Tools Creating Virtual Drives
May 12, 2009can any body tell me what are you using for creating virtual drives.
I tried to use DAEMON tools and alcohol with no luck..

Creating RAID0 With Two Drives - Low Capacity Available
Mar 18, 2012I'm trying to create RAID0 with two drives. The first is 320GB and second 1TB. I know it won't be 1,32TB. The summary capacity should be 1229,5 GB (298.0 + 931.5). It asks for RAID name, RAID level, Strip Size and Capacity. Capacity is by default 596.2 GB and below is "The default value indicates the maximum capacity using the selected disks....". I hope the maximum size could be at least 1100GB. How is it possible to have available only a half of the smaller drive? I have:
GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3-B3 (BIOS version F10)
Drives Samsung (320GB) and Western Digital (1.0TB)
CPU: Intel Core i3-2100
Windows 7 Creating Alphabetized Headers And Organizing Contents Of Flash Drives?
Mar 11, 2012Windows 7 HP has suddenly started to create headers for the alphabetical groups it has started to organize the contents of my flash drives into. Here is an example: The headers were not there last week, they have not been there since the system was built a year ago, they are not on the drives themselves and they do not appear when the flash drives are plugged into my XP system. I have made no changes that would account for the appearance of these headers during the past week or so.

Nov 6, 2012My Windows 7 Pro x64 has twice had to be completely reinstalled after serious faults.Each time before the crash Virtual XP had been installed and had created its own VHD.Both VHDs have been preserved, but the Virtual machine(s) have apparently isappeared. On each Windows 7 reinstallation, the important folders from the previous version were saved in a Windows.Old folder. I now want to reinstall VirtualXP and choose one of the old VHDs rather than create yet another one. What is the easiest and fastest way to do that?

Oct 4, 2011I have searched google for ours trying to find a fix for this but to no avail.CD drive and virtual drives dont appear in my computer and whenever i put in a dvd nothing comes up.it appears in device manager and disc management however so i know there is nothing physically wrong with the optical drive. Under disc manager i can see the details about the dvd such as dvd name, size etc.i tried changing drive letter and path but unfortunately that doesnt fix it. the letter "applies" for a second then disappears again.

Sep 6, 2012Got a new Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit machine, found that it did not come with virtual PC. Downloaded the critical patch Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu and installed it. Windows Virtual PC shows up in my Start Menu. Good so far. I go through the steps to create a virtual machine and use the option to 'use an existing vhd file' and when I click 'Create' I get the above pop-up message "Cannot attach the virtual hard disk to the virtual machine. Check values and try again". A factual message but completely useless as with all error messages from Microsoft. I have tried the following:1. When I attach that vhd using Disk Management, it mounts in drive E:, I can see the files and browse the dirs in E:. In the Disk Management View, the drive shows up as 127 Gigs but 107 is unallocated space. The physical size of the vhd is only 25 Gigs2. Others in my company were able to create the virtual machine with the same vhd, checked the byte size and timing, so nothing is wrong with the vhd file itself.
3. Tried to create after shutting down all virus protection including the Micorsoft antimalware protection service. No luck4. Tried Vhd resize to resize the vhd to a smaller size (since it showed up in disk management as 127 Gigs, I thought maybe it was that size), but VHDResizer could not open the input file, gave an errors "Can only load fixed or dynamic drives"

Nov 2, 2010Both my home workstation(core i 5 ,750, 6 gig ram) and laptop(amd turion, 4 gigs of ram,hp pavilion ) runs on ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. my development environment is centos 5.5 running on virtualbox in both of my machines.i'm in a vacation now...yesterday i accidentally broke the screen of the laptop. And my wife insisted for "romantic" vacation and in other words a severely remote place where there is no way of fixing my laptop until i get back to the city. All i have now is my wife's laptop which runs on windows 7 and a very slow dial up modem. so big downloads are out of the question. But i need some work done now and it cant wait. I have searched but i have not found any suitable stuffs for my work...So please help me with the stuffs i need ..i've listed the required things bellow....where can i get them....
1.good c compiler which supports posix standard....i have installed cygwin but if there is any better port for gcc will be wonderful.
2.llvm and clang compilers...
3.good haskell IDE like leksah(haskell does have a good windows port.
4.this is very important....a common lisp package contains slime,sbcl(gnu clisp),emacs bundle.
5.good gnu fortran compiler port.
Search Tools Are Not Working
Nov 11, 2010I have not the Search tool in the Star menu and libraries, just in IE. I have checked the tutorial here, I did everything I checked the box and it's ticked, I don't understand the reason which the Search tool is not working when I accept the changes and it starts to make the changes but at the end a message pops-up and says that some of the features did not change correctly I don't understand what's going on.

One that my son found was when we installed Spy Sweeper. That made it impossible to switch between users, so we uninstalled it. The other major problem has been the Developer's Tools window that pops up when I try to type any reply or information into any program on the internet. I can't get rid of it by hitting the X. Clearly, it is anoying, so he handed it to me to get rid of it. It will not uninstall, as it says it is still active, and must be deactivated. I went into services - found it - disabled it. I went into some .msc thing i saw on the HP forums, disabled it. I went into the BIOS - Disabled it. I have disabled every aspect of it, however, it will still not uninstall, and continues to ask for a password and pin prior to windows starting.
