I'm getting desperate. I have tried the Windows Catalog, tons of Google searches and downloaded all the drivers I can find at the Hauppauge site including the 850 drivers.
Installation CD Version 4.8A with WinTV version 6
WinTV-HVR-950Q driver update: 72drv_27078
WinTV v7 version 1.1E and a couple of more for the 850.
I have tried installing in compatibility mode. I have run the Hauppauge driver cleaner several times. I have uninstalled and each time Windows auto updates the drivers even though I have told it not to under Device Installation settings.
Running 7100 RC, x386. Windows sees the devices and tells me the driver software is up to date. Still have the darn yellow triangles!

Cannot Find Drivers For Hauppauge
Feb 1, 2013I have windows 7 and just cannot find drivers for my Hauppauge 64405 LF REV C1 IMPACTVCB despite visiting the Hauppauge website/s, seems there are only drivers for up to win 2000?? Can you help? I need to transfer old VHS to disk.

Nov 7, 2009I recently acquired a hauppauge wintv-hvr-1800 card and proceeded to install it in my computer. windows sees it and its in device manager and all drivers are up to date...but when i try watching tv through beyondtv, it says theres no card installed....another problem i have is that when i try using windows media center for tv, it wont let me move past the part where i plug in a dongle for a remote....is a remote absolutely necessary to use wmc??

Aug 24, 2012I bought a brand new 2250 card with remote and the remote does't work. I plugged in the IR sensor to the TV tuner and put new batteries in the remote and the light flashes on the remote when I press a button but the tuner is non responsive to it. I tried using it in both Wintv 7 and Windows Media Center. I've spent about 10 hours doing everything possible and even bought a new cable, but nothing.
When I click a button on the remote should the receiver flash red? because I am not getting any red flashes on the receiver, but when I restart the IR blaster does light up red for about 5 seconds.

So my techie guy is downloading an English version (pirate???) and at same time buying a genuine Spanish version. Sep 1, 2010I need to know if I can use a clean install disk for Windows 7 Ultimate to upgrade from Vista or if I have to use an Upgrade version?
I'm leaning towards buying the clean install disk so that if I should loose the hard drive at some future point I could just clean install Win 7 Ultimate from the disk without having to first install Vista and then upgrade.
Regardless of which type I purchase, am I better off to buy the OEM disk from the machine manufacturer (Toshiba) or just purchase any OEM disk? Of course, if I want Microsoft support then I need to purchase retail disks.

I'm getting the following error - "The version of this file is not compatible with the the version of windows you're running." I've installed all of these specific applications (e.g. RealPlayer, Logmein, Windows 2007 Compatibility Pck File Format Converter) and many other 32-bit apps on other Windows 7 64-bit machines, including 2 other Lenovo laptops with the exact same specs, purchased at the same time, with absolutely no issue.

May 4, 2011I was stupid enough to purchase a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate full version for my computer from someone on Craigslist. This copy was brand new and sealed. I thought it was legit. I completed wiped my computer clean and installed the software. Everything went fine - until after about a month I started getting this message saying "Must Activate Computer." After talking to Microsoft, this software was legit, but it is something called a developer's copy and it blocked my activation code because I wasn't using certain features because I wasn't supposed to have a copy like this. Of course I tried contacting the person - who is now ignoring all my e-mails. In any event...I want to go purchase a legit version from a store but am not sure what I need. I can currently use my computer, but it is operating illegally from the Windows 7 Ultimate that was installed. I do not need ultimate...home premium is fine.
1) Do I need an upgrade version or a full version?
2) What can I do with this developer's copy of Ultimate? Can I sell it anywhere to someone who is allowed to use it? I"d like to get something for it to help pay for the new one.

My university store also lets me buy a Windows 7 DVD for $ 43. I'm considering doing this for a possible second computer or to upgrade a laptop we have.
I want to buy the 64-bit version (since the future is 64-bit). It seems the university store either sells 64-bit or 32-bit DVDs, not one of the packages with both DVDs. Could I buy the 64-bit DVD and install one of the 32-bit bit versions with that 64-bit key (the digital river links had leaked) on the laptop for the time being? the laptop only has 32 bit processor. But it might only live for 1-2 years. then I'd get some 64-bit computer.
I'd buy the Pro-version. I don't think there is anything illegal, since I legally buy two different student discounts from different vendors. I also will use that one key only for one license at a time (and also assume once I register online MS makes sure it only works on one PC).
