May 22, 2005i was trying to remove yahoo messanger exploere bar by going to add/remove i clicked on it but nothing is happening i just can not delete yahoo messanger exploere bar.

Add - Remove - Found Yahoo Install Manager
Apr 15, 2005am trying to get some extra MB for my son's computer for his hugh game he has installed. I looked in add/remove and found 3 things that are taking a lot of MB and wonder if they are needed or would hurt anything if I deleted them. Please give me your opinion on Python 2.2 and Python 2.2.1 I don't have a clue what they are for but they are taking up a whopping 22.71 MB a piece! I found yahoo install manager and compuserve also taking up a lot of MB and I don't have a clue what they are needed for either.

Sep 1, 2005Every time I install a new font in windows my internet explorer browser (version 6.0) displays everything in italics. So I restore my system back to the point before I installed the fonts - and everything is fine. Even if I install just ONE font and it is NOT an italic font, my browser display turns into italics again. This is driving me crazy and I don't know what the problem is.

Apr 25, 2008when my windows xp boots up...everything starts up except that the yahoo and msn messengers as well as the broadband connection dialin link doesnt works till like a minute or so after windows has got booted...it seems like the windows waits for something to load for about a minute and then after a minute the hard drive shows some activity and yahoo,msn and the broadband link comes up and i can only dial the link then...this 1 minute wait for the connection to be connected is really annoying me...from the task manager i c that 2 services imapi.exe,alg.exe and wmiserve.exe starts up after the freezing time of the windows and then net connection gets connected...if u want any more details i will let you know.

May 14, 2010I have an AT&T mail account and they recently paired with Yahoo on their homepage. My Outlook Express in Windows XP worked with my account fine for years until yesterday. I had to change the names of the servers to: pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com. The port settings are the same 465 and 995. Also, my password is the same. The problem is when I try to receive or send mail, Outlook Express repeatedly asks me to enter my username and password for the servers. The password box is checked on the logon box that comes up repeatedly but not highlighted. What am I overlooking?

a) my yahoo messenger is not working properly, (i cannot see the text messages send and received, the other person can)..the chat window is empty...even though i can make and receive pc-pc calls.
b) my windows media player doesnt open. no error is shown but it simply doesnt open... when ever i try to watch something online, which uses media player buffering, it shows "cannot create direct show player"...
another error that pops up is "fail to load control from wmp.dll"
c) Limewire used to work fine and suddenly it stopped working.
d) my internet explorer doesnt display the "download" buttons on websites. shows some javascript void error something in the status bar below.
I tried formatting my system and re-installed everything, it was working fine for few days and then again it went back to the previous state. I have installed Norton 360, and Avast nothing detects any virus...i've installed the latest ver of java..I am using a lenovo laptop with WinXP SP2 (2002 Ver), Intel Centrino duo 1.7 ghz, 1gb ram. Please help me guys, my comp is really really annoying!

Jan 24, 2005I was having a Red X problem with Yahoo. They did something at their end and fixed the problem. But now when I forward a message, with an embedded picture or a message with an attachment, to Outlook Express, I receive the Email as an attachment, but when I click to open the attachment, a screen opens to open or save, it says its a Type: Internet E-mail message with an .eml extension. When you click open, you get a screen display as if you were going to send a message, like from the very beginning, with the to subject, text area, etc. You don't see your message at all. If I send a regular text Email from Yahoo to Outlook Express it arrives as an attachment, but you are able to open it and view it ok. Yahoo says I have a problem with Outlook Express. Any ideas how to fix. Outlook Express is my email client.

Don't delete the files after you save them or it'll stop working. Don't worry about the .exe extension, it just points Yahoo to that tiny noads.jpg and replaces the ads with it.
