Oh and is it appropriate for me to use this topic to ask another question regarding explorer.exe as while i am inside a folder i delete (by choosing delete from the context menu in the tree view) while inside that folder on this particular laptop PC explorer. always crashes, collect information, sends it and restarts explorer. I have not experienced this problem on any other pc running any version of windows 7, oh and the same happened with build 7264 x32 and the current install of build 7600 x64.
Have recently purchased a small usb inspection snake camera with led light and when testing it plugged it into two desktops computers (one xp pro not sure of the other as it was a network work computer) It automatically loaded the drivers and brought up a screen automatically with the realtime image.(no driver disc came with it). However plugging into my windows 7 64bit sony laptop it signals a connection beep, loaded drivers automatically but wouldn't open or show up on my computer disc manager as an external usb source to click on. It does however show up on device manager as a usb camera and when I unplug and replug in it disappears and reappears so I know I have the right camera (not the lap top webcam inbuilt one that shows USB 2 Camera). Have tried updating drivers automatically and uninstalling it etc. Need it to work on the lap top so it can act as the movable screen for it?

When I disable the network controller in Device Manager, the controller is disabled but nothing changes in Device Manager to identify the device as being disabled. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have installed Windows 7 on my MSI Wind Netbook using a new Seagate 320gb sata drive and every time I power on, Windows Boot Manager loads and I have to select Windows 7 as the OS even though it's the only OS that has been installed. The first time I installed I let Windows 7 create the partitions but I thought that might have been the problem because of the 100mb system drive it created so I deleted everything, made 2 partitions and installed Windows 7 on the active partition but still it boots into Boot Manager. I've been into msconfig and Windows 7 is the only OS and there is no delay set but still it persists. I've also tried EasyBCD but it made no difference either. The ONLY time it doesn't boot to Boot Manager is if I have the external USB DVD drive connected with the Windows 7 disk inserted... then it says press any key to boot from CD/DVD which I ignore and Windows 7 loads normally.

I notice that this past days when i connect my N6120c phone via bluetooth, my laptop didn't have any reaction, when i see my system tray no bluetooth icon was presented, previously there it is. So i manually run the bluetooth through BTTray.exe from CProgram FilesWIDCOMMBluetooth Software, but my laptop didn't react to it. So i look at the device manager and there was no trace of bluetooth, previously there was a Peripheral Bluetooth. So i manually re-install the driver and then its stuck on this page, Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch, on the lower right it say Cancel Installation.

My synaptics pointing device has disappeared from my computer. The mouse would appear on the screen but with no movement. Had to enable a usb mouse.
I've had the mouse disabled before, I would go into Device manager to re-enable. Now it isn't even showing up in Device Manager. There wasn't an option for 'mouse or pointing device' until I installed the usb mouse.
I recently installed new software (2 weeks ago) with no problems, until now. I am using a HP Pavilion g w/ Windows 7. I've tried reinstalling the software, but the computer just won't recognize the device.
I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32-bit
I'm making a test equipment to test a USB device that uses a FTDI-chip (232R). This FTDI-chip has a S/N a Vendor ID (VID) and a Product ID (PID) along with many other settings.
My problem is: 1. I get a new USB device (not flashed in anyway) from the manufacturer, insert it into a USB port on the computer and windows install the standard device drivers included with this device (these are the same for every device) and no windows reboot message is visible.
2. Now I set the S/N, VID, PID to something I like, then I have to remove the USB device to set the settings. When I insert the device again Windows install the device drivers once again, but this time it prompts me with the message "Restart Now or Restart Later". I press "Restart Later" and the device works fine anyway... BUT Can I somehow get rid of this message?

For a while now, I've had problems with USB devices, but today I was looking online and someone mentioned a solution to a problem I was having, saying to look in Device Manager under the Ports tree.My Ports tree in DM is gone, but I also don't know how to access my COM3 port or other ports any other way. Should the Ports tree be there? I've already restarted my computer and entered the BIOS menu, and it said my USB Ports were enabled.I've already been to the Registry Editor in Blah-Blah key and entered "3" (was already that way).My ports are just gone. What should I do?
I had a problem with the computer after a storm it turns to not have internet. After I checked and saw I could'n connect to internet through the modem with a broadband connection. Than checked Device Manager and there was not a network controller and everything was in order no question marks or yellow rectangles. Than tried to re install windows 7. After I tried to install the realtek driver for me LAN it show up the message The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found.
