I have a lot of photos on my hard drive. I would like to burn a DVD with these photos and use that DVD in a Sony DVD player hooked up to my TV. What are the steps I take to burn the DVD? So far I seem to be getting DVDs which will show up on my other computers but not be DVD player.

I ran the Microsoft FixIt application but it did not resolve the problem. Fresh install of windows 7. Brand new cdr's. Also, when I insert a blank CD, it doesn't show up in My Computer, however if I insert a CD with data on it(or music), it shows up. Also should point out I have VirtualCloneDrive installed.
I am trying to burn an *.avi file onto a dvd disk to play on the TV. I am using Windows DVD Maker and when I add the avi file then press Burn, it reports that a dvd burner can not be found. Yet there is a dvd burner on my computer loaded with a blank dvd.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded approx 200 photos direct from SD card on camera to portable hard drive. I think I would have drag and dropped/copied in Windows Explorer. 1/3 are viewable and 2/3 are not ie. when I try to view with any program all i get is a red cross. The files are all the right size (eg 4-5mbs) so it seems the images are there. I have tried this on multiple pc's with the same result. The last 70 are all fine as are an apparent random scattering of images. They are all jpgs and have Picture Manager as default program. I have tried to open in all picture relevant programs on this PC - WE, IE, Picture Fax Viewer, Picture Manager, Paint, Showbiz etc etc.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to play DVD's using Windows Media player. I get this "Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. You might need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings." I thought maybe it was my video driver, however, I rolled it back and it still didn't work. I installed the K-Lite mega codec pack, but that didn't work. However, the Media Player Classic which got installed with the codec pack works, although I don't really like the program. VLC wasn't working either, however, I reinstalled that and it's working fine now. I'm just curious as to why my media player won't play dvd's. It's the program that I usually used to play DVD's.

The DVD I do create, contain two folders named Audio_TS and Video_TS. Only the Video_TS contains any data, the Audio_TS folder is empty. I edit them a bit and then join them together before burning them. I suspect I need some kind of autorun scripts installed also that will start the DVD automatically.
