I have scaned a document, and saved it like xx.jpg, but i have deleted it from recycle bin too..so can anybody tell me how can i recover this document cause i need it very much..P.S i tryed it to recover with recover my files program, but i cannot racover these files.

I got to the point on the install where it highlighted the good partition and I hit "L" to erase it. At that point I stopped and tried a repair from the XP Home disk but no luck. Since it didn't overwrite it (probably just erased some pointers) is there any way to get back the good partition/OS that was on this disk?

I forgot to swicht off my external hard drive and when windows loaded all the files and asked me where did i wanted to install xp and all that, both drives appeared, my internal hd and the external with all my data. i was doing something else at the same time and i wasn't paying all the attention i should have so i deleted the partition of my firewire Hd and just after i did it i realized my mistake. The file system for that drive is fat32 and there was only one partition. I did not formatted the ext. drive, i only deleted the partition.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI booted off the windows xp CD to partition an extra hard drive, but I accidentally deleted the main partition of my boot drive. i had to quickformat it to install windows on another drive. i am not writing any files to the drive at the moment and there must be a way to retreive the partition. i heard as long as you don't overwrite the data, you can somehow recover it.

I am planning to run scandisk, and defrag. Also I will take a look at her startup list and compare it with sysinfo.org/startuplist and remove what I feel comfortable doing. If not installed I will install Spybot Search and Destroy and CCleaner (but uncheck the registry cleaner). They both no very little about keeping the computer cleaned out.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI installed 'Virtual CD 5.0.6' on my desktop I installed 10 virtual drives (labelled drive G to P inclusive) I have an external hard drive (labelled 'Local Disk: L) which was turned off when i installed Virtual CD.When i turned on the external HD it did not show in My Computer (presumably because i had allocated drive L as a virtual drive I have uninstalled Virtual CD (and all 10 virtual drives) but still do not get my External HD icon showing in 'My Computer'When i go into device manager the Maxtor External HD is showing. And when i go to the 'Unplug Eject Hardware' icon on my tool bar the HD shows as a USB Mass Storage Device (but without a letter)

I did not install windows, or format it, but when I rebooted windows, I cannot access it. It simply says. this disk is not formatted, would you like to format it now. But I feel the delete partition is a very rapid process just taking seconds and in that I don't think files would be deleted, so I feel potentially I can recover the deleted partitions including the boot partition. But I don't know how to do it. Also now when the boot partition is deleted and the system is not booting up what should be done to recover the system and data?

The message box also had a timer counting down from 25. I clicked "OK" on the message box and proceeded to my desktop. However, once my profile was loaded, all items i My Documents were no longer there. In addition, it seemed as if several Properties were set back to their default states (i.e. my background picture was changed, my theme was changed etc.) Also, the only folder that now exists in the place of My Documents is "C:Documents and Settings TEMPMy Documents".

When I double click on the ICON I get an error message. To wit:"The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open. Click OK, and then close open dialog boxes to continue." I do have Norton Antivirus 2005 and a Pop Up Blocker activated. If this is the problem must I deleted them both before I can read my document or, being a beginner, am I simply missing something obvious.
