View 4 Replies View RelatedUntil today, this mouse was working nearly perfectly. There was one incident when the mouse stopped working with my computer, and after a restart, it was fine. However, today it stopped working, and I restarted my computer only to find that my computer was now asking for a pairing number when I tried to connect the mouse. I have no clue what this mouse's pairing number is or why I would need it when it was working just fine earlier without one. I checked the bottom of the mouse to see if I could find a pairing number, but nothing was to be found, and I do not have the box or the items that came with the mouse.
How do I connect my mouse? Note: The mouse shows up when I search for bluetooth devices, but the problem arises from the fact that my computer now asks for a pairing number to connect the device, a number I do not have. In addition, it was working just fine earlier today, so I do not believe it is a software issue. If anyone could shed any light on this situation, I would be grateful. I'm at a loss of what to do.
I bought a new laptop acer which came with microsoft word and excel installed but each time i try to open it, it always ask for the product key for it to be ffective now i cant modify on it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that these Notebooks only are available with WindowsXP? I am
looking to buy one with 2GB of memory.so Vista would surely run which in
time I would upgrade to Windows7.
I purchased Microsoft 2007 Small Business.which installs with a DVD.
Notebooks don't come with DVD's. If I copy the DVD to a Flash
Drive.would Small Business install from the flash drive? Or, as I have
been told in the past, Microsoft software cannot be copied.period.no matter what you try to copy it to. It may copy but it will not run the Install file. Is this true? How would I install Small Business onto the Notebook?
I am looking forward to buy a netbook with windows 7 ; I?ve seen lots of configurations for Notebooks and Desktops, going from 2GB to 8 GB RAM. Of course more RAM is ok ; The thing is I want an acceptable computer, and the most I?ve seen announced is 2 GB RAM I know it will probably run Windows 7; but is 2 GB an acceptable number? Supposing a buy a computer with a Core 2 Duo processor and having in mind that I don?t care for games or graphics at all is the above configuration OK?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI know this question has been asked a thousand time, but I can't find the answer with Google - sorry :-) I am running WLM version 12.0.1606 on BOTH my desktop PC and my notebook PC. My notebook and desktop are on a Wi-Fi - so they can Share files. I want my Windows Live Contact list to be the SAME on both the desktop PC and the notebook PC at all times. When I add, delete, or modify a contact on either PC, then I want that same modification to be AUTOMATICALLY (and instantly) reflected in the contact list on the other PC. They are connected via Wi-Fi, so it sounds like a simple task - but I can't find a link that explains how to set it up.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy situation is I have a home network with one desktop running XP Home, attached to a wireless router by CAT5 cable and a local Epson printer. The Epson printer was shared as a network printer. I have another NEC notebook, which accessing the network very fine through the WiFi, and can print properly. I just purchased a new Sony notebook that run Vista Business. I set up the network as follows :
Workgroup : checked and was the same as my desktop
Network : Private
Printer sharing : On
File sharing : On
I can see my desktop in the network map. The notebook can browse the internet by using IE without any problem. However, I cannot add the network printer. I choose "Add new printer", and choose "add new network printer", the result is no network printer found. I also try to add new local printer, and build a new port, and key in my shared printer location "\Zeeman_DesktopeemanEpson", but got the response that the port is not correct.
I can not figure out how to repair/restore the MBR on my Toshiba Satellite notebook PC. Used to be easy with WinXP, I just popped in my legal copy of WinXP and chose the option, or in a command prompt typed fixmbr. But with Vista and a Toshiba laptop that has recovered CDs (two) I am clueless. I have tried the recovery CD, but it looks like it wants to toast the system, wipe everything, to do this. No option to restore MBR.
This all came about when earlier today I installed XUbuntu Linux 8.04. But I want linux off my system, it is gone, but its GRUB bootloader remains. I can boot into Windows VISTA, but I would prefer to just get rid of that linux grub bootloader and restore the Vista MBR bootloader. But how do I fix the Vista MBR using recovery CDs that came with the laptop?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus Lamborghini VX1 notebook that came preloaded with Vista Ultimate 32. I recently upgraded to Vista x64. Most of the drivers are ok, barely. The one main driver I can not seem to resolve is the Display Driver. Device Manager names it a standard graphic adapter, though I know it is a Geforce 7400 by nvidia.
I have downloaded a driver from nvidia manually and trying to install, it tells me I dont have Vista running. I tried automatically detecting on nvidia and it advises to visit Asus website. I visited Asus and could not find any drivers matching a 64bit version.

To work with the files works always smoothly. In the notebook, I have some files declared as offline files and thesynchronization works smoothly. At the offline files is a yellow circle with green arrows. In the Control Panel / Offline Files / Disk use corresponds to thememory used by the offline files correct. When I use the notebook separate from the network, the offline files displayed colored. Up to here everything is still okay! If I try to open an offline file it is not to open or at favorites the Internet link is not available  If you look at the properties it shows the following: size: 323MB size on Disk: 20KB  Why are files missing? What is in the offline files defect?
