalled Office 2007 trial version and loaded on my trusty copy of Office 2000 Premium (I custom installed without loading on Outlook as I know this may cause problems). Everything seems to work OK except Word. It opens, then hangs, then I get a 'Not Responding' message come up. I have looked a few other fixes -: Re naming Normal.dot (this does not seem to appear in any files) and I have changed the default printer (that didn't work either). I can get word to open if I type in winword.exe /a but I know this is only a temporary fix.

I do not have the cd anywhere. I'm just wondering if there is an alternative to installing Mircrosoft Office 2000 SR-1 without the CD. I'm having problems loading ALOT of programs without it.

I run 2 machines Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista Home Premium. I have been using Outlook 2000 for years in the XP machine. I am unable to install Outlook 2000 onto the Vista machine. Is there a way to do it?

I've heard conflicting reports as to whether Office 2000 will run successfully under Vista. In the hope that they are compatible, I installed Office 2000 and then installed (from the Microsoft site) updates SR-1a and SP-2. Then I downloaded SP3, but when I attempted to install it, I got the message "The expected version of the product was not found on your system." Is there some reason for this, or should I just try again? I looked for, but could not find, a newsgroup that deals with Office 2000 -- is there an alternative newsgroup that would be better for these questions?

I have been running Vista with MS Works for some time. I have never bothered to install my ols copy of MS Office XP because I only use the word processor and the one that came installed with Vista was perfectly fine. However, about a month ago I had to install Office XP because I had to send some papers to my university tutor and he could only open documents in the .doc format. However, I now find that when I try to send batches of photos with their size reduced through Windows Photo Gallery they are routed through Outlook Express on MS Office XP and there is no way to send them. There is a message bar telling me the mail has not been sent but there is no send tab. I assume this is because I no longer have Outlook Express. I can send them one at a time if I open windows mail and send them as an attachment but that is a bit tedious. My question is: how do I get the photos to route from Photo Gallery through Windows Mail rather than Outlook.

I just purchased a new laptop that has Vista. I am also using MS Outlook 2002. AOL is my ISP. I use MS Outlook on my desktop that has Windows XP. I don't have any problems on my desktop. When I put in all the specifications for imap.aol.com in Vista, I was able to download the emails but when I tried to open the emails, I got a message that imap.aol.com was offline. I was online. Does anyone know what I need to do to correct the problem? A discussion forum in AOL said that there is/was an update patch available thru MS Update or Office update.

i have a brand new HP Pavilion Slimline s3542.uk Desktop PC that seems to be working fine but I cannot download my emails into office outlook 2007 or get my NOD32 anti virus to update. My internet access is fine either wireless or hard wired directly to the router and my old XP PC works fine on the same connection. I have tried disabling the windows firewall and router firewall and also the anti virus, i have tried installing a different anti virus (avg) but all to no avail. Operating system is vista home premium 64 bit. Windows update is up to date.

At first I had problems with outlook freezing on start up. I tried to repair the installation and that didn't work so I tried to uninstall but going through add/remove programs didn't work so I had to follow the microsoft guide to manually uninstall it. That seemed to work but now I can't get it to install, the installer just hangs and doesn't go anywhere. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of and my next move is reformatting which I don't really want to do.

Any one have any issues with part of the words on the left hand side of the screen missing when microsoft office outlook is open? It's really wierd, sometimes the whole word is there and somtimes like the last one or two letters are mising but nothing that seems regular from day to day. Like on the name "Sent Items" sometimes it just says "Sent Iten"

But not only do I get an access denied even when running explorer as admiistrator, but the full path resolves to nothing. I installed the TECHNET version of Vista Ultimate, and then I had to copy all my old dir's over from windows.old. Then I installed Office again, but now I get the errors.

I've been experiencing some problems with the Windows Vista Home Premium Edition lately. It all started when my Internet Explorer or Microsoft Office Outlook kept on getting stuck, and I would get a note that Internet Explorer / Outlook is restarting. I've been experiencing this problem in particular only with these two.
Next - as of yesterday, I started getting all these weird messages when logging onto familiar websites, such as Google and even Microsoft, about how there's a problem with the websites' security certificate, and that it's expired, so I have to click on "Continue to this website" every single time, and the worst part is that I can't logon to my MSN Messenger! The Error Code is: 80048820, and the Extended Error Code is: 80048412. I've tried working with their Troubleshoot, but nothing works! It's strange, because my Skype is working perfectly fine.
I don't live at home, so MSN is a very important communication tool for me. The third problem is that all of the usual Windows Updates, which are normally downloaded automatically, are not downloaded anymore, and I get a message that the Updates could not be downloaded.

