View 1 Replies View RelatedSpecifically looking to convert mp3 to ac3 for use in DVDs. Would like to find software with a simple to navigate UI. Most of the ones I've found (and believe me, there are many) are trial versions with a paid version to follow. The catch is lots of these trial versions only allow for partial conversion or some type of vocal overdub (sort of like an audio watermark). I've got nothing against a paid version, but is there any reliable audio conversion software that someone could recommend using? Freeware or paid?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy computer consistently crashes while downloading a Torrent (Don't patronize me about the merits of downloading, I'm more worried about it being a hardware fault.)
My specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6750 @2.66Ghz
Asus P5E-VM HDMI mobo
6 gb Ram (2gb Patriot DDR2-6400, 4gb Ballistix DDR2-6400)

80gb Maxtor HDD (I just ordered a 1tb Seagate Constellation to replace this)
I bought this computer from a friend a week ago, it had no HDD, so I used dban to wipe the one from my old broken system. Also, this system has been in his garage for maybe two years, and I live in Washington so we've had the full spectrum of temperature.I am not getting BSOD, the system simply locks up and has stayed there for 20 minutes until a flipped the back switch on the console. If a sound was playing through the speakers when it happens, the sound stalls on the current note. I only have about 11gb of space of this HDD and it seems that it only happens when I cross the 10gb of free space line.
I bought a new computer last week, and i am connecting wirelessly to my router for internet, just like my other 3 roommates. My download speeds are in the 11-20 KB/S range while theres are in the 400-500 range! even my old low RAM computer is getting dl speeds in that range. I don't know why it is doing this, one of my roommates said he still downloads stuff on his win XP computer bc his new Win 7 comp is just as slow as mine! Is this a common problem with new computers in general? Is there an easy way to fix it, such as utilizing more priority to download speeds?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently using Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit edition and just recently whenever I am downloading anything my computer will freeze for around 2 seconds and the download connection will restart to 0.00mb/s then start to connect back up to its full speed again. This happens I'd say around every 15 minutes and has started to become very annoying as you can imagine as a large file can take hours to download when it should only take half the time.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe issue here is all my programs would freeze and I was like wth is going on? So after it happened a couple of times, I finally figured out what was going on. The system was using cpu power ranging from 20 to 50 percent and my ram was using roughly 20 to 32 percent. The weird thing about this is my computer cpu usually is around 2-5 percent and ram is around 5-12 percent when doing normal day activities.I have a vortex 120 gb and I have it updated to the latest software. My hypothesis is that there is a system defragging working in the background because I see my hard drive space going up and down. It'll go down 20gb and go back up. Sometimes goes down a lot sometimes not that much.I have three programs and I've tried closing all three.
Bitdefender-no auto defrag Iobit advance system care- I turned auto defrag off but even it the settings it's already checkmark not to defrag ssd tuneuputilites- turned off auto defrag also and same thing as earlier, there's already a checkmark to not defrag ssd
edit(forgot to mention that I turned system auto defrag off also)I ran antivirus scan and malware scan already with no luck.So here's where the big mystery comes into play. Even though there is cpu usage and ram usage when I go to windows task manager, I can't find anything that shows it's using ram and cpu even though it is.Very annoying with everything freezing. Even if I restart it still continues.

I uninstalled Trend Micro 2009, as it's the only program I have on my computer and I've deleted all (I believe) references to it, yet the upgrade won't continue, because Trend Micro 2008 is preventing it.
Is there a reference somewhere that I could check?
I had a ZT Systems I-7 920 computer that was stolen when my house was robbed. It came with a Windows 7 disk that says it can only be used with the ZT Systems computer (that was stolen). I am now building a new computer and I am wondering if I can use the Windows 7 disk from the ZT systems computer in my new computer. I paid for Windows 7 when I bought the ZT systems computer and I do not feel that I should have to buy it again.
