have a problem sending emails through outlook express,it has a backlog of emails ,probably because i tried to send my sister a big file of photos, cant recieve or send emails

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago my husband was having trouble sending emails. I would sometimes, but it would eventually work for me, but still not for him. He told me he had heard about the email antivirus scanners and somehow they block outgoing mail. So I reinstalled our Grisoft AVG antivirus without the email scanner. Now we can not send any attachments at all. Pictures, documents, nothing. I since reinstalled the email scanner since when trying to send I would get the message that a virus was attached. It still happens. It kicks it back along with about 50 messages telling why. Looks something like this..........

This has occurred after receiving e-mails from multiple addresses. I sent an e-mail with a photo attached to myself to see what would happen. The received attachment contained not only the picture that I sent, but three additional photos that I had never seen before. I have run two different anti-virus and two different spyware programs and everything come back clean.

I then moved them back and it did not bring them back. The files are in my documents, I have tried to import them back into Outlook Express and it does not work, it only goes back to 2 months ago. I'm trying to set up a new computer for a charity, just one problem they did not back up their email addresses and emails on outlook express from their last machine (which failed) so what do we do to restore everything? just wondered if anyone knew WHERE on the hard drive does outlook express store its emails and email addresses?
He goes into his INBOX and reads his emails. He does not delete the emails he has read and then he signs off. When he goes back into OE the read emails are now in his DELETED folder. I have checked the settings and cannot seem to find anything that he may have selected in error and cannot stop this from happening?

Since my upgrade, whenever I send an email to multiple recipients, each recipient gets multiple emails to the numer I sent out. e.g. If I send an email to 10 people in the "to" box, each person gets 10 identical emails.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Windows 98 basically crashed and i have now loaded XP onto one drive and my info from 98 is on another drive ( c/d ) I have gotten access to all my files,documents ect....however I have not been able to get into my outlook express old file which contains 1000,s of emails that I desparatley need.
When I go to check my e-mail things seem to be working ok ,e-mails down loading and then I get an error message with this error number 0x8007000e.

Then I began having error messages that "OE has encountered unknown problems & has to shut down" or it would just freeze up for no reason. Emails were coming in in duplicats. (2 of every email in the inbox) (*This problem is still happening)
They had me delete my account & start over several times. Then they forwarded me all my emails they had on their system. OVER 1,000 BEGAN COMING IN! NONE TO THE INBOX! (hidden file) We put a stop to it and began searching where these were being hidden. Since getting the new computer I have not been able to get Spell Check in my OE 6.0 I am told 6.0 does not have this. I had it before changing computers and I used 6.0 then also.
I moved an inbox file (inbox (2).dbx) from one computer to another. I want Outlook Express on the second computer to open that folder when I click on the the "Inbox" folder in the list of folders, but instead, it creates a new (and empty) inbox.dbx folder rather that opening the inbox (2).dbx file. On the originating computer, the Inbox folder in the list of folders has a path to the inbox (2).dbx file, while on the newer computer, the path is to a non-existent inbox.dbx file (which Outlook Express creates anew each time I open it on the second computer). I would like to be able to change the path of the Inbox folder in Outlook Express on the second computer so that it opens the inbox (2).dbx file and does not create another inbox.dbx instead.
I want this so that I can synchronize my email account between the two computers (without having to change the name of the inbox (2).dbx to inbox.dbx every time. I can find no way to alter the path of the Inbox
folder so that it opens the inbox (2).dbx file on the second computer. And if I click on the inbox (2).dbx file and tell Windows to open it in Outlook Express, it opens Outlook Express, but still there is no folder containing the contents of the inbox (2).dbx file visible in Outlook Express! How do I change the pathway so that the Inbox folder in Outlook Express opens the inbox (2).dbx file?
I store *.EML files in various folders around my computer, and I use Outlook Exress File/Save As feature, to do this. Each time I open these files from within these folders, Windows Live Mail takes control. I have been trying to change the File Association, but I cannot find Outlook Express, listed anywhere.

picture size for ease of sending. After clicking OK I do not get any screen allowing me to address the E-mail with the attachment.
I recently have begun having problems with my Outlook PST file. This has never occurred before over the many years I have been using the same Outlook file and I believe the problems started happening right around the same time that I put in iTunes onto my PC and started to allow iTunes to sync my Outlook contacts with my iPhone.
My Outlook file still more or less functions normally, but each time I open Outlook I get an error message telling me that the Outlook file was not closed properly the last time it was used and it much be checked for errors. It then does the check, which often it takes 20 minutes while running the check in the background, and each time it finds no errors.
