Dec 1, 2011A few days ago I removed a virus from my computer and after some work I thought I had restored the computer back to normal. Everything seems to be running fine but now everytime I start my computer there are about 20 windows that open up. Almost seems like it is a brand new computer. Some of them are windows programs that are starting i.e. fax/scan etc that have never opened before as well as about 15 windows that open folders that say: windows-startmenu-programs-startup-then a myriad of various HP, lightscribe, games etc. It appears it is opening every file. How do I keep them from opening like before.

Oct 16, 2011my computer started freezing on on the windows loading screen, so i had to turn my computer off again, wait a few seconds and start it agin, it then worked on the second time. i couldnt get into any kind of safemode.when i got into windows i had loads of generic win32 errors, i couldnt acess the internet or any anti spy/virus programs. i shut it down and it hangs so i have to manually swith it off.i was on xp so i thought i would format my computer and install windows 7. This has helped with all the win32 errors but my computer still freezes on start up at the windows loading screen and still requires me to swith it off and restart it, this works most of the time. might have to do this 2 or 3 times.i have looked in the events viewer and it says i have 3 errors: error 6 kernel process power / restart manager.

Jan 23, 2012i had windows 7 home premium and i had to formatt the HDD because was a problem with the windows installation, could not do recover because got into a eternal loop the system and had to use a version that friend of mine lean to me of windows 7 i do not erased the recover partition and i wish have access to this partition to get my windows version or try of install it from there again and have my own windows copy, how could i get access or unlock the recover partition and get the files and install windows from there.

Computer Has Started To Freeze At Random Times?
Jul 23, 2011I was wondering if you could help me out with a problem I have experienced recently. Since a week ago, my computer has started to freeze at random times, which would lead to some random applications closing such as chrome or microsoft security control. I can still use my mouse and such, but the computer would be completely unresponsive. I have tried to do clean installs, with vista, and the problem still persists. I then used windows 7 to do a clean install and the problem still occurs. And at almost every startup the CHKDSK runs. I tried updating my graphics card, and still nothing has happened.

Feb 23, 2012Recently my computer's hard drives started clicking, both of them. I wasn't able to copy off my files or boot up as it would constantly freeze. So in order to save my data I bought a sata to usb cable to connect to my laptop to copy off the data. When I connected it I was able to save all my data and the hard drive didn't freeze one bit...a friend of mine suggested that it wasn't the hard drive but in fact the power supply that was causing it. Could it really be that or is my HD really dying or is it something else?

Oct 21, 2011I have a small home network set up with 4 PCs (1 laptop & 3 desktop). I can see all my computers in my networks but I cannot connect to one of my desktops using my laptop. All the other computers/laptops can read and transfer files without a problem except for the laptop connecting to one of the PCs.
Both the laptop and the PC that is asking for a network password are on the same version of Windows 7 Home. I have file and printer sharing enabled. All are on the same workgroup. I have firewall off and I have turned off password protected sharing yet when I try to connect or print from my laptop to the one PC it asks for a password and I can't figure out why.
This only started recently a week ago. Prior to that never had this problem and shared files/printer without a problem
