If anyone can give me some help on this I would be very grateful.I first noticed that there was a "Google Update" asking me if I wanted to update. So I proceeded with the download. The last thing to download was the Adobe Reader 8 but unfortunately it could not download successfully this Adobe Reader 8. It mentioned something about not being able to locate the Adobe Reader 7.0.7 - Italiano.msi. Note,I am actually residing in Italy hence the "Italiano.msi" but my first language is English. So then I tried to locate this Adobe Reader 7.0.7 by going to Programmes and then to the "Adobe" file, where I discovered "Acrobat 7", then double clicked on "Active X", then double clicked on "Acro PDF.ITA , whereupon it told me it was impossible to open this file but that it can search the web to locate this programme. It took me to Windows File Association where it said it did not recognise the file. It told me to go to Windows Live Search. Information. Click here to Run a Free Scan for ITA Errors".It was here that I downloaded this "Uniblue Registry Booster". The Uniblue Registry Booster has detected 89 6errors in my files! It is asking me to repair it by clicking the button. Now I am really scared because I don't know if I have just introduced myself to a "gimmick" and to a virus!
I have a valid installation of Windows XP Home in English with CD. I received "Uniblue Registry Booster 2010" in Spanish on a CD. if I install "Uniblue Registry Booster in Spanish on a Window XP platform that is in English, will the registry repair software be able to read the registry keys to repair/clean. Or must you have a Windows platform in Spanish for a registry repair/cleaner in Spanish.
Just installed RegistryBooster and scanned OK. When computer restarted a RegistryBooster dialogue box appears offering to scan and I want to get rid of it, but can't as there is no apparent way to do so. So can anyone please tell me how to remove it?
My dell dimension 2350 , windows xp home just keeps running slower and slower . i have defragged , deleted internet files , history ,etc. , but no help . i have not loaded any games or programs , i just handle emails and do some surfing . will running the banner reccomended registry booster II make my beast faster , and do so safely?
I recently installed Asmw PC optimizer and Accel speedtec.I find that both cannot really speed up my pc in real time. Can anyone kindly recommend a marvellous internet speed booster for super fast surfing.Operating system:Windows XP connection type:Cable modem(2000kbps)
I recently purchased a new MOBO for my first build a few weeks ago (ASUS msn32 SLI Deluxe), and it has a few nice little utilities that make the experience of building a PC a fun one - that is, until you try to use them! lol~AI Gear is a utility that (with the interface of a gear shift) allows you to up the power of your processor, or to go into a power saving mode, if you will. AI Booster is a very cool little OC'ing utility that makes it easier for newbie people like myself to OC within a controlled environment without the fear of screwing something up in the BIOS.Now AI Gear and AI Booster can't run at the same time. So if AI Booster is set up to launch on start up, there's a pop up that will prompt you to disable AI Gear so the booster can be used.
I would really like to know if there is any effective internet accelerator or booster to make my PC run faster and increase the speed of web browsing/loading pages. However,I can find many such programs on the internet but problem is which one really work wonders.I am currently using cable modemwhich allows me to surf with download speed of up to 1.5Mbps.Besides upgrading to a higher tier bandwidth broadband internet access,I would be glad if you can suggest some other methods to increase speed. For your info,I am running on windows XP Pro Serv.Pk2
I downloaded the free trial version of the System Booster that is supposed to be part of the new version of XP (I think?).Does anybody know about this? Is it legitimate? It seemed to be. I have noticed a small increase in overall speed of loading programs and apps, but it could be my wishful imagination.
I want to backup my Autocomplete User Names and Passwords, Web Addresses, and Forms entries in the registry. What are the registry addresses for these items?
I tried to delete the registry entries which were bad, I had 30 of them, but the these two will just not go away, even by doing them manually, such as saving as a backup then deleting it manually and remerging. They just show up no matter what I do, or so use programs like Registry Mechanic, which I found only mediocre, very far from the ratings. to delete these two entries somehow from someone who is actully knows how to without using several so called registry cleaners, which only work partially.
