System DLL User32.dll Is Relocated?
Jan 3, 2009
Every time i try to run this application (red alert 3) i receive this error message...
ra3_1.0.game-Illegal System Dll Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. the relocation occured because the DLL C:WINDOWSsystem32SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL
I have read through this post, and various others on different sites, and i have had no luck fixing the problem.

When i start up my computer and log into windows 2000 pro. before the desktop even has a chance to load up this error message pops up ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND>>"procedure entry point ?__U@YAPAXI@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" also at various times an error message for "Javaur32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows, you will need to restart the program" will pop up. the worst part about this whole problem is that when i try to open any of the folders on my desktop an error message "explorer.exe has generated errors and will be cloased by windows, you will need to restart the program" will pop up and my desktop will go blank for a few seconds then come back, basically the only program i can run is Aol on my laptop right now.

An employee of mine noted that Symantec Anti-Virus quarintined some type of virus. After this he ran Spybot Search & Destroy which also found and quarintined something. Unfortunately, these are the only details he could provide. After running Spybot he restarted his computer and received the blue screen of death. STOP:c0000135 {unable to locate component} Application failed to start b/c user32.dll not found.

I have Windows xp sp2 with an AMD based computer. The model is a Compaq presario SR1200NX. I visited this website http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jesp...ng-xp-sp3.aspx and ran the tool to confirm that i had one, and i do. Now i want to run the tool and disable whatever it wants me to disable and install SP3, but ive had a past problem where i replaced the system file user32.dll and it led to a repeating reboot. i fixed it with some tool on the computer when you boot called the recovery console and i got the file back. When i got the computer to boot it looked like this http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3894/pictuer.png (notice everything is themed except for the taskbar i have no idea why the hell thats happening) i made a few changes so i could use custom themes, and theres also a few user32.dll files scattered in the Windows folder but with different names ( i did that when using the recovery console).

I have been trying to fix an issue with a friends computer. Problem is I'm not very computer savvy :S So that's where you all come in :P I do have some knowledge of computer's and usually catch on pretty quickly. Basically I have been noticing my friends comp has become increasingly slow over the last week I have scanned with AVG and found a change in the following:
Shell32.dll, kernel32.dll, hosts, user32.dll, ntoskrnl.dll
I have tried searching for the shell32.dll and found it only to be in the C:/windows/system32 folder as someone recommended in another post I had read on here..Those are the only items showing in a complete scan of the system so I have no idea what is causing this..Also she has been noticing an increased amount of pop ups even when explorer is not running? I believe they are CID or CDI pop ups.

The system can be restored by using the Startup CD and pressing R for recover, but I do not have any cd. The only one I have it the recover cd, but it is my understanding that if I use the recovery cd that I will erase everything from my computer and I can not do this.I tried to read the other threads about the same problem, but to be honest I do not understand them and I just do not have the startup cd - maybe it is the same as the recovery cd?

I have a 2 hard disc system, Windows XP pro and most programmes run from the C Drive. A few, plus all my data run from the F drive. Over the last few days I have encountered a massive slowdown in getting the computer started - form certainly less than 5 minutes to over 20 minutes. I have not added anything to the autoruns at all.
Programmes and data (eg music) run fine if they are on the F drive, but if they are on the C drive they run incredibly slowly so music is fragmented and at times its like trying to wade through treacle to get anything done. I have been getting crashes of the PC with a message about a kernel problem... but haven't yet copied all the data from that to get the detail. When it crashes the next boot reports a disc boot system failure, when i reboot ahgain it loads up but painfully slowly. The C drive was defraggged just afew weeks ago. I'm thinking the drive is about to pack up....

I shut off the computer and turning it back on couldn't boot up windows. It gave the windows wasn't shut down properly and I tried the normal restart option and it would just give a black screen with a blinking _ and then nothing happens. Tried loading in safe mode but it gets to mup.sys then "Press Esc to cancel SPTD.sys" flashes below and whether I press Esc or let it be, nothing happens after that.
I tried popping in the windows xp disc that came with the laptop, boot from disc, it starts up but then after loading everything, it then says "Windows is starting up" the disc stops spinning then nothing happens. I tried popping in a windows vista disc and it says "Windows is loading files" with a progress bar, when it fills up, I get stuck with a blank black screen the disc stops spinning and then nothing happens.

