View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden Snipping Tool is losing anything I try to save in jpeg format. It says it saves in the folder where I asked it to but nothing is there. When I redo the snip it tells me that file already exist. When I do a search the file shows up as being in as a Recent file used but nowhere else.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe only way i can make the snipping tool open is using the start menu, but that doesnt work if im watching a video that takes up the entire screen because it also covers the start menu. so is there a way to make the snipping tool open using keyboard commands?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Windows 7 on my laptop and have noticed a peculiar issue...when I save a jpeg to a folder or the desktop and then go to change the date, after I hit enter to confirm the change the image disappears from view. The same thing happens when I try and save a jpeg using the Snipping Tool, as well - the image is just gone! However, if I try to download a new image without changing the date and name it the same as the image that vanished, it won't let me do it because the name is already in use. So it appears that the image is still within the folder, but I can't get access to it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new machine with 7 pro. for one of our office secretaries. When setting up the windows live mail I could not find the tool bar for options on adding a signature. I have read several posts in other forums about where it should be or using Alt+M but none of these work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Vista, I could turn off snipping tool via Turn Windows Features On and Off > uncheck Tablet PC Components.
In Win 7, I read that snipping too is part of the operating system in Home Premium, Ultimate, Pro and Enterprise. Unchecking Tablet PC Components will not disable snipping tool.
So, how do I disable it, or is it possible at all ?

I figured there was aglitch in the install. I formated and reinstalled windows 7 from a usb drive i created on another computer. that i just installed the windows 7 usb dvd tool on. windows loaded fine, so first thing i tried to install the windows 7 usb dvd tool would not install. so formated and started again. NOD 32. windows office all went well. tried again to install the Win 7 usb dvd tool no joy. I have googled the problem there is no info out there on this problem. View 2 Replies View RelatedSo anyone used this tool? I have an ISO file that I purchased/downloaded from Digital River and I am trying to make a bootable USB drive. I have a brand new 16GB drive that I am trying to use so it has PLENTY of space on it. Anyway, I go to run to tool and it gets to the part where it says formatting and then it says something like "we are unable to copy your files, check the USB drive and the ISO and try again."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running windows 7 for long time and I havent came accross this yet , so this is what happend in shorter version, I was using my computer when the screen just went black. I just tought to myself its probably something wrong with my memory so i ran the Memory Diagnostic Tool ,I picked the first choice that it recommended "Save work and restart the system". The computer restarted, and the tool started to work after 15-20 minutes it was nearly done 90 somthing , i just went down stairs to get a drink and when i came backed upstairs i realised that the scanning is at 8% again , I tought maybe thats how it works , scans 2-3 times , i lefted the computer working over the night when i waken up the tool was still working , went to work , came backed and the tool was still working , i just said to myself this has to be wrong , i unpluged the pc left it over the night. Turned it on , the diagnostic tool started itself again , The scan was neraly over when just again i realised that this think goes in infinity. I pressed the " Esc" button as it said to finish but when i press the button the scan just resets and goes from 0% again, It doesnt want to let me run safe mode or anything else , only go to bios set up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for this, but all the terms are so generic I got billions of hits. There is a shortcut.I guess it's "pinned" to the taskbar (is it a toolbar?). I could swear when I first installed Windows 7 that it was setup to be a shortcut to the "computer". However, it now always opens up to the "libraries". I even deleted (unpinned) it and tried pinning a new shortcut so it would open up to my "computer", but it still opens up to the "library". I have no use for "libraries". How do I fix this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've never quote seen this problem, but I'm trying to burn the ISO for Windows 7 with the Microsoft download tool, and it can't find the dvd drive. Unfortunately the tool does not give you the option to search for it.
The only thing I can see that might be it is in Device Manager it shows up as a CD-ROM. Yet the drive functions and burns fine. I just upgraded to latest firmware. Drive is Asus DRW-1814BLT.

Tried the manual install of SP 1 from the MS website and it fails and tells me to "Check for Update Readiness Tool" Downloaded that tool and attempted to execute it and it also fails. The readiness tool reports "Installed encountered an error: 0x8007000d, The data is invalid".The Laptop originally came with Vista and later a Win 7 x64 DVD was supplied, and was upgraded about a year ago. We noticed there was two C++ Security updates that have been trying to update everytime the PC is turned off since JUNE 2011.how I can get the readiness tool to work? If I cannot make the tool work I know I have no chance of installing 46 missing secuity updates.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried to run Windows Network Diagnostics and an error occurred. In the details it said the diagnostic file was 'restricted'.I searched around for answers and found a suggestion to run 'sfc/scannow' in an elevated command prompt. The file checker reported no 'integrity violations' but the Windows Network Diagnostics tool suddenly worked! (in the 2 year life of my Sony Vaio I don't recall it ever working before). The problem: when I next turn on my computer after it has been shut down, the Windows Network Diagnostics tool has stopped working again - unless I run 'sfc/scannow' - then it runs fine.
