Pictures Missing On Websites - All Stuff Not Loading Properly
Dec 27, 2011I am having a problem on my system, when I go to a web site (don't matter what one) I cant see all of the little pics that are suppose to be there, its like half of my stuff on the screen is missing, thought it was flash player, but that's not it.

Imported Pictures Using Picasa 3 - The Pictures Became Grey Boxes?
May 23, 2011I imported my photos from my SDCard to my PC using Picasa 3, and everything was going smoothly... until I tried to take a look at the photos! all of the photos that I've imported using this method for some reason all became greyed out! Viewing them on Picasa3, all you can see is a grey rectangle, in place of the photos. However, when using the windows explorer folder, i can see that the photos were imported correctly (it's not just a grey box, but the actual photos), but when I try to open it (using any program: Paint, Picasa3, etc), it is still a grey rectangle instead of the photos. I tried to upload the image and send it via email, and I get the same result.In my mistake, I chose to "delete the uploaded photos after uploading" option..it's my vacation photos from Croatia I'm not sure if there were any errors when I imported it... i stepped out for a bit while I was waiting for it to import. I looked around my SD card, and looked at the "Lost.dir" folder, and copied all of what's in there.I did use Glarysoft to recover the images, and I'm using a Windows 7 laptop as my computer. Also, are there other alternatives? I did save the lost.dir with all of the photo files in it, both in my SD Card, and on my laptop.

Jan 1, 2012The frustration has been for more than 2 years now. I tried to move the photo folders & files from "My Pictures" to "Pictures" but Window's geniouses did not give us that option. I do not need to click to "My Pictures" since they are ALL MY pictures. So are we stuck with this decision or is there a way which I can get rid of 1 of the folders? Same with "Documents" & "Videos".

Feb 10, 2012so i recently reformated my computer. However, i cannot seem to log into newegg at all. when i enter my username and password it just goes back to the home page without logging in. For example, I can load Find a Local Business,Ratings, Reviews, Deals | Angie's List, but not https://my.angieslist.com/angieslist/login.aspx.I have switched from automatic DNS lookup to fixed DNS, but that makes no difference.the same problem is experienced with Firefox, Opera, and IE. I called Angies List and they do not have any issues ie, they were able to log into my account.

Feb 26, 2011Acer All In One computer with IE 8 and Windows 7. Some web sites load fine but others don't come up. Tried Firefox and no difference. Had similar issue with previous computer and used Windows Transfer to move evrything off that to new Acer. Seems to be getting worse. Use Qwest DSL hard connection. Can VPN to work ccomputer and bring up the web sites that won't load locally. Have tries variuos scans and nothing is found. For instance can get into US Bank site and Vanguard, but not Tax Act or Fidelity.

Dec 21, 2011Basically, an assortment of websites have trouble loading. Some times they will take a couple refreshes to load, sometimes they will load in HTML after a long time, and some don't load at all. Sometimes a website will work fine, but then not load the next day. It's starting to really piss me off, especially since it affects such websites as:
- SoundCloud
- Twitch.tv
- Justin.tv
- The Escapist
- Facebook (occasionally)
- Many more!
As far as I can tell, this all started a few months ago. My internet spontaneously stopped working. I called my ISP (TelstraClear NZ), and the operator did some troubleshooting. Eventually the problem just seemed to fix itself after I unplugged and replugged my modem; I guess it reset my connection.I have a SURFBoard modem and a Netgear wireless router.The things I've done to try fix are:
- Changing my DNS servers - many times
- Using a different OS/computer
- Using a different browser
- Pinging the servers of stuck websites. Often I can't reach them with a ping
- Turning off/unplugging my modem and router
- Plugging my modem directly into the computer
I'm at my wit's end as to what the problem is. Everything i can see suggests that this is a DNS problem - the seemingly arbitrary times websites won't work, my inability to ping them, the random assortment of affected websites. The only other thing that would make sense to me is that it is my ISP causing the problem - but only for my connection.
Some Websites Won't Load?
Feb 5, 2013I am having trouble loading certain websites in all browsers. I keep getting messages that say the connection timed out. Certain websites like google and hotmail will load. others like wikipedia will not. yahoo.com loads sometimes and not at others. I called my ISP and they say I have malware. I do not understand how they know this. I have run a scan using malwarebytes and no malicious items were detected

Feb 21, 2012I have a client that has 9 work stations hardwired and 3 laptops wireless and 1 server hard wired and none of them can connect to 2 specific websites. The workstations are running Windows 7 Pro 64bit, laptops are Windows XP Pro and the server is Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 64bit. They were all able to open the 2 sites last Friday and now they cannot. I can ping and trace rout the IP address of the 2 sites and get no loss but if I ping/trace rout the site name it will not work. I know it�s not the sites that are having the problem because I can open it on my cell phone. But when I hook up my phone to their wireless I cannot open the site. If I put a static DNS IP of their ISP on the computers then I am able to connect to the 2 sites. I called there ISP and they said something must of changed in there network but I check all there settings and nothing has changed. I have never seen this before and am at a loss of what to do.

Oct 18, 2011I have never been able to connect to Facebook since obtaining this new computer. It will either give the Internet Explorere page that says "Internet Explorer cannot display the page" or it will go to BING with Facebook as a search result option.
I have tried deleting cookies, deleting Security Essentials annd adjusting pop-ups and other security settings - nothing seems to work I have also tried it with Google Chrome - does not work - goes to BING page. Websites Not Displaying Correctly
Jan 2, 2012Certain websites such as eBay, Facebook & Hotmail are not loading correctly. Once I hit log in the page just shows as text to the left hand side of the screen. I have cleared all history, cookies & cache, I have restarted my computer, I have tried accessing them under a different windows PC user name, upgraded Mozilla, tried internet explorer, upgraded Java and made sure it was enabled.

Nov 2, 2012It got to the point where I restored my computer to factory settings. Everything worked until I used Windows Update. However, I just uninstalled them and tried and I couldn't view them this time so now I'm not sure if it really is because of Windows Update. I have yet to install an anti-virus as it was literally just yesterday I did this, so I know it's not an issue with an anti-virus. Nov 5, 2012i have a computer with windows 7 home premium and internet explorer 9 i have a user account set up that i want to block access to various web pages.in internet explorer i click on tools>internet options>security, select restricted sites and click on sites.i add [url] to my list of restricted sites.after logging off and logging on again i'm still able to access Internet.i click on tools>internet options>content and click on enable in the content advisor section.i click on the approved sites tab and add www.Internet.com and select never.after quitting ie, logging out, logging back in, i can still access Internet.

Jun 25, 2011recently bought a new Asus Laptop and am having difficulty login into some of my universities pages with the new computer (namely outlook web access and some library login pages). This happens regardless of connection type (LAN, WLAN and Mobile Broadband). I have reset IPCONFIG and other network settings and have disabled anti-virus software to no avail. So far, my universities website is the only one it is having difficulty with with other websites like facebook having no problems logging in. This happens regardless of browser also. In internet explorer, some of the images fail to load on the page (indicating the page won't fully load) and this is obviously followed by the fact that page says 'connection error' after clicking the login button and waiting around 30 seconds. It is also evident that this is not an issue on the university's side.
