View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HP-dm4 2070us and the touchpad will not work. When I go to hidden devices and the driver( Alps) for it is flagged that its not working properly and has an error code 24 for not working or present. I updated the driver and bios (and before that tried rolling back the bios. I even go to Update Driver and it says it's updated and no issues, but then when I exit back out to the main list the error code is still there and it doesn't work. I have to use tab as I don't actually have a mouse. I am on a different computer now. Another HP that I can't get the wireless printer to work on (which is an HP - a gift, otherwise I at this point would not have purchased another HP product).

If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
View 9 Replies View RelatedLately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. The mouse automatically installs everytime I have to reboot. I do not shut down normaly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used my Turtle Beach Headset while playing a game and since then the computer has started saying i have two mice connected to my computer. The problem is that since its reading two mice the one i have been using forever has stopped working right.ouble Click is disabled and it moves extremely fast. I go to disable the HID Mouse and everything is working fine again. But when the computer restarts it seems to reinitalize the HID Mouse. So i uninstalled the driver for it. Next reboot it was back again and this time the headset wasnt even plugged in. I am not getting any error messages in my device manager but i cant seem to get the HID mouse to disappear. Whenever i plug anything into the USB port even if its a Thumb drive the mouse comes back.

Basically I can't use my mouse, and I am on the verge of installing Kubuntu and wiping Win 7 off. I really don't want to do that though (two programs on Windows I need).
How it started? No clue. Last program I installed was yesterday (Final Draft), and it was working fine for hours this morning. I tried using another mouse, but that didn't work. Also my keyboard stopped working too, after my mouse, but now it's working.
the mouse works on the log-in screen but not at all once you log in.

I looked for drivers thinking I maybe needed to update them, but it says drivers are not required. I have disconnected and reconnected the mouse from my PC, which is running Windows 7, and still no luck.

My problem is that my usb mouse is correctly recognized by Windows 7 x64 (no exclamation points in device manager) but it refuses to work, the mouse arrow doesn't moves...
The curious is that the first time I booted into Windows 7, the mouse worked but in the next boots I had to "Deactivate" and "Activate" the mouse in the device manager.
I've already uninstalled/reinstalled the mouse and connected it to the other USB ports (wich I'm sure that works because I can connect pen drives that work flawlessly).
An additional note might be that this same mouse works fine under Vista (is there a way to use Vista generic drivers in Windows 7?).

I have been considering jumping to this OS on my new box I am building but one thing that is holding me back is the fact that I have yet to find a concrete way to remove mouse acceleration within the OS at the system level. Has anyone successfully removed the acceleration without using drivers or special mouse software?

It works a treat for me but it does not change to my Game Profile when I start any of the games. I thought it was Vegas 2 the problem since it was the worst (read: unfinished/unoptimized) console ported game ever made but I have had the same issues now with CoD4 & Crysis Warhead.
Now, changing it manually works on all the games (except for Vegas of course!) but it just won't do it automatically.
Asking this question sounds familiar so sorry if I have another post going on.
I've just put 4*USB extensions around the side of my room (concealed within cable magic) so I can use a wired mouse & keyboard at my desk rather than wireless. Will I notice any difference in gaming i.e. Lag in FPS games?

When i first built it i was getting mouse lag of a split second and started getting the blue screen of death, so i then took my pc back to the shop in which i got the parts and they fixed it by replacing my ram i think. But even though they looked at it and re-installed windows im still getting mouse lag. It's not a HUGE problem when doing simple tasks like browsing the web ect.. but when im trying to play games like counter strike its just frustrating to play and trying to be accurate is a task in a half.Just to be clear, what i mean by mouse lag is a tiny delay from me moving the mouse and it displaying which is a fraction of a second but it's very noticeable.Ive tried using various mouses and tweaking the mouse settings in the controll panel and downloading the drivers that i know of but no matter what i do, there is always a slight lag of the mouse. I'm unsure if it's a hardware problem or software but i cant seem to figure it out and i want to try and find the source of the problem before resorting to going back to the shop because it will cost me to get their service and its a really long drive away.
All my other versions of Windows, after the screen saver the PC goes blank, moving the mouse and it sprang back into life, why is it Win 7 requires a reboot.?
