When I print a received email (Vista Windows Mail), the print is so large, it prints 3 pages for something that should be on 1 page. I have tried changing settings through HP printer, Internet Explorer and Windows Mail.

My default font was changed about 2 weeks ago (long story as to how and why) to something that looks like GEORGIA or LUCIDA or something similar, and was forgotten to be changed back. So every webpage I open, every menu option, is all in this new font which I dislike.

I have tried suggestions from IE going to options and then "general", but there is no place to change the size of the font.... One of the reasons I don't use the new e-mail set up is because the print is too small and everything is bunched together. They weren't thinking of senior citizens when they designed that!

I'm a senior at 62, and my eyesight isn't the best anymore. I tried 1024x600 for larger font size but didn't like how graphics and Icons looked, so I went back to the default of 1288x600. My problem is the the font size including emails is just too small, so I'm forced to continually use Control + to increase it. Is there a way to change the font size so I don't have to do this. I'm running Firefox 3.07 and the latest version of Thunderbird. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934

Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Internet Explorer > Settings > I modified Always Use My Font Size from (1) to (0). Initially, I was doing my searching using the entire computer and it literally took hours. Since I knew that searching KEY_CURRENT_USERS was a waste of time (you had already suggested deleting Windows Mail), I only searched for key words using LOCAL MACHINE. This allowed me to shorten search times to a reasonalbe amount.

There is a site called BabyCenter.com. When i comment in the forums, it wont let me change my font size, color or anything. I could do all of that on XP. And when i go to game websites like playtopia.com, the game will load, but it wont show up. Is this Vista doing this, and if so how can i fix it??

It's as if I pressed "alt+tab" at the same time as selecting "print." I don't know how to stop this switching and stay inside Windows Mail. This only happens when I print from Windows Mail. I am trying to find the font folder, so that I can copy a font onto a disk to put onto my laptop. In other versions of Windows its C:windowsfonts, which it appears to be in Vista, but once in C:Windows I cannot find the fonts folder. If I go through the control panel to the fonts folder it will not let me copy the front from there. It will let me right click the font to copy, but not let me paste onto a memory stick. I have already got into Folder options and made sure that Hidden files are visible.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have two versions of Eudora on my PC but only one (Eudora 8 beta) is recognized in file folders that contain *.jpg files (as of today).
Before today, I would highlight a JPG and click on Email at the top of the open folder. Eudora 7.1 would come up and all I had to do was put in an email address. I should say that I use Eudora 7.1 with two sets of data - one for me and one for my wife.
However, my wife's version would come up which is what I want. As of today, Eudora 8 beta comes up when I click on Email. I have no idea how the association changed.
I also don't know why my wife's version of Eudora 7.1 used to come up instead of mine.
There must be a way to reset the association. I tried resetting the association in Internet Explorer - but only Eudora 8 beta is available as a choice. That's another problem. Why isn't Eudora 7.1 a choice in file associations in Internet Explorer 8?
I have been using my Windows Mail account now for over a year. I have not changed any settings. I have Norton antivirus and I have not changed any of it's settings.

I was wondering why the smallest font size on this thing is only 8? Is there anyway to add any font sizes smaller than 8. I need at least a 6. It is this way for every font. Since then all my html messages use size 12 in Windows Mail, Live Mail, or
Yahoo Mail.
I can specify the use of a different size, but as soon as I type anything,
the size reverts to 12.
I can change any other attribute such as face, bold, etc. and they all
work.
I would like to reinstall Windows Mail but I understand that's not possible
as it's inseparable from Vista.
I've run sfc /scannow and there are no problems.
The only solution that seems possible it to fix or replace that registry
line I screwed up.
Incoming email is difficult to read because of age and font size. Have checked out ideas on Goggle and Windows "Help and Support". Either I'm too thick or the suggestions are no longer applicable. I'm using Vista, IE 8 and Windows mail.