I am trying to use the system restore function on windows XP, but every time i select a restore point and the system reboots, it says that the restoration was incomplete and "no changes have been made." I have tried multiple restore points. Microsoft.com suggested that i verify that the task manager, WMI, and system restore services were running, and they are. I also tried disabling my antivirus program, but the same thing happens.

I'm running a Dell XPS 600 with Windows XP Professional Media Center Edition. Well, OK, it's not really running.I used System Restore to return my PC to a point about six weeks ago when the system was more stable. The PC rebooted, and now it won't boot any more due to a missing/corrupt CONFIGSYSTEM file.It won't boot from either of my CD drives, either. I've used the boot Setup to alter the boot sequence but that doesn't help, the system just doesnt recognize those drives during boot. For this same reason, I've been unable to access the Recovery Console.

I have a Windows XP Pro box (named Shadow) with shares set for the root of each drive. I also have one external USB drive J:. I have used the Disk Manager, Add drive letters, to mount this drive as G:Shadow-J. I have set share for G:Shadow-J as Shadow-J. (I use this mount point approach to avoid the problem with the NET SHARE disappearing from J: when I turn off the drive.)From another machine, either one running XP Pro or a laptop running XP Home, I do NET USE for five different shares on Shadow. NET USE works fine for the shares for Shadow hard drives (C:, E:, F:, G but fails with error 1130 "Not enough server storage is available to proceess

I am trying to do a system restore and my system runs it all but when all is done I get a message saying that no changes have been made to my system and that the system restore was unsuccessful. The reason I am trying to restore my system is because Photoshop is suddenly unable to save as a jpeg? It doesn't recognise the jpeg format when saving and saves as a Photoshop document. THen it wont recognise the file to open it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no avail. Funnily enough photoshop elements has no problem with it.

By default, Windows XP keeps a backup of system files in the System Volume Information folder. This can eat up valuable space on your hard drive. If you don't want Windows to back up your system files:1. Open the Control Panel2. Double-click on system3. Click the System Restore tab4. Check "Turn off System Restore on all drives"5. Hit Apply6. You may now delete the System Volume Information folder.Warning! If you turn this off you will not be able to use Windows System Restore to restore your system in case of failure.

It did not come with Windows installed, but came with the Windows SP1 disc and drivers and such. I installed all those, and was off to a great start. But a few hours later, I discovered I couldn't open System Restore, System Information, or Windows Media Player. Since these are all applications that come with Windows, I figured I must have messed up the installation. Being on moderately knowledgeable about computers, many times, my solution is to simply reinstall a program. So, I figured, I have this installation disc still sitting here from just a few hours ago, why not just give it another go?

The my computer window instantly opens with all the correct icons displayed on the lest (view system information add remove programs change a setting...) but it shows no drives and I cannot click on anything. If I hit control alt delete it is reported as not responding but after about 45 seconds the rest of the icons show up. I open control pannel and try to open the system folder and nothing happens. I tried running nortons system works windoctor but after the cd launches it freezes. After about 3 hours of working on it I gave up and reinstalled windows ( i did the windows repair so I didn't lose program files and such, i did not re-initialize). After re-installing everything was going fine until last night. The same exact thing is occuring again. Ive attempted running Ad-aware and its locking up after it finds a few files, I have no clue what its finding since its locking up. Ive tried booting in safe mode but it locks up at mup.sys. Their is also no internet connection IE or Firefox can find but when I open the network connections folder it says that I am connected. Im wondering if its a bad HDD or if I've got some delayed action virus or something. Neither seems to likely to me since if it was the HDD when i ran a HDD scan (in dos from the win repair cd) it comes across as fine and the virus would have to be a delayed action one or something since it keeps hitting almost exactly a week after the problems occur.
