Some Images Were Not Filling Up The Whole Area Of Which It Should Have?
Mar 30, 2012
I have read many of your threads & would say that I am a "Fan". Although this is probably not the place to post my question, If anyone could direct me in the right directionIn one of my Start Menu libraries, I added the file that contained my music. The menu looked very dull, then the idea came to me that I should make Icon's out of the album artwork. After completing a few, I noticed some images were not filling up the whole area of which it should have. Where as others did. I checked to see if it was the pixel size, no result.
Using an image posting website and I've recently updated to windows 7. I used to be able to have my images come up as thumbnails without having to Right Click > View > Large Icons everytime. Also I used to have filmstrip option.here's where prob isUploaded with ImageShack.usevery time i go to upload a picture it comes up as a list. Now when I explore the folder via Desktop > b > Girls the images come up as thumbnails as i've set it for all folders already. How can I set it for when I'm in IE and uploading?
I've recently installed a Win 7 Professional 64bit and I seem to have a problem. When I install a game, the RAM fills up the whole 4GB and it doesn't refresh or empty during the install or after. What could be the problem.
This morning i noticed that my computer is running slow so I opened Task Manager and found out that cached memory is taking up 5 gbs of my ram soon programs start shutting down and i have to reboot. Cached memory progressively increases until it fills up all my ram. Safe mode works just fine though.
I had a Windows 7 compurer next to my tv to serve as a media center, worked fine but pc was very old so I went out and got a faster new one, so I could also watch bluray movies and other large files.
the new pc works fine also but I'm having a lot of troube with the screen resolution I've got a fullHD 42" Philips lcd tv, and im using the HDMI input on the tv, the ATI card is set to 1920x1080 but the screen is displaying an inch of black all around the desktop..., im using the ati catalist driver in this case.
Windows 7 initially made the card work with wddm 1.0 or something, that picture was perfect! but then the audio did not go through the HDMI cable so i had to install CCC.
so, I either get good picture and no sound or I get an inch of darknes and HDMI sound
I't took me a full day of messing around with drivers and reinstalling Windows 7 twice before I came here, please anyone? what would be the answer to making this work?
This is just a question as I am not too computer minded - running Windows 7 for last year and now I have a small problem. There is this Find bar that comes up and interrupts me when I am typing or even when I am trying to fill in forms online. How to get rid of it have tried so many antivirus scans and it is not picking anything up!
My hard drive fills up to within 5 GB of capacity without me taking any action. I run disk check and everything is fine until the next time I turn on the computer and the disk is full again. I ran a couple of malware tools and they found nothing. When I look through the directories I cannot find any huge files. I have the hidden and system files set as viewable. The HD is 300GB and has about 35 GB of real files.
I just finished a new build and I installed a 40GB SSD thinking it would be enough for just the Windows 7 OS and some drivers. Well, it so happens that the 40GB's rapidly decreased to roughly 2GB's of space... To be honest, I'm not sure how those 40 GB's were used up so fast. I have a couple of programs installed on it such as:
-AVG Anti Virus -NVIDIA Drivers -Motherboard Drivers -Google Chrome
I'm not sure what can bee deleted but I want to delete some of the Windows Service Files such as Windows Mail and etc. but every time i go to delete the folders, it says can't delete because i need permission from TrustedInstaller? I don't know if it was a good idea to buy the 40GB SSD or if I should have gotten something like 80GB. I still have time to return it but I'm not sure if that is the right thing to do because this problem can be fixed or if I should just go bigger.
In the last week or so, I have to reboot my pc almost every day because the RAM usage gets up to 93% and I can't do anything, even launch taskmanager. When I've caught it before it was too full, I saw that almost nothing was listed as using RAM (system was at like 80MB). Essentially, RAM is "in use", but the use is not explained by taskmgr or perfmon.I'm prepared to learn that it's a BIOS or mem controller issue, but it never happened in several years of XP and Vista on the same rig. Also I see I'm not the only one with the same issue on Win 7 64bit: Win 7 64bit Ram Filling Up Problem?
I have an HP Monitor 2310m model and HP Pavilion p6310f desktop computer with NVIDIA GeForce 9100 integrated graphics. I had to reinstall windows and afterwards could not play some of my games to fill monitor screen completely. (are set to play full screen)Before the reinstall, I could adjust the resolution to 1440x900 to get them to fill the screen but that won't work now. I got a few to fill it with 1600x1200 but only a few. I've read that other people have this problem but no solutions have worked. Tried changing resolution, setting full screen mode, hitting ALT & ENTER keys.
