i have a hp deskjet 4180 and for the first few months i had it, i've had no problems. Since then it hasn't worked properly. it keeps giving me an error that the hp cue-scanning flow component has encountered a problem and needs to close. and i usually scan my checks to my bank thru my scanner but now my bank isn't even picking up that i have a scanner.

When i restarted my computer it was running at a constant 50% cpu usage.went to task manager and saw one of my svchost.exe running at 50%. I closed it out then my cpu restarted on its own. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having some problems with my XP pro Dell computer. Recently my brother downloaded some songs off of Limewire ( I know it's really bad). I have AVG free installed and it detected multiple viruses as mshypiw.dll I prompted to remove them, and it warned my system may become unstable or crash, I still clicked to remove them and after a re-boot my computer opened up to an error.winlogon.exe - Unable To Locate Component.This application failed to start because mshypiw.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.After I click OK it gives me the same error over and over again for different .exe files. Ex: lsass.exe, Services.exe.It Then opens the logon to windows screen and I can login as normal. Then it gives me many more of the same errors, which if I enter through all of them, I can eventually get to the desktop. Then, if I try to run any program I get more of this same error, depending on which program I try to open, some will open and some will not.
I have googled for this error for hours on end and can't find an answer. I did find this KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319114. Which seams to relate to my problem but the file framedyn.dll is not in my dllcache folder and I cannot get to my System setteing because of this error.
Have a Windows XP Home Edition. Whenever I boot, get following: "Icu.exe - Unable to Locate Component...This application has failed to start because WNIAPI.dll was not foumd. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Have no idea what the problem is, nor how to resolve it, nor -if insignificant, how to get rid of the message. PC2 connects and sees printer when I cable the USB DIRECTLY to the printer instead of going thru a switch. Therefore, I know PC2 can print. Have tried 2 different switches. An A/B data switch and Belkin's 4x1 USB Peripheral Switch F1U401. PC1 works with both switches but PC2 does not.

I see no instance of it after running AdAware again, but when trying to run Spybot S&D and Panda Scan my computer locked up on both programs. I've ran HJT and see no reference to FastSearch, but do see a few WinLogOn entries that look suspicous to me, as well as a Wild Tangent entry I know will need to be removed. I successfully cleared out all traces of the virus that I could find using ad-aware and trend micro house call.When I was scanning with adaware, it shows the filenames and paths being scanned. There were all of these files(and I mean thousands) with porn names, and I had never put them there. Adaware didn't catch them as any sort of bad file either. The weird thing is, when I went to the directory that it said they were located in, nothing was there. I even made hidden files visible and still nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently deleted a folder that i wasn't supposed to delete inside my EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE. Inside that folder were 2 other very important sub folders. It was over 8 gigs so when i deleted it, i fortunately commited the same mistake of pressing the "yes" button again when it asked the files to bypass the recycling bin being permanently deleted from the computer. In fact it happened so fast it seemed like it vaporized. It was hard to believe that over 8 gigs of files were eliminated that fast, whereas usually any big file i would delete would normally take a while for the computer to process. I seriously doubt the worst here, and i have tried about 4 data recovery programs that were only able to detect the very main folder that was deleted but not the more important 2 subfolders inside of it containing the big chunk of the data. I've even been able to detect files that were deleted months ago through these programs, but not the important 8 gigabyte chunk i just deleted an hour ago. By the way i tried scanning both the C rive(main) and the external hard drive and browsing through the :/recycle folders, but to no avail

Re-Installing the application may fix this problem" In the blue bit at the top of the box it also says Isass.exe - Unable to Locate Component.If i keep pressing the x on this box it lets me log into windows my background picture appears but nothing else.
I get the same message but this time it says userinit.exe - Unable to locate component i press the X and it says the same but explorer.exe in the corner. It then just shows my background picture and nothing else. If i CTL ALT DEL it says the same box but taskmanager.exe in the corner but then the task manager comes on i cnat really do nothing else.
