View 5 Replies View RelatedI've tried the Photo viewer in Windows 7 and it is not a patch on the old XP photo viewer in the ease of being able to print multiple photos. In the XP you could click on any thumb nail and then Print. This then brought up all your thumbnails and you could make a multiple selection by ticking the wanted thumbnails. This is not possible in Windows. In order to print multiple prints of thumbnails you have to rename the thumbnails so they are in order in the file. Then you highlight them, right click for Print and then select the amount of prints per page. This adds several unnecessary actions while prolonging of the whole opeation by minutes. have tried other viewers which may , or may not, be better for editing or

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a problem with my Gateway NV73 laptop where I would get a BSOD whenever I was viewing video on the internet, viewing pictures in my photo editing program and now after about 5 minutes of just using the internet. The BSOD would come up in a square in the center of the screen and dissappear within seconds. Then the system would still show the power light as on but a blank screen and unresponsive. I would press and hold power button until shutdown and try to restart but only the fan sound was working but nothing else. And after about 30 to 40 minutes later it would boot up just fine, but would then crash after minutes of using it. I tried to get the info needed from the dump files but I literally had to do the whole process stated above many times and I saved the minidump files to my network drive so I could post this on my desktop computer.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM
Laptop is about 17 months old
I attached a text file with the contents of one of the minidump files.
I have just bought a new laptop with Windows 7. I have thoasands od photos and many home movies stored on USB sticks. Problem is when I plug it in there is no option to select which files I would like to copy. I have looked in the settings and can not find the option, it just copies all which I don't want that.
It also saves them by date and not in the named files I have them in on the key.The same with my camera, I use photos for Ebay and on XP would select the ones I wanted, saved to a file and then could easily adjust them. Now it just wants to copy them all. Also can you suggest a user friendly program for adjusting my photos.
I do not have easy share software in my new computer. How to I transfer photos to the computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way I can stop my photo viewer automatically setting files to "hidden" when I rotate them?I can go through manually and do it but I have to do it with EVERY photo I upload and believe me there are a LOT of photos being uploaded to my computer every day. so this will be ludicrously time consuming.I have set every file I can find to "show hidden" but that isn't the point they shouldn't be hidden in the first place.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem getting Media Center to display my Photos showing the individual photos contents of each folder.I am running Windows 7 HP 64 bit with all updates. My MEDIA (movies, music & photos) are on a separate hdd (M). Each of the media formats has it's own folder on the M drive, Movies, Music & Photos. I have no problem with the movies or the music. However, when I choose "pictures" in Windows Media Center only the individual photos folders are shown....no photos are shown in these folders. I see the individual folders but no contents. I have set up "Libraries" on the C: drive; Music, Video & Photos. When I click on photos in the "Libraries" all the photos folders are show each with it's own photos. I have "Shared" these libraries as well as each folder on the Media drive M. The format of the individual photos is jpg. I have run SFC/Scannow.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn some foolish whim I (yes, I know) made the mistake of trying to update the BIOS for my Windows 7-bearing Compaq laptop. The update failed and now whenever I simply let it boot it goes to a black screen and makes a loud beeping sound. I can operate Windows normally if I tap escape once and boot from that menu.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to take out windows 7. I really like it, but I am finding more and more conflictions with the programs and sites I use each day. Example: Windows 7 does not support Microsoft Office Live where my website is, or World of Warcraft (video card problem). Both work fine on XP. So i decided to revert back. Problem is when I boot up I have three options.
"OLDER VERSION OF WINDOWS", "WINDOWS7" AND "SYSTEM RESTORE". Now system restore and older version of windows brings me to the same page and asks me for an admin password. A password that was never set up. We never put a password on this computer. I just tried clicking enter to bypass the nonexsistant password but that didnt work. After 3 attempts it boots me.
How do I roll back?
I also have the Pavilion Slimline by HP which doesnt require a disk and key to reformat the computer, its built in.
id like to roll back from windows 7 to xp.
I have xp service pack 3.....any problems other than xp can only support 4MB of memory
Is there any photo editing software comparable to the old Adobe PhotoDeluxe. I have tried Gimp, Picasso and paid for other versions of Adobe. None are as user friendly and have the editing tools that PhotoDeluxe had.
View 5 Replies View RelatedExplorer won't update thumbnails after I alter a photo, for example by rotating sideways photos (that is, permanently rotating, using a photo editor program), or by cropping.
How do I get the thumbnails to update?
This is happening for all photos (not just certain ones).
I have tried:
- View > Refresh
- Copying the photos to a new folder and renaming them. Even if a photo has been drastically cropped, the thumbnail is still showing the original, whole one - that is, it's showing parts of the file that DON'T EVEN EXIST
- Entirely disabling the thumbnail cache: Group Policy Editor > 'Turn off caching of thumbnails in hidden thumbs.db files'. This *must* force Windows to redraw the thumbnail - but it doesn't!
- Restarting computer after each of the above steps

I am tired of reinstalling Windows every time due to viruses and slow down on PC.
I read some where that there are softwares called 'disc imaging software' or something that can restore windows back to the way it was when it was installed (Freshly installed windows) .
The other day I was experiencing some issues with my ATI 4350. I updated to the new 9.2 driver when it became available and didnt have any issues. I went to play my Test Drive game and i lost the sound and also game would freeze. I decided to roll back the driver to see if it would fix the prob and BAM! I got a BSOD! very unexpected! First time I utilized the driver roll back option in Windows 7. I was wondering if this is a known issue? Anyone else experience this?
I know my hardware is in good shape so I decided to do a system restore and all seems fine now when I play Test Drive.
my win 7 photo viewer does the weirdest thing!! when i view my photos and rotate them and close the viewer, they disappear from my folder where they were originally stored in. i've checked my deleted items. no luck. searched whole pc for edited files and names of files that disappeared. no luck there either. i tested it on my hubby's pc. exact same result there.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using my parents computer for the last few months and decided to make my own user/log-in the other day. After doing so, I cut/pasted my photos folder into my new user directory (or whatever, I'm not very techie..). I have thousands of photos, my BF is a photographer, and I can view most of them. However, in one particular folder 90% of them aren't viewable! Says I don't have permission... When I log back into parents windows, I can see the photos in my directory (as they are no longer located in theirs) but there are little gold padlocks on the ones I cannot see on my log-in. I've tried changing permissions, ownership, you name it.. I've looked for help on line and tried everything. The only thing that seems to work is if I right click on each individual photo and change things that way.

The driver for Windows 7 was found by Windows Update "Intel CE9500 DVB-T (Enh) Receiver" v 2.1.0.136
Anyone experiencing the same issue? Or any hint?