I've just built a new computer with Windows 7 and a gigabyte brand radeon HD4890 and have been having the same issue as some other users with regard to the over/underscan.
I managed to correct the inch or so of unfilled space when displaying the desktop by using the under/overscan utility in CCC (thanks to info on this forum ^_^) but found that the problem still exists when I ran my first full-screen applications.
I installed, updated, and ran Spore: Galactic Adventures to take a look at how my system was going to handle everything, but found that the dreaded inch was back. The really odd thing was that when I switched Spore to windowed mode, the inch had gone and I could maximise to full-screen. Of course, the window header and taskbar kind of detract from the game, but this isn't necessarily an issue for Spore (which can hardly be described as immersive).
I am, however, concerned that this issue may pop up in other games where the window header and taskbar will detract from the game (if it operates well in windowed mode at all).
I plan on investigating further later today, possibly in the direction of motherboard and chipset drivers, but also testing with other games.
When the password window appears on startup, it immediately fills with dots. I can remove them by backspacing then deleting. How do I stop it from happening?
I have a folder called nCoreTMP located at C:UsersMyNAMEAppDataLocalTemp that gets FILLED with files called nCoreNDB.1 through 1003 and is 185MB HUGE each.
Anyone know what the heck this it? I've done disk cleanup and now my C drive is LOW on space again. Temporary files in the Disk Cleanup shows that there are 238 GB that I can gain by deleting.
I have a Toshiba L755 Laptop with Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel. I hooked up the laptop via HDMI cable to a TV monitor. It worked great, but afterwards the screen will not fill up. I can't adjust the overscan and am stuck.
I've got a problem with my C: drive (which has Windows on it) slowly filling up. It started last night when all of sudden 3gb just disappeared from the HDD and by the end of the night I only had like 100kb left. I thought at first that there were some temp or junk files on there but after a few runs of disk cleanup and the app CleanUp! It was still going. That convinced me that there was some trojan or virus messing around with my drive information (system volume information). I did a scan with Malware, AVG, Kaspersky and Spybot and even though I found a few nasties getting rid of them didn't work. I'm at a loss of how to fix this, I didn't copy or install anything on C: and neither did I put a page file on it. And I know that having low space on your system drive can cause slowdowns and crashes.
i downloaded Puran Free Defrag to maintain my computer, the defrag process has no problems, the optimizing process also has no problems. but, when it goes to the filling gaps process, it crashes halfway..
Problem: Internet Explorer 9 and also Firefox 5 do not load web images. Strangely though, Google Chrome seems to work. Attached you will find some screen captures. I think both were done before the browsers were updated. So far, I've updated the browsers to the newest version, and updated java to 6.26.
I have been trying to make my USB drive bootable with this ISO with several programs for quite awhilenow. method that i can use to make this NON iso image bootable? Or atleast figure out what kinda of boot file its using (such as linux, windows, etc) so i can configure the best program i've found so far? Its called YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator. It has the ability to be able to boot several types of ISO images ranging from Linux Ubuntu, Windows, Hirens Boot CD, to HP Automatic Firmware update, even Acronis! and more.plus its free! how to figure out which type of boot to choose by browsing contents after mounting the image and then configure this program with the proper settings. I did find something that said Windows, but its a folder. Not only that but as I've said I've tried several different USB to DVD tools, all of them windows and none of them worked.
Win7 Pro x 64,all updates are current.I am encountering a minor aggravation.......This problem is common to all programs, when working say with word on monitor one, I will see ghost images of word on monitor two and parts of the image will flash across monitor one.

It got to the point where I restored my computer to factory settings. Everything worked until I used Windows Update. However, I just uninstalled them and tried and I couldn't view them this time so now I'm not sure if it really is because of Windows Update. I have yet to install an anti-virus as it was literally just yesterday I did this, so I know it's not an issue with an anti-virus. I cannot view any product images from the sites katespade.com, luckybrand.com, and claires.com. (was trying to do a little Christmas shopping, ha!) I noticed all of them have a zoom + and - feature.
I have a windows 7 ultimate 32 bit 7600 dvd. There is no ei.cfg file. I want to make it a universal disc. but there is a file called "install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg" in the sources folder. I checked the install.wim file with imagex.but it only contain one image of ultimate. Is tere any way to make a universal disc from it (only 32 bit) by adding other images to install.wim
I have been working with Windows 7 Professional a few monhts now and whenever I pose my mouse over the "E" (Internet) icon they used to appear all the windows I have open for instance "Google", "Wikipedia", "Hotmail", etc., in other words I could see the images of each one of those websites in small size.
