Bad Pool Caller Loop - Windows Developer Preview
Apr 7, 2012i've seem to have problems with my pc since this morning. I keep getting bsod, (Bad loop caller). Even when i restart i still get his error. Even when i go to safe mode i still get this error.

I have enabled the "Develop" menu option, but none of the tools display.I added the "Web Inspector" button to my toolbar, but the "Web Inspector" does not display.If I right-click on a page element and choose "Inspect Element" nothing happens.I have uninstalled, and reinstalled Safari and rebooted yet none of the developer tools will display.I checked and Javascript is enabled and popups are allowed.

Jan 28, 2012I am a Developer/Tester and have just begun setting up my new laptop (its a high-spec gaming laptop).I am paranoid about viruses and worried about my machine getting to cluttered with unused software, so I was planning on setting up/using my PC as follows:
-One 'Admin' account This will pretty much be untouched.
-One 'Standard' User account this will be my main account that I log in to everyday
-Virtual Machines
*I will install Virtual Box on the Standard User Account.
*I will use a VM for random surfing, I would like to do this from a VM to reduce the risk of being affected from a virus.
This VM will probably be a linux flavour (e.g ubuntu).
*I wil have a seperate VM that I use just for online banking and checking email - also probably be a linux flavour.
*I will have different Virtual machines for different projects Im working on, because I like to keep my environments seperate. I can also install and play with new software and then revert back to a snapshot when I'm done. These will be mainly Windows VMs.This is my first high-spec machine where I can comfortable run several VMs.

1. It cannot do debug run. Message said 'cannot find .DLL, re-install DVF'
2. It cannot generate a new workspace anymore. Message said 'cannot find directory'
Preview .mov, .wav, And Other Files In The Preview Pane?
Oct 10, 2012I do a great deal of video editing and special effects on my Windows 7 (home premium, 64bit) laptop. Many of the stock footage clips I use are .mov files and a lot of the sound files I use are .wav and .mp3. Unfortunately, these files do not preview (They don't play) in the preview pane in Windows Explorer. .mp4 videos do preview, but I have not tested anything else. All of the above mention files play just fine in the standalone WMP. Do I need to download extra codecs to make them work in the preview pane?

Dec 13, 2011My computer is installed with a legal copy of MS Windows 7, SP 1. My hardware is an AMD Phenom II 3.30 GHz with 8 GB RAM and I am installing to a 10 GB partition. I am currently attempting to install from the Administrator account, though I have also made the attempt from a user account.I have the file jdk-6u24-windows-x64.exe that I activate. This gives me the Windows prompt "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" When I select "Yes," the screen immediately goes back to viewing the folder and nothing else happens.I just now used Revo to uninstall everything remotely related to Java from my list of installed software. This has not had any affect on my Java installation efforts, though I did get a notice that I would no longer receive a prompt for automatic updates to Java (those never worked, anyway).I built this computer at the beginning of this year, but I have never been able to install a Java compiler to it. I need this to work because I am struggling to pass Java classes that are required for me to graduate with an AS degree in Computer Science.

Feb 27, 2011I installed Windows 7 a few months ago. I started having problems soon after. So I reinstalled Win 7, Friday. The same problems continued. One that my son found was when we installed Spy Sweeper. That made it impossible to switch between users, so we uninstalled it. The other major problem has been the Developer's Tools window that pops up when I try to type any reply or information into any program on the internet. I can't get rid of it by hitting the X. After about an hour on the computer, that stops. Does anyone have an idea on what could cause this?

I had previously had Foxit installed. I had to run a repair install of Adobe Reader (Control Panel>Programs and Features>Adobe Reader 9.2>Change>Repair
Then apply this registry fix and voila!
I would like to have Foxit and Adobe Reader installed, so not sure how to make Foxit the default reader but still maintain preview in Windows Explorer.

By default, it takes about 1.5 seconds for the window to close after moving the mouse off of the icon or preview pane.Turning off taskbar animations in the "visual effects" does not shorten the time. It just takes away the animation, but, it still takes about 1.5 seconds for the preview to go away.
