View 1 RepliesMy hard disk space is decreasing rapidly, about 150mb/sec. When I restart my PC it resets back to normal and starts decreasing again. Once it reaches zero, I can work any programs and browse the internet. It will happen in about 10-15 minutes again, maybe less. What do I do?

View 1 Replies View Relatedrecently i made a few videos with fraps that took up around 110 gigs of space, so i decided to compress all that and upload to Internet, the amount of space the videos are taking up are now down to 70, but my free disk space hasn't increased, in fact it's decreasing as if i never deleted the videos, it isn't decreasing on it's own only if i make files, so basically it'll take up space and it just stays that way for some reason.i've looked around the internet for a solution, i have tried:disabling automatic backup, that didn't do anything. scanned my computer with malwarebytes to make sure it isn't some worm, nothing found. used disk cleanup, cleared up 900 mb but the free space still didn't change. used ccleaner, cleared up 500 mb but the free space still didn't change. used disk check, nothing bad was found. used windirstat, everything seems fine as it should be, but theres 100 gigs of <unknown>, and i have no freaking clue what it is. used spacesniffer, found absolutely nothing that would take up that much space,i would use defraggler, but it will take way too long so i'd use it when i have no other option, there's gotta be another way other than literally waiting over a day for defraggler to finish, and chances are that it wouldn't change anything as well meaning i would have wasted a bunch of time,
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis just popped up today and the only thing I can think that I had done since not seeing it was activated AHCI. As can be seen in the attached snip there is a very small partition to the left of the "SSD Common" logical partition. It is bounded by the same green box as the "SSD Common" partition. Hovering over it provides details of it being Free Space 1Mb in size. Right clicking on it provides a menu with everything greyed out except for HELP which simply opens the Disk Management user guide. Should add that both the "SSD General" & "SSD Trade" are Windows 7 bootable partitions with AHCI activated.

After deleting approx 25 restore points and I've deleted down to 2 currently (new ones) and the only way I could get them to go was with CCleaner, My disk now shows only 4.2 free of the setting of 10.6GB. My computer keeps saying it is running out of room on C drive. I don't feel like I have that much stuff on my computer. And I feel like seeing as it is a relatively new computer I shouldn't be having this problem. is there an easier way to clean out my computer then to go through every file, every picture, every song to decided if I should delete it or not?
I'm using IE 9 and I am trying to set my "disk space to use" to 50. Every time I close the browser and re-open it it reverts back to 250.
View 8 Replies View RelatedGoal: I do not want my computer thinking that there is a Local Disk (I).
Here is a screenshot of my computer
Disks C and D are HARD DRIVE 1
Disk E is HARD DRIVE 2
Disk H is HARD DRIVE 3
Disk I is THE DISK I WANT TO REMOVE and it stems from HARD DRIVE 3
HARD DRIVE 3 = 80GB
I am running on Windows 7 professional, 64but version
"Disk I" was created probably because I installed Windows XP on it a while back (at the time, there was no H partition). After removing it, I could not boot back into my windows 7 because of some missing file. I am assuming that it was looking for a file created by windows XP. So what I did was I unplugged hard drive 3 from my computer, and things were smooth. When I booted back into Windows 7, Local Disk I appeared and I just could not get rid of it. I tried formatting it, but obviously, a dialog box appeared saying windows could not format it (probably because its unplugged). In the windows disk management utility, Drive I did not even appear.
NOW....I plugged that hard drive back in. I deleted the entire partition, so HARD DRIVE 3 turned into unallocated space. I created partition H so I could use for storage, leaving about 20 gigabytes free for an operating system I would like to try out. Disk Management utility shows hard drive 3, with 55GB partition and 20GB unallocated space. Local Disk I is still not represented the disk management utility, but it is still there in My Computer (screenshot above)