Nevertheless since a few days ago whenever I pose my mouse over the "E" icon they appear only the texts of the websites I have open, not the small screens.
What can I do to get back to see the small screens displayed ?
So, I've been using Tinypic for a while with no problems, but recently I haven't been able to see images uploaded to it nor even access the website itself. Strangely, I'm able to see direct links to pictures, but once again, not the pictures if used like <img src="tinypic link">. Anyone have any ideas what's going on? I can go on Tinypic on every other computer in my house, but not on this one.
I am having a strange problem loading certain websites from my new computer. I'm sure there is a relatively straight forward solution to my problem, but I am too ignorant to solve it myself. I have done plenty of google searching, but so far have not uncovered any solutions. My PC specs are in my profile.Very often when I search for an item on Ebay, or load a certain (legal) movie streaming website, the websites take a long time to load, and the thumbnail images do not load properly. i.e sometimes a few load, while the rest do not (e.g. just say "Item Image"). This problem occurs with both IE and Firefox. It is not the "Load Images Automatically" option in Firefox, as that has always been selected.
My computer has both a Wireless and LAN connection to my router. Usually only one of the connections is enabled. I have found a work-around that fixes the problem for a short while. If I try load the certain movie streaming website, and I am having problems, I disable the network connection (e.g LAN) and enable the other one (e.g. wireless). The website often loads then. If not, I re-enable it the way it was, and it usually works then. I can then access the site properly, although all the images still do not load - usually about 3/4 do. I am using a VPN to access the movie streaming site. However, I also access this site from two laptops in the house, both through the VPN, and they have no trouble at all loading the website correctly.
After upgrading to Win& Pro i'm not able to save these files to a location of my choosing. example:I attempt to save an image to a folder I get the following Error message Quote: You Don't have permission to save in this location.Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the My Pictures folder instead? WTH!?! I am the administrator and I'm 99% sure I've got permission to do this already. I've checked the settings for this folder and it shows that i've got all the permissions and "Full Control".
I recently purchased a Gateway FX6860-UR20P Desktop PC with an Intel Core i7-2600 processor running @ 3.4GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM & ATI Radeon HD 6750 video card. The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
I'm experiencing an excessive amount of pixelation whenever I zoom into any photo file I happen to be viewing. I know that the pixelation is not native to the viewed files because when magnified in a similar fashion on my other machine, which is a ten year old Gateway 500X with Pentium 4, XP and NVidia GeForce4 MX-440 graphics card using the same monitor, the same files look fine, i.e., they exhibit a smoother graininess which is the way they look on other PCs as well.
The pixelation is clearly being generated by some component of the new machine, but I cannot determine if the video card, some part of the mobo, the OS or even a bad driver or setting is at fault. The Gateway/Acer service technicians couldn't determine this either since they shipped the unit back to me and claimed they couldn't see any problems.
I've posted two screen captures of a small jpg file, the first as it appears on the new unit with excessive pixelation, and the same file again as seen on the older machine, minus the pixelated distortion, which is how it should look:
I also notice the same type of pixelation when viewing low quality, small frame videos similarly zoomed in and even some fonts of html pages exhibit subtle amounts of pixelation too, as does Weather Bug's temperature icon as viewed in the system tray (though other system tray icons seem strangely unaffected).
I'm scheduled to send the tower back to Acer's service center once again, but I am worried about the very real possibility of the unit being returned to me once again in the same condition in which I shipped it out. Needless to say, I'm extremely upset about having purchased a brand new PC containing this issue right out of the box and sincerely hope that somebody in this forum might be able to offer some suggestions as to how this problem might be corrected, should Gateway/Acer fail to do so.
Suddenly, I am getting half greyed out images when I click on a thumbnail. Had 25 out of 67 on a card I just uploaded and thought it was a corrupted card but just tried to open an image from several months ago and the same thing happened - only get the top half of the image. Not always half, might only be a third.
I recently built a new pc and installed seven as my os. I couldn't help but automatically notice that the screen dims to darker images... I have never had this problem before with my monitor. I knew it had to be a seven feature.. Yet I can't disable it... I've tried hardware device options and power saving options... This is a stupid feature... Why would you want to Dim the screen on an already dark image....I cannot play certain games because it gets way to dark to see anything.