I have Vista Home Premium and a brand new Dell Laptop. I've just bought Office Ultimate 2007. I am having to rebuild my computer. On the old system, I was running Vista Home Premium. Now, I am using Vista Ultimate. As everything came crashing down on my old system, I was unable to make backups of everything. However, there is a bright side...the new system is up and running, and I can access what used to be my old 'C' drive. Here's the situation that I need help with: I was (and will be) using Office Outlook 2007 as my email client. I am trying to figure out how to recover the emails that I had on the old system. As I did not get to make a backup before the crash.

I had a copy of Ultimate laying around the house and decided for some stupid reason to upgrade the OS yesterday. It's been a nightmare. After 10 hours I've reinstalled many, many programs and have been able to get the to launch all of them with the exception of Outlook. I've searched for a solution and have had no luck following a solution to the problem I'm encountering.
I'm getting the following error message:

I have successfully used Outlook 2007 for the past 6 months on my home PC. The problems I am encountering began immediately following the upgrade to Ultimate (32 bit--I thought I'd have less problems with drivers going 32 bit route than trying 64). I am hoping to salvage my contacts and calendar if at all possible (I have them backed up on an external drive but it's not current about 6 weeks old...I see an Outlook.pst in Windows.old but I cannot open it). I've had to reinstall Office Ultimate 2007 and I have run repair three times. All the Microsoft Windows Ultimate updates are installed. Not sure if this is related but the Office Ultimate Disc 2 will not install properly.

I have been able to delete Microsoft Office Outlook from Office 2007 , but NOW when I am on Internet Explorer and want to send a page by email, using the "page" drop down are listed "PAGE", it say CANNOT send PAGE or cannot send LINK until I CREATE A PROFILE under the MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK--- I just got rid of OUTLOOK OFFICE but I NEED this usage of my computer.. I am ready to UNSTALL OFFICE 2007 and send it on a thousand pieces to Bill Gates...THIS is soooooooooooo frustrating. Now I know why the MAC commercials are right on target. I NEED usage of my WIN MAIL AND the usage of "send page or link by email" on my computer...

I'm learning to use Vista (new computer purchased yesterday) and my old PC as XP and Office 2003. I only use the calendar feature of Outlook and was wondering if there's a way to import my outlook file (outlook.pst) to Vista Calendar (seems to only import .ics files) as I don't yet have Outlook 2007 installed on my Vista PC.

Originally, I had Office 2003 installed in my computer, & a trial version of 2007 that had already expired.
Today I installed a full version of Microsoft Office 2007, without removing any of the other two versions from my computer. I realized that it seemed to automatically remove the older version. I`m not bother about it not being there, as I got the new version, but I wonder if this is an automatic uninstalling that Office does, or if the version is still there but I can`t see it, as I would like to remove it properly if it`s still somewhere in my computer.
I checked in Control Panel & the only thing I can see is "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007", the full version I just installed, & everything that come with it. No 2003 anywhere.

Has anyone on here successfully installed PhotoDraw 2000 v2 on Vista 64-bit? If so, how did you do it? How can I install this? I (will) have Vista Home Pre 64 (in a few days). (PS: I have no clue about dual boots or compatibility mode...actually I've never even seen Vista in person before.)
This program was/is one of the BEST! PS: Win XP wasn't exactly friendly towards PhotoDraw 2000 v2 (so I've read). And Office 2007 isn't exactly friendly towards it either (so I've read).

I miss the search engine/program from win 2000 and XP. if I look for say... a PDF or cab or list all .exe, .pps, .xls with the word "setup" BOOM there they are. It's just not the same. I have been using { locate32 & super finder } just wondering if there are any others.

I've connected my Windows home premium and the 2000 to the router and Vista can not find my 2000 from the net. I do get an ping reply from both directions. I have them in the same workroup (I guess if it is as easy to just name the groups the same?). All I want to do is atleast to share files between the computers. All firewalls are gone (sortof). The TTPL or what ever topology thingy it is, is on. As you can see, I'm not made for creating home networks so please, be gentle. Or even better, if you could do/link me to an good tutorial.