I have entries in my Windows XP Professional Registry that are no longer needed. When I try to delete these entries the registry editor will not allow me to delete the entries. Is there a way that I can delete/remove these registry entries?
Everytime I try to export HKLM and HKU as Registry Hive Files using regedit, I get the following error message: Registry Editor Cannot export D:HivesLocal Machine: Error writing the file. There may be a disk or file system error. I am trying to export the above mentioned hive to my second hdd. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong
I foolishly deleted something in my registry. Now I cannot access the internet from a program that wants to communicate with it to register the product or collect information via the internet, such as Print Master.
On my box at home, I have Norton System Works, which contains a registry diagnostic/sweeper.At work, where I run Windows 2000 Pro, I was wondering...I know there are various registry diagnostic & cleaner utilities out there on the web, but I thought I had heard that Windows itself either includes one on the OS disc or makes one available for download. Is there such a thing as an official Windows Registry utility?
How can you see what is in the registry? I have Windows Home Edition XP. I know there are registry's on the computer left from other programs when they are deleted. Such as Norton especially. I heard that an overloaded registry can slow up your computer. Also, does anyone know of a good freeware registry cleaner? Am I asking for trouble looking into the registry.
I want to change my registry so that ALL downloads from the Internet go to a folder of MY choice, not M/S choice. These files include photos, text, PPS, pdf, wmv files, and others. Is there some way to change my registry to make this happen? I am tired of switching to that folder every time I try to download something. I am using XP and AOL. I have set AOL to do this, but Windows refuses to do it automatically.
Okay, a few months ago i installed an app called REGISTRY MECHANIC. it was supposed to make my computer work better. after compacting the registry, i restarted to find out the laptop didn't start any more.a few months went by and finally i got a copy of WINDOWS XP HOME. i went into the REPAIR CONSOLE and replaced the boot sectors and the mbr boot sectors... still nothing... so,i went ahead and installed WINDOWS XP HOME... now, when it starts up it asks me to choose between 2 versions of WINDOWS, the older one or the new one...so, now MY DOCUMENTS a nowhere to be found...what i'm thinking i need to do is reformat the drive and use the installer cd that came with the laptop to get it up and running again (drivers, etc.)...but, there's one problem:
I have several registry cleaning tools on my PC like registry mechanic,WinASO registry Optimizer and those included in my programs ASMW PC-Optimizer,Tune-up utilities and WinTools.net Professional. One thing I am puzzled is that all the registry cleaning tools have found certain problems when I run one after another.Once i completed my registry scan using all above tools and fix all problems,I can't understand why a number of registry problems still exist the next day.I did not carry out any important task other than just spend the most 1 hr of web surfing. Recommend a more powerful registry cleaning tool to curb such problem.
What are recommended programs for cleaning your registry? I tried to use Registry Mechanic, but for some reason it gave me the error message that it could not locate the file map.dat,I verified that the file was there in the correct location. Are there any other programs I could try?
I want to clean my registry,i never clean my registry before. how safe is it? i instill alot of programs and uninstill alot too. now i got 2 nero in my add/remove . and theres alot programs i want to try again but cant because they are still in my registry. any tips before i try it? i downloaded "EasyCleaner"
I have Windows xp Home. How many times should I clean out the registry? I have done a lot of cleaning of files and registry entries in the past but do not know what would be a acceptible limit for a guy who uses his pc everday most of the day. I like it fast I have 2 gigs of ram and use an dsl connect and a Intel App acclelerator. Sometomes wierd things happen like my floppy disk will run for a split second after I am on the pc for about 30 min. then stop and my pc will not always boot up and say that an improper frequency has happened. After I re-boot all is well. This does not happen all the time.
I have a hard drive out of a laptop that i am backing up all there files so i can reformat there laptop drive, how do I copy there regestery so that all there links to the programs would work.
