i have prolem with installing my soundcard (supreme fx2) i have inserted it into the port on my motheboard but it doesnt show me anything on my pc i cant even find the driver for it help me plss and im not sure if i need some cabels to attach it on my motherboard i have just attached it into my pci1x slot

The hard drive died, along with the motherboard.I purchased a new hard drive and the full version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and had the shop replace the MB, Install the new hard drive and O/S.The motherboard is an ASUS M4A785-M, with an on-board Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (according to Windows Device Manager).I have a couple of additional cards installed, one is an eSata controller for an external hard drive and the other is a SIIG DP FireWire 800 3-Port PCIe card.I initially installed the SIIG because the FireWire chip set is Texas Instruments, because I have a PreSonus Firestudio Mobile (sound card, recording hardware)and it only plays nicely with Texas Instruments. The SIIG card shows up in Device Manager under IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers as "Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller", which I "assume" is correct?
My problem is the PreSonus hardware refuses show up in Device Manager or initialize (there is an indicator light on the front of the unit that will glow blue when it is connected or flash blue-red when it isn't). PreSonus has a driver set for the Firestudio Mobile, that is called Universal Control.I have attempted to install Universal Control several times, but each attempt has resulted in failure, with the Driver version showing 0.0.0 etc. I realize this is the problem, but I have no idea how to force the issue.If I could get the PreSonus drivers to install, I would be home free (I think).he PreSonus hardware should show up in Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers, but it doesn't.I have also posted about the issue on the PreSonus forum, but haven't had any solutions posted.This computer and the hardware are what I use to run my Recording Studio and without the Firestudio, I am effectively out of business.I should also note, that I haven't even installed any other software beyond windows 7, other than a couple of utilities. I have a HT Omega Claro sound card that I've been having problems with. One issue that I have is after I uninstall the driver and try to reinstall it. It takes several attempts to install successfully.
Does this mean that the sound card is fualty? I'm not sure exactly how a driver works but i'm thinking it would try to comunicate with the hardware it's intended for and if there is a problem with the hardware that might cause the driver to have a dificult time installing.
I just bought an xps 8300 with a realtek sound card installed. But the spseaker system I have is Audigy Sound Blaster 2ZS. I'm trying to install my speakers, but I keep getting an error message that says my device is not found, and it's all hooked up properly. Do I need to uninstall the realtek program and then install my audigy speakers, or is that even possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an Echo MiaMIDI sound card for recordings, when i first installed it i had to disable my motherboards onboard sound through my bios before windows would use it. This has been fine for 2+ years.
Windows 7 (64 bit home premium) has suddenly started installing the "HD Audio Device Drivers". I dont understand this since I have all windows updates turned off. But when it installs these audio drivers it disables my Echo MiaMIDI card.
So i go to device manager and it shows the Echo card but says there is not enough resources to use it due to other drivers being used, and it lists the HD Audio Device being in use. So i uninstall it but moments after this Windows starts installing it again. It still says disabled in my bios. its driving me crazy because i cant use my sound card!
My motherboard has on board audio which I disabled in my bios in order to use my recording sound card. This worked flawlessly for over 2 years. Then sometime last year Windows installed my "Missing HD Audio Driver" which disabled all sound until i enabled the on board sound in the bios again, this of course meant i couldnt use my recording card.ll Windows and driver updates have been turned off, it still installs.After many attempts at fixes i found online I gave up until more recently when i reformatted the computer and got it working. I have no sound. The only sound device I can see in device manager is a "high definition audio device" which I'm guessing is the x-fi card? I cannot find drivers for the x-fi supreme on the creative website. I've tried a couple of Windows 7 creative driver packs that I've found around the Internet with no luck.
I've got the latest 'soundmax' drivers from the asus website and tried to force install that driver for the "hd audio device" in device manager. When I did this, windows recognized the card as "Soundmax Integrated HD digital audio" but gives an error code 10(device cannot start). I did not think this motherboard had onboard sound, but this description led me to believe so.
I do have the card in the top slot on my motherboard (people have had issues using other slots). The led in the card does light up.
What should I do?
I've recently upgraded my os to windows 7, and noticed a significant
fps drop in all games I've installed. The problem seems to come from the sound card.
I've disabled it in device manager and I gained a steady 15-20 more in most of the applications.
Any idea what to do? Is it a driver issue or something? I got an Athlon 64x2 4600+, Asus M2N mainboard,
2 gigs of ram, Gainward 8800GS video card, Sound Blaster Live 24bit soundcard.
Drivers are downloaded from creative.
Is there some way I can increase the amplification of my sound card which is SoundMax integrated digital audio

