What Is The Difference Between Local Disk C And Local Disk D
Feb 3, 2013What is the difference between local disk C and local disk D? I have about 4 GB space left in C and D is empty. Is there any advantage in putting a system image on D? Are both C and D contained in the hard drive, and if the hard drive goes bad you lose it all anyway?

Local Area Connection Missing?
May 11, 2012Okay, so a long time ago i tried to use my laptop to connect to xbox live using my wireless internet. It said in the guide that after bridging and all that, i wont be able to use the port for connecting to the internet with an ethernet cable. Well, i was stupid and decided to do it, and can't find a fix for it anywhere. The Local Area Connection is completely missing and when i connect an ethernet cable to the port, nothing happens. I wont go into details, but now i need to use an ethernet cable instead of wireless to connect to my internet, and my port doesnt work and I cant find the Local Area Connection. here's an image so I dont get spammed with people asking me to give them full system scan info.

Aug 31, 2012I am running Windows 7 ultimate 32bit service pack 1 on an HP Pav. I use the latest Chrome Browser.
I run that normally (no virtual machine) Recently Copy/Paste function from the right-click context menu suddenly stopped working in ANY program, browser, circumstance.
I cannot even get the keyboard shortcuts to work for copy/paste (Control/C Control/V). Tried a few things; updated Java, ran windows update, etc.
Then I checked to see if the clipbook was started in Local services. To my utter surprize its GONE!
No clipbook would explain my problem without a doubt. What can I do about it? Can I download the file somewhere or will it take a restore or repair?
Local App Data Credentials Folders Missing
Sep 15, 2011I screwed up today. While meaning to delete files from AppDataLocalTemp, I accidentally deleted (many) from AppData. [Sidebar: Is there any way to configure the file explorer such that deleting from the folder view is disabled?] After a brief panic, I downloaded (from another machine) the utility Recuva64 and restored the missing files to a separate drive, after which I copied them back to where they belong.
But, there was a problem - I could not copy files from the recovered folder Credentials to LocalAppDataCredentials. Even stranger, I did not have permission to view the security credentials of LocalAppDataCredentials. I tried booting to safe mode to fix this, but both folders were gone - the recovered one as well as LocalAppDataCredentials.
So, my system is up and running, but the folder LocalAppDataCredentials is missing. I tried using Recuva64 again, but it did not find the folder. I also looked in an older backup of my profile, but again, I did not see the folder. The folder does, whoever, exist on my notebook (but whose to say if the information is consistent).

Here is a screenshot of my computer
Disks C and D are HARD DRIVE 1
Disk E is HARD DRIVE 2
Disk H is HARD DRIVE 3
Disk I is THE DISK I WANT TO REMOVE and it stems from HARD DRIVE 3
HARD DRIVE 3 = 80GB
I am running on Windows 7 professional, 64but version
"Disk I" was created probably because I installed Windows XP on it a while back (at the time, there was no H partition). After removing it, I could not boot back into my windows 7 because of some missing file. I am assuming that it was looking for a file created by windows XP. So what I did was I unplugged hard drive 3 from my computer, and things were smooth. When I booted back into Windows 7, Local Disk I appeared and I just could not get rid of it. I tried formatting it, but obviously, a dialog box appeared saying windows could not format it (probably because its unplugged). In the windows disk management utility, Drive I did not even appear.
NOW....I plugged that hard drive back in. I deleted the entire partition, so HARD DRIVE 3 turned into unallocated space. I created partition H so I could use for storage, leaving about 20 gigabytes free for an operating system I would like to try out. Disk Management utility shows hard drive 3, with 55GB partition and 20GB unallocated space. Local Disk I is still not represented the disk management utility, but it is still there in My Computer (screenshot above)
