on my laptop, I use Windows7, IE8, set up yahoo mail as my home page,when I log in to my yahoo mail and click on the internet icon to open new browser it comes with yahoo ID and ask me to insert my password, how to fix this?I use the same on my desktop PC windows XP, and when I click to open new browser it comes a blank yahoo mail page with no any specific ID etc.. I use this for long years ago.. just when I installed the windows7 with the IE8 started facing this prolem, and cannot check 2 yahoo mails at the same time, must one be signed out
It's not a great problem but every time I go to Yahoo mail I have to maximise the page as it only appears as half a page. I'm sure there is a way of keeping it as a full page but I cannot recall it.
I am looking for a way to download and save all of the emails on my yahoo mail account. I heard about a way to use outlook to do it, but I prefer a 3rd party program to do it since I dont have an outlook account. I google searched but did not find any programs.
On one of my computers, the "Remember my ID on this computer" checkbox on Yahoo! Mail is replaced by "Keep me signed in for 24 hours unless I sign out".Next to that, there's a "feedback" link and a question icon.What is this? Why is this different from what appears on my other computers?
When forwarding mail I've tried everything and can't get rid of all of the addys that come with e-mails that are sent to me in yahoo mail. I've looked everywhere in yahoo and can't find an option that tells me how to do that. I've tried "edit with microsoft front page" and I keep getting "there was a problem" this is a nightmare.
When you send a link through your browser, it defaults to Outlook. Is there a way to change the default to say Yahoo Mail. If not, how do I fix Outlook to make my Optimum Online connection the way Outlook connects, not my old dialup?
I have a computer reboot problem everytime i open my yahoo mail. I've run all the virus scans, mailware and spyware, clean my registry and are still having this problem. i'm running windows 2000 professional, have done all the updates, patches, etc that i know of and am still having this problem.
The spyware with web address security2k.net comes into the browser each time I try to visit tech support site for my ISP. I can't access yahoomail on IE also. Each time I click on the mail link on yahoo security2k.com comes up and takes over the brower It has forced me to use Mozilla but I can't access my ISP through mozilla. What can I do to to remove this devil from my computer.
When I click on Yahoo Mail it just goes to a blank page and acts like it is going back and forth through 2 pages. It never gets me to a sign in screen. I go to another computer and try it and it works fine. You can hear clicking like it is going through pages back and forth.
This ones has me baffled. I keep getting an active X promt stating that the page won't display properly. This Only happens on the Yahoo News page and NO where else. been going on for about a week now. My security settings are where they need to be.
I recently purchased the Microsoft Fingerprint reader to run on my Windows XP MCE system It works fine for the most part, but I can seem to change any settings for a previously configured logon page When I reach a logon page which I have set up to use the fingerprint reader, an icon appears in the title bar next to the minimze/restore buttons. The flyover help says I can click on the icon to edit the signon information for this page. However, when I click this icon, all I get is a dialog with the hightlighted fingers just telling me to use one to signon.Am I missing something? How do you edit signon information for a previously configured page? I installed the software and reader on my laptop (XP Pro)

I couldn't type the Euro (€) sign (Alt+Ctr+5 or AltGr+E) under Office 97 after upgrading from Win 98 to Win XP Pro.I went to the Word icon, right click on the icon, Properties, Compatibility, and choose compatibility mode for Windows 98.That's all!This tip works for any "older" program you are having problems under XP. For Philips FreeSpeech 2000 I choose compatibility mode for Windows NT.
Trying to help a friend of mine. He had added a shortcut to his desktop, says was active shortcut, ever since then has not been able to change desktop, its white (none) . I went to the sreen to change it and selected the one he wanted . I then closed the system and rebooted, when it first comes up,the background is correct, but when loads icons it reverts to a white background.
C: Drive and it just filled up fragmented files to 95%. I've moved the pagefile to its own drive and added 4gigs more to almost 20 gigs on C. Here's what I did that may or may not have something to do with it. Yesterday I resized the drive that C is on and made four partitions each one for a particular person so that the files didn't get mixed.I used Norton Partition Magic and at the end of each task a window would pop up stating that I should make a new rescue disk
For years now people have been sending me e-mails with ''wmv attachments and I haven't had any trouble opening them until a few days ago. Now every time I try to open one of these attachments I get the following error message. OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: *.wmv''where the Asterix is the name of the file. Does anybody have any ideas what my problem is? I know I am getting these files from a trusted friend so I am not worried about getting a virus. Like I said, I have been opening them for years. I have no trouble playing the ''wmv files that I have saved on the computer.
I am running windows xp and outlook express. I often receive emails from friends who send me attachments that I cannot open. They are usually from an older computer, probably running microsoft works, not word. They are wps files. I have tried downloading a converter, but it didn't work. Sometimes I can open them but all I get is symbols.
I have the XP home and had the Zone alarm installed. Since I have installed the new service pack for XP I have problems with the outlook. It shows me sending & receiving error and doesnt open. I reset the account again for outlook after consulting the ISP but still not luck.
I have Windows xp pro on an IBM Think Center. I can receive, download and print a large file using Outlook Express. If I then try to forward this file, either the recipient gets it but is unable to open it or it is scrambled and unreadible... OR... the recipient never recieves it and then I receive 2 or 3 emails (depending on the size of the file) stating FROM: "mail delivery system" and SUBJECT: "delivery status notification". I AM able to upload or forward small files of say 2 or 3 pages without a problem. I've tried to find some setting that I could change but have be unsuccessful.
I upgraded to Windows Live Mail and now am unable to view my previous e-mails in my hot mail account that i have had for years. How do i retrieve these e-mails that i believe are still on the server?
I don't know what happened, but my default e-mail program in MS Word changed by itself and now when I try to send to and mail recipient it uses Outlook instead of Outlook Express like I originally had setup.
I've messed up something to do with Internet Explorer. First of all, when I open IE all I get is a blank page. No error message or anything. I try to go to a site and the address bar stays at "http:///". I tried repairing my Windows 2000 installation and it didn't help at all. Now it's reverted back to IE5 and Outlook Express 5. So I tried to reinstall IE6 by downloading the installation file and running it. I have Windows XP and i have dialup connection. We were using ISP Monsters internet service and that's where the problem started. I can connect to the internet and surf for a while and i disconnect it. But when i go back later to get on it, it will connect and everything but when i search for something, it will first display this: No Page To Display on the bar Action Canceled internet explorer was unable to link to the web page you requested. The page might be unavailable. Then it says to refresh the page or try again later, etc. When i hit the refresh button it displays this error message: The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

I have a friend that I am trying to help and I am stumped. Her sister downloaded a program and every since then she can't access pogo.com. It gives her the following error.applet(s) in this HTML page requires a version of java different from the one the browser is currently using in order to run the apple(s) in this HTML page, a new browser session is I had her click ok to start a new session and still a don't work. I check her java version and it is up to date. I then had her clear her temp file and cookies. Still won't work.
When I try to send a multi-page fax from WORD or Power-Point, only the first page or slide appears in the FAX. This is a recently developed problem. I've successfully sent multi-page FAXes in the past.
I continuously get 'ERROR this page cannot be displayed' when I try to send a greeting card or access another web page. What is going on? I tried to fix and enabled all that I thought was necessary on settings.
