Display Date In Lower Right Corner?
Mar 23, 2008Running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Time displays in lower right corner, as desired. Is there a way to have the date displayed there too, along side the time?

Date/time Display Gets Way
Jun 16, 2007Occasionally, the time portion of the date/time display gets way out of whack. I think I am up to date on windows updates.

Dec 15, 2009As i already stated, my drive doesn't read any dvd's anymore. I've already tried to:
-Remove Upper/lower filters (Lower filters were missing, could this be the problem?)
-Switching the sata ports from were the device was connected.
-Upgrading the firmware of the dvd player
-Upgrading the Bios
-Asked here
-Some stupid things.
Windows and the bios do see this drive and give it the correct name. I've already tried this with an other drive and she had this problem to.
Intel Logo On The Bottom Right Corner
Jun 27, 2009i have a dell xps 630i thats running windows vista. on friday, around 230 eastern time, my computer crashed. when i went to turn it back on tho, i saw something different with the dell writing, and the intel logo on the bottom right corner. they both were covered with dots eveywhere. After that screen passes by, i got a different new screen that i never got before. it was a phoenix awardbios screen. and below that it said, floppy disk(s) fail (40).
never seen that before. when i try to start my computer up, i can either go to start up repair or start normally. when i do the start up repair( ive done it 9 times already) it says my computer cant fix the problem, and then i can either send or not the error report. and when i start it up normally, it goes to a blank screen. and then my computer goes into power save mode. anyone know whats up with it and how i can fix it.
White Square On Upper Corner Of Desktop.
Jan 6, 2010there's a really old thread about this already. But it didn't solve my problem. When I boot vista, a little white square appears in the upper left corner. It's not my wallpaper. On the old thread they have resolved the problem as being an ATI GPU Driver problem, and the update fixed it. But here's my problem, I don't have an ATI GPU. When I right click the little white sqaure I can open up its properties, and in the properties it has a name of some website. Shortly after I even read it a "close program" window comes up. I click on close and the sqaure dissapears until the next time I boot. Leaving the white square on just messes with whatever programs Im running. For example: If im watching a movie in full-screen, it will randomly just exit out of full screen. It doesnt do that once the white sqaure is off.

Nov 10, 2009One of my Intel Core 2 Quad processor cores has a temperature consistently lower than the other 3 cores, WHY? I have a question. I need to know the reason why one of my cores (Core 2) is running about 3-4 degrees below the temperatures of the other 3 cores on my Intel Core 2 Quad processor. Restarting and rebooting seems not to help, it is always the same core with the lower temperature. Is there something wrong with that particular core or something overly defective with the processor itself??? It rarely ever fluctuates and stays at 33 degrees Celsius. The other core temperatures are around 36-37 degrees at rest/idle and do frequently go up when an action is performed on the computer.
Please let me know what is going on with this consistent core 2 temperature and please provide me with a reason why this is happening. Is it something that is beginning to go with this processor? Is there anything that can be done about it to get all four (4) core temperatures in balance.
Lower Wattage Charger Stopped Working
Jun 17, 2009my laptop uses a 90 watts dell charger. lately it stopped working to im trying to get it replaced. in the mean time a friend burrowed me a spare one but it's 65 watts. when ever i use my laptop on power it moves really slow. is there anyway or any setting that cud be changed to allow my laptop to work normal with the 65 watts charger untill i get my 90 watts charger replaced?

If you know a programs name you generally know were it is so Vista's search engine is useless. Lets make it clear it doesn't even do that. On my H drive I have a file named Zahainya when I asked Vista to search my H drive for a file named Zahainya it comes up empty. Dec 9, 2009I'm having a problem with Vista 64, I've verified the date and time in the bios (new motherboard) what happens is the date and time change to Dec 2016 after the PC restarts and the desktop is ready for action. I've scanned for viruses and malware and none were found, this is a new install from scratch.
Also I have a "Interactive Services Detection" error that forced me to disable the service, does anybody know how to fix it instead of disabling the service? I could just do another re-install but I'd like to avoid that right now.
