Installation Package Could Not Be Found

Jun 1, 2012

I am getting this <<This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package>> Yesterday I clean uninstalled my photo editing programs, Photplus X4 and PanoramaPlus, which are similar to Adobe Elements. The reason was that certain pics would not display, although displayed elsewhere. This morning my attempts to reinstall from the manufacturer's DVD Rom were unsuccessful with the above error.

No Valid Installation Package Is Found In This Folder

Dec 15, 2011

I am running windows 7 sp1 and downloaded the german language service pack.but i can t install it and at the end of the progress it fails, with out mentioning the reason or giving an error.I didn t do that from windows update because i wanted to have the installation file for the future, after reinstalling windows.By the way, i have enough free space on windows drive, have downloaded the same 32- bit as the system, and the installation file doesn t seen to be corrupted.I also try to install it, instead of double-clicking- by going to region and language sections and install from there, but in browse window i can t give the installion file to it and it says that : no valid installation package is founded in this folder.

XP Mode Installation Errors - Verify That Package Exist And Accessible

Jul 6, 2010

I am having trouble installing Windows XP Mode on a Dell E4300 laptop with Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. For the record, I have installed XPM on multiple occasions without any issues at all, until now. Upon launching the XP Mode installer, it starts to deploy the temporary files but hangs at expanding 'sourcesxpm'. Then I get the following error: 'This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package'.

If I try multiple times, I am sometimes able to get beyond that point where the XP Mode setup screen shows up, but then I receive an error during the installation process that says: 'Source file not found: D:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxsourcesXPM. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it'. I've checked everything I could with no avail permissions, Hardware Virtualization. I also installed it on an identical machine with the same setup. Then I got a hunch that the Windows Installer might have been corrupted. So I ran the command to un-install it (msiexec /uninstall) & got the same error message as above.

Multi Language Support In Win 7

Dec 16, 2009

I'm planning to buy a new PC with Windows 7 (English) and not sure what version I should buy. I need to be able to switch into Japanese language mode for writing Word documents and composing/reading email sometimes. I do not need the desktop, menus etc. to be displayed in Japanese, however. I've found some info on the Internet and MS web site but still confused:

1) I have read that LIPs can be installed on any version of Win 7 but looks like Japanese must be installed as a full install (no parent language). If this is the case, can I setup 2 user accounts and configure one for English and the other for Japanese?

2) Do I need to have Win 7 Ultimate or Enterprise edition to do what I want to do?

Notepad Multiple Language Support On Windows 7

Nov 2, 2012

I'm currently using English, Japanese and Hebrew on my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. The problem I'm having is that Notepad seems to be the only program giving me trouble with using both languages. I always have to change System Locale which is obviously not a reasonable solution. When System Locale is set to "Hebrew" I get Japanese characters as squares. When System Locale is set to "Japanese" I get Hebrew characters as a combination of Japanese characters and gibberish...

Foreign Language Support In Windows 7 Home Premium

Oct 1, 2012

After a great deal of investigating online (that's how I found this sweet website!) I was able to confirm that Windows 7 Home Premium does not have advanced language supports.

That being said, it is still possible to display foreign languages on your computer, you just have to know how to activate them. My issue started when I could not view the text for my international music.

1. Click on your "Start" icon and and type "Region and Languages" into the search bar
2. After clicking, look for the "Keyboard and Languages" tab and click
3. Click on the "Change Keyboards" button
4. Under the "General" tab, look below to the box entitled "Installed Services"
5. It will have your primary language listed, in my case English
6. To the right of the "Installed Services" box, click the "Add" button
7. Scroll through the list and open the drop box, and then click on "Keyboard"
8. Select the language you desire, in my case "Japanese" and "Russian"
9. Then click "Ok" to add it, then "Ok" to close the "Keyboard and Languages" and the "Region and Languages" boxes
10. Open up your media player, and you should be able to see the text properly displayed

Network Share Error: Specified Authentication Package Is Unk

Mar 6, 2009

I am able to connect from XP to a network share at my workplace by giving login/password. However, when I try to connect from Windows 7 i get the error: "specified authentication package is unknown"

However, I am able to connect to another shares. From XP no one is having any problems in connecting to this share at all. Have googled but to no avail. Found one suggestion to add 'authentication packages' key to registry but it was already present in my Win 7 and with the correct value.

Any help would be appreciated as I am at my wits end with this issue. Win 7 is working flawlessly otherwise. Much much better than XP. Vista was pretty much unusable on my laptop (HP TC 4400 tabletpc)

Click EN icon on desk top taskbar and all language icons displayed and selectable. OPne day the EN icon disappeared and languages had to be reselected. English default still works but EN icon not present when no other languages available. I went to keyboard change in control panel and reselected all the languages previously accessible. However, the icons will not appear on the desktop taskbar and the languages while displayed in the control panel, those icons can not be used to gain access to the languages they represent.

How Does "display Language" And "system Language" Differ

Mar 19, 2011

I am about to purchase an asus laptop in Germany (with Windows 7 HP on). Now I know I can't change the system language (need windows ultimate for that) but I believe on Asus computers you can select English as the display language on the initial install (so each shop is telling me) and so i have read (which i don't really understand as why can you do this on ASus laptops only - surely windows is windows? ie you can or you can't!).

If this is true i was wondering just what will be changed into English (i.e. what exactly is the display language)? I gather the majority of menus etc will be in English, but what about if my laptop goes wrong and I have to start digging a bit deeper? Does anyone know if all the settings menus change so i'll be able toedit the registry if need be (just an example!).

Can Para-grade The System Language

Mar 19, 2011

I need to get a netbook for my fiancee, who's not actually my fiancee, but my promitida (Spanish). Unfortunately, it's not easy to get such a thing in this country that has neither English nor French on it. I'd rather not buy a device, pay for the Windows on there, and then pay again for the Spanish one. Is it possible to paragrade the language from, say, English to Spanish?don't say Windows 7 Ultimate, because that's hardly cost-effective. I just need to change the system language, not support multiple languages.how to get a netbook with Spanish Windows on it (including a Spanish keyboard) in this country (Canada), that'd be great!
