I bought FM 2009 and today I finaly received it. But everty time I try to launch FM 2009 with Steam my PC crashes and turns into a blue screen with some text. it says delete the software which you just used. so I tryed to delete FM 2009 but I got the same message. some more info:

View 5 Replies View RelatedAbout 2 months ago i upgraded my WLM suite. To my horror, they changed windows live mail from an application, back to a website email. So quickly system restored back and luckily was able to retrieve the old version which is an actual client installed on my PC as opposed to hotmail.com. Anyway, I've noticed with my old version of messenger, i am plagued with that annoying cant sign in troubleshoot thing and thought i might want to upgrade to the WLM 2009 messenger. THing is, with this new WLM suite range, i cannot upgrade messenger without upgrading my email client. Is there a trick to upgrade messenger without upgrading mail?

There seems to be a big problem with the new windows live mail 2009 (Build 14.0.8050.1202).. ever since installing it on my laptop which has xp and my desktop which has vista the wind0ws live mail 2009 wont start sometimes and i have to log on and off to make it start again..I have done clean uninstalls on both of my machines but i think this is a bug with this new build

View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a bandwidth meter, after getting excess data usage on my cable bill. We only surf, upload pics, forums, occasional DL, etc. Nothing heavy. Yesterday I used 750 mb just surfing!! the only DL I did was a 22mb Adware, to check for spyware. no viruses, well protected here. I uninstalled yahoo, bitching that it must be that. I saw a drop, but not enough to use as much as i was, just surfing. I got to thinking about how years ago, Norton (or McAffee I forget) used to DL mail to their server, scan it and then redownload it to your computer. I thought Norton must have a similar bug. I was 31 days into my 90 day trial, and that has been the only major change on here. I uninstalled Norton and viola usage is down about 90%. I always thought it was strange that Norton never notified me of anything, but obviously it was busy doing something in the background. Just the occasional notification (rarely) that it found a problem and fixed it. Although they were idiotic notifications, like we found a cookie and fixed it.

I had been trying to install Norton AntiVirus 2009 15 days trial. When i click on the installation file, the installation will start. The status of the installation will only remain at "Intializing". Approximately 5 seconds later, the installation will stop, no prompt message appear.
Same scenario appears no matter how many times i tried to install.
I finally decided to upgrade to Vista, and since I have 4GB ram I thought I'd give 64bit a shot. Every game I play crashes, or fails to load at all, or gets into the game and crashes during map load. I have Vista Ultimate 64 installed. I have installed and re-installed the OS multiple times to no effect. I've downloaded all of the windows updates. During one of my first installs of vista, I was able to get in to games of codwaw, but then it would crash after about 5 secs.......

Here is my story: I have installed BitDefender Antivirus 2009 on my Vista Ultimate x64 and experience two big issues. I have reported those issues to the BitDefender's technical support but it's the weekend, so not yet any answer...
First, Firefox 3.0.4 crashes when I exit the browser if I keep the BitDefender Antiphishing add-on enabled. Everything goes fine if I disable it (from the Tools/Add-ons pane of Firefox, not from the AntiPhishing's right-click menu). I didn't see a lot of people complaining about this issue yet. Do you know something about that and maybe how to solve it? Next, the Bitdefender services stop to run when I wake up my PC (I.E.: after a "standby"). And the following message appears in the System event log : "The BitDefender Virus Shield service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).". This one is really a big issue as I often use the Sleep mode instead of a real shutdown... meaning that I will often be without any protection when I wake up my PC... Did someone else experience the same issue? If I get answers from BitDefender (I hope I will... as I paid for the licence), I will post them here.
i am having really slow boot ups lately on my laptop. i have done things such as virus scans, defrag hhd, scan regestry with REGESTRY BOOSTER 2009, defrag regestry. i also have no start up programs in my strat up folder. Problem is that i could start from dead start to a fully loaded desktop in 98 secs....now it takes 124 secs to do the same thing. where it takes the longest is at the boot screen i just watch it load then the windows logo comes up and it smooth sailing from there. i would say it takes about 8-12 secs after the windows logo to get to desktop.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using windows vista ultimate x64, and in random times when i am playing some games like worldd of warcraft, oblivion, PES 2009 etc. the computer freezes and the screen becomes full of squares of the last image i saw before the computer crashed (like: if i was casting a spell in world of warcraft i would see that very screen but with little squares, can't really describe it as it's weird). I tried re-installing video drivers and i made sure they are for x64 vista version. My computer spec is:

I try to play Warcraft III and Fifa 09 and they bouth crash...Fifa verry fast and Warcraft in 10-15 minutes. The problem is identical - my computer freezes and some pixels go bannanas....i have the latest graphic card driver, recently installed latest DirectX and still no sollution... View 9 Replies View Relatedi have no idea how much information ya'll will need, so i'm gonna try to put as much as i can. forgive me if its too much. in short, while playing company of heroes my system randomly locks up, loops the last sound (usually gunfire) and the monitor goes completely white, olive/green, or blue. this usually happens after about an hour of playing. i read up on the problem, and found out that many people were having the same trouble i was. i've tried turning off dx10 and changing all of the visuals to 'high' (no ultra) which apparently has cured many other peoples' coh crashes...but it hasn't cured mine. to make matters worse, my system just crashed for the first time outside of coh today, while i was watching Internet. once again, an audio loop, and a wsod.
people have said that installing dx9 is the way to go, but that seems silly to me...and whats the deal with all these new colors of death? is microsoft trying to be a bit more colorful these days, or do they mean something? now, i wasn't really concerned about the crashes until it happened when i was surfing the web---these crashes had never happened during my marathon sessons of farcry2, or outside of coh...until today.......
About 2 months ago I installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my PC. About 2 weeks ago it starting rebooting sometimes when I open something like an image file or even Internet Explorer. It doesn't happen evey time and only happens about once a day (but only when I go to open something). I want to figure this out so that I don't lose any data or end up with some data corruption. I have run the Windows memory diagnostic tool and it didn't find any issues. The only event in the Event viewer that even related to the issue, was an event logged after it finished rebooting that stated the PC was shutdown improperly.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIts been about 3 months now since i've been using vista and unlike my previous experience with other OS vista 64 is the worst of all........It crashes alot comparing to other OS and also it has a lot of incompatibly issues by that i mean here is a problem i am having nowdays with this Vista thingy OS. I already have .netframe 3.5 installed and still this application as well as some other works smoothly on other OS crashes on Vista. And due to these regurlar basis problem i think i might wanna give up and install either Linux or Ubuntu.