I've solved my gaming graphics issues, namely by choosing the parts I wanted rather than buying yet another "Media-Center"-style all-in-one unit that did everything, but not very well, I'm now in need of a solution to my present awful headphone sound quality. I have a generic Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio card that is not very good, sound-wise, and, because it doesn't even include an optical out plug, goes unused. I purchased a refurbished Turtle Beach headset w/DSS decoder, and, while it works as advertised, the headphones are terrible for music. I've replaced the TB Headset with a much better-sounding Pyle set, and will buy some "real" headphones as soon as I've determined that the source itself is sending out a good-sounding signal.I've seen pro and con arguments about sound cards, like the Xonar series that have headphone amplification included. My issue with that is I am more concerned with the graphics for games, and I've built this system with SLI (another gtx580) in mind, and I do not see enough room under or in between the dual GPUs for proper installation of such huge sound cards, though I'm glad to have my ignorance in this area demonstrated. The anti-Sound card group seems to be gravitating towards a separate headphone amplifier, and I"ve seen them from the $20 dollar model included free with another headset I purchased, to the $1800 tube amps. I think I would like to either go this route, or purchase a home stereo receiver that can output the PC sound, thus having both satisfactory amplification for low-volume music listening( or ear-bleeding levels, if desired) and the ability to power speakers elsewhere. I guess what I'm asking is for some entry-level priced PC headphone amplifiers to start off with. I see countless rating comments for the FiiO series, and while the prices are certainly attractive, the fact that they're so low-priced also makes me leery of their actual amplification abilities while staying neutral in tone.

I loaded RC 7100 as soon as I got the machine and after going through this forum I am sorta left with the impression that SB cards don't work with Win 7. Is that really the case?
I was looking at an "Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card" but if it will just cause me grief it's not worth it. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can get and not pull my hair out trying to get it to work? The main game I play sounds sorta mediocre with the on-board sound.

normally i only have 1 sound card/sound device in sound settings when i use hdmi with my tv, i have 2 sound devices in there, and i can choose 1 one of them as default, and all applications i run will play sound on that default device, so i choose hdmi (my tv) as default, open chrome for my mom watch movies, sound play on my tv (hdmi), that's what i want and i open firefox, go to Internet, sound also play on my tv (hdmi), that's not what i want, i want it (firefox) to play sound on my pc, so my mom can watch movies on tv, and i can watch Internet on pc
is there a way to do this? a way to set per-application sound card/sound device setting? i know some programs like windows media player or vlc can let you choose sound card, but firefox, chrome do not. i tried indievolume and it did not work, even uninstalled, reinstalled but did not work, or is there any browser that let me choose sound card setting (like wmp and vlc, but these 2 are not browser)
and does anyone know if mac or windows 8 has this feature as built-in? if windows 8 does then i might upgrade
I removed my emu 0404 soundcard after problems (it's known to have problems with Windows 7).
My sound (with onboard) was working before installing the Emu.

