i seem to have a prob bu:t in sure 1 of u have a answer.i have a cell zte n762. With internet.i connlect and can create hot spot.i get the net via wifi on my pc and LG cell.however my laptop ((up g4 windows 7 conecTed but can't open any web pages.but laptop works perfectly on wifi at coffee shop.
View 3 Repliesi have a netbook with win 7 starter edition. i connected via usb to my android 2.2 phone. when i switched on usb tether on the phone, the netbook connected but didnt allow internet access. i'm quite sure this is a win7 setting issue, not android coz i have tethered the same phone to another xp laptop with no problems.

I now have Windows 7 /64bit and cannot connect.The Bluetooth pairing is fine, but i cannot get to the data connect.I never did and don't want to use the DUN connect.I also have a friend that does connect with windows 7, but he has 32bit?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking to connect to a wireless network that does not have an internet connection and at the same time tether to my iPhone so I can connect to the internet.My iPhone tethers through Bluetooth without any issue and I have a connection to the internet.As soon as I join a wireless network, Windows drops the internet connection to my iPhone. The iPhone and Windows are still connected to each other through Bluetooth, but under the task bar icon it says "No Internet Access" below the Network name.The task bar icon also changes from the ethernet Icon to the wifi strength icon.It seems like the wifi connection is overriding the bluetooth connection. Is there a way to maintain the IP address and Bluetooth internet connection and at the same time connect to the wifi network and access the devices I need on the wifi network?

It comes with XP SP3 but I am so hooked on Win 7 that would be my preference....
It should install without too many dramas but I was hoping someone out there might have some experience with similar spec machines regarding drivers etc.
I was going to go for a 10 inch netbook but at A$280 for the IBM and I know where they came from initially it is hard to justify A$650 plus for a smaller rig.
I currently have integrated graphics in my laptop, is there anyway to improve this? Possibly by adding a proper graphics card, does my laptop have a spare PCI- (E) slot or not??? My laptop is a Packard Bell Easynote LJ71, the 1TB HDD version.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Laptop with a dead screen by running an external monitor from vga port. I am trying to duplicate this monitor on Sony HD tv using an USB adapter to HDMI. On the first go around I got my desktop ...minus any task bars or icons. on the Sony plus sound but could not get the complete desktop to display. (I am thinking now this might have been resolution trouble and my icons were just out sight) Videos play fine on vga monitor but see just windows logo on Sony.
When I go to display settings I see "1/2 multimonitors" and it shows the Sony as 3. That is when I get lost. If I click on identify it shows a giant " 1" and "2" on my vga monitor. at the same time. Then my choices are duplicate, extend, and show desktop. Which should I use.? I am not sure if my vga monitor is 1 or 2.
There is also a "connect to projector". I messed around there and killed the vga monitor (my only one) Had to restore in safe mode to get back to normal vga output.
It seems to work great on safe mode.. but when I boot it up normally, it works great for the first 4 minutes and then after that it just completely freezes, no mouse movement or anything. Things Ive tried: Virus scan - clean chkdsk c: /f - didint help solve problem Closed some start up programs - didnt work either
Acer aspire one D250 running Windows 7
Last night I got on my laptop and it was working fine once it was done doing system and windows 7 updates. It restarted itself after 5 minutes of it being on, then did it again after another 5 minutes. Now, I am just getting the beginning Toshiba Satellite screen, a black blank screen with a blinking cursor then it shuts off. It keeps repeating this process untill you hold the power button to turn it off. I have tried changing the setup back to default settings and did a HDD/SSD recovery and nothing is helping. I need this computer. It's for school and it is essential to my college courses
