i got problem with internet explorer. when i close ie, it shows an error message like this, "The instruction at"0x0291341a" referenced memory at"0x029c2b18". The memory could not be read". Then after i just left with ok button to go with. if i click 10-15 times on the same till that it will continuously shows message and then after it works well. But this message bugs me all the time when i close ie.

The instruction at "0x009a6f9a" referenced memory at "0x00000000" could not be written. The moment I noticed this issue was after an install of my Printer/Fax/scanner by HP, It is a wireless printer so the firewall asked if it should unblock for the install process. My question is should I try to go back to a restore point before that install or is there a workaround for this error.

When I close that, I get a Windows Explorer error message that says "Windows Explorer needs to close". I use one mouse for both computers - connected through a 2 port KVM switch. On the older machine, the mouse hangs after I close Internet Explorer. After a delay of a minute or so, it does come back most often. This does not ahppen on the new machine. Mouse does not seem to hang after I close other programs..(tested a few, but cant swear by it). This gets very annoying when I am in a rush.

All my folders open then freeze and i have to close through the windows task manager.This happens almost immediately when i access my harddrive F from a shortcut on the desktop. It doesn't happen as fast when accessing other folders on the desktop or folders through shortcuts on the desktop, but within time errors all the same. I've also noticed a program opens in the windows task manager whenever this happens.The program is drwtsn32.exe.

Lately out of nowhere ive been recieveing error messages when i close internet explorer. When i close it first i get an error report screen. Then I shut down the system and started to work the next day. Every thing is perfectly ok except for one thing. In Windows Explorer, on any folder or drive if I double click or open I get a crash. I know this is processor memory not storage memory that governs the speed, but I thought you needed to know that bit of info. It will log onto the internet - eventually - but is exceptionally slow and will not open any pages - although the browser window opens it keeps saying 'page cannot be displayed'. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy EZ security software expired and within a couple of days I couldn't access the Internet. I have since installed Norton 2006 and ran a scan but I still can't access. I can use Outlook Express OK though. I followed instructions off another site which is recommended before posting a HijackThis log. I ran the ATF Cleaner, then created a restore point. I then ran Ad-aware SE bt couldn't run the webupdate feature as I have no internet connection due to this problem. I ran the scan anyway. I then ran AVG Anti-spyware though again couldn't update the definition files because I couldn't connect due to the problem I have. I ran the scan anyway. I couldn't run the Panda Activescan because I again can't connect. I have attached the report from the AVG Anti-spyware scan along with the HijackThis report and uninstall_list. I am posting this from my friends PC so will have to go back and forward to do what you recommend.

View 14 Replies View RelatedLately I'm getting the "I.E. has encountered a problem and needs to close" message so of course I lose what I had open and have to start over. It's not doing it constantly or consistant on the same websites but it is at least a few to several times a day now. It seems to do it most often when leaving a site and trying to go back to whatever preceeded it especially if I click the back button more than once(unnecessary habit I know).
Here is the info shown for the problem:

The offset # is the only one that is different each time it comes up.
* I've ran the Norton system scan a few times( just their regular version, not their registry cleaner)
* ran CW Schredder
* ran Ad Aware
* Keep Spyware Blaster up to date
* and tried CCcleaner
None of which made any difference.