I fly MS FSX and I want to be able to chat to ATC with my headphones and then hear the engine noises coming out of my speakers and sub-woofer.
I have a sound-card and my motherboard has on-board sound. I can't find the bios setting to turn it on and I can't see any hint of it anywhere on the computer. Can someone help me get the on board sound going? My computer is homebuilt, I recently installed Windows 7 pro 64bit.
I installed a driver for my sound card, only to find out that sound just wouldn't play on my laptop. (It says that the sound is playing, it's just that it isn't coming through the speakers.) I know that the drivers are updated, so if you're going to ask if my driver is updated, the answer to that is yes. At first, I had thought that it was only a problem with the driver, or the hard drive, but that's not it... I don't know what the problem is. I've tried looking for solutions online, but absolutely nothing worked.I don't want to be stuck with the generic "High Definition Audio Device" which will just mute the speakers at the most random times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is probably just a stop gap but I was finally able to get my old Creative Audigy 2 card to work with 5.1 surround by using Audigy 4 drivers for Windows 7. I haven't been able to adjust bass and treble yet but I've been too busy just enjoying the music to get around to looking for ways to make that happen. Music sounds better than it ever did in XP or Vista!
It may not be a complete fix but at least it'll get you some sound until they come up with driver for those of us with older sound cards. Be patient as it takes a while for the complete install!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just completed a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit (x86) after formatting my computer, which was previously running Windows XP Professional SP3. Everything during the install went smoothly, but now I'm trying to install my graphics card drivers and it's not working. Before I go further, here are my system 'specs':OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit Mobo: ASUS M2A-VM (Green) Graphics Card: nVidia 9800 GT CPU: AMD Athlon 5400+ The first driver I attempted to install was my motherboard driver. I used the CD that came with the mobo, but the drivers were not compatible with Windows 7 so I had to run the driver under compatibility mode for Windows Vista in order to open the setup, then I installed those drivers. I then restarted and attempted to install my graphics card drivers off the CD that came with my 9800 GT. The first set of drivers that it installed were the PhysX drivers and those installed just fine. It then attempted to install the actually graphics card drivers, but then it said "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." I opened up dxdiag and checked under the display tab and it's not showing any hardware under that tab, as if I have no graphics card. I then tried installing the Windows 7 32 Bit drivers that I downloaded from the nVidia site for the 9800 GT but when it does the system compatibility check, and error occurs that says "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue, the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I then checked in the device manager under the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' section and only Realtek High Definition Audio is there. I have also installed the drivers for my motherboard found on the ASUS website after selecting the Windows 7 OS. I downloaded and installed the driver under the 'Chipset' section titled 'AMD Chipset Driver V1.3.0.49 for Windows 7 32bit/64bit--(WHQL).'Basically, my computer is not even detecting that I have a graphics card yet my monitor is plugged into the DVI port on my graphics card, and my graphics card is on. Does anyone know what's going on? Better yet, does anyone know where I could find drivers that will work and make my system functional?EDIT: If anyone requires any further information in order to help me with my problem, just let me know and I will get it asap.EDIT2: I just looked in my device manager and I noticed that under the 'system devices' section there is a device with a exclamation point in a yellow triangle called 'PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge'. There is another one with the same name that doesn't have the symbol. Could this perhaps be part of the problem? The error for this device is 'This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.' I have a feeling this is the problem. I went into my bios and enabled the "Plug and Play OS" but when I did that it made my computer run INSANELY loud. So I turned it off.

I did an upgrade install of Windows 7 64 bit over ultimate 64. Driver is recognized as WDDM 1.1 in device Manager. Performance scan shows as it is properly installed. However not able to get areo or advanced display options. I can not install? correct driver. I have a performance rating of 5.9 because of hard drives video is higher. Help it is an agp card. What am I missing.
View 1 Replies View Relatedhave been having a problem since the time i switched over to win 7 64 bit from XP 32 bit..Got the win 7 7264 (64 bit) setup on my comp. tried installing the latest driver downloaded from Nvidia , 190.38 for my GTX 260 (Palit), but for some reason the installation doesnt proceed. have been facing the same problem with Vista and XP (both 64 bit) now..
the installation progress bar reaches around 30% and d monitor restarts and then the bar is still at d same position it earlier was and doesn move. have tried a few other drivers like 182.50 but for some reason none of these drivers gets installed..
the only breakthrough i had was when i installed it in win XP 64 bit when it started popping up the driver signature error..i believe the same issue is happening in Win 7 and Vista too but not sure.
Okay so i have an older Wireless PCI Card from like 5 years ago, I didnt have an antenna for it so i didnt use it, I recently came across the antenna and put the card in my PC, The "Ethernet Controller" says it doesnt have the drivers, and windows wont find it on its own. So i have gone to the website and downloaded the driver and software, it all tells me there are several missing .dll files.
So i downloaded them virus scanned them etc. and still no progress on getting the card installed. I dont know where the CD for it is and i doubt the CD would even work for windows 7. Can anyone help me out with this prob? Its a Wireless-B PCI Adapter 2.4GHz Model No. BB720C808230
