Windows 7 - I'm trying to add some icons to the Toolbar (Google, Yahoo, Ask, whatever) and I can't do it. Seems like I used to go to the website and just drag from the address bar but when I try that now, I get a circle with a slash through it. I'd also like to get the icon that is the website's logo, not just a standard IE icon that's too generic to know when I look at it.
icon like the Excel I have, no icon appear and all I see is white with its file name "file.xls" as example. I have my Microsoft Office properly installed and when I double click it, it normally opens the file. I also restarted my pc many times but still no excel icon. All I want to fix is that why there's no excel icon.
On my old Win 7 computer the toolbar icons were pretty easy to see. Now, I'm just setting up my new computer and I've found the toolbar icons are really, really tiny. Actually, all the toolbars and controls have shrunk! how to increase the sizes of the icons?
I recently "enabled" the quick launch toolbar for windows7. When I hover my cursor over the icons the resulting "box" encasing it does not match with my current theme.I'm using Win7StyleBuilder and I'm trying to change this, but I'm having a hard time finding where it is...
want to be able to have a completely clear desktop, void of icons and start toolbar with a hot key. However, I would like to be able have access to the start toolbar and able to have desktop icons available to me. This is where the hot key would come into play: the ability to hide/unhide both sets (icons and toolbar) simultaneously
I've just bought a new PC which has Windows 7 installed so just finding my way about! My old PC was running XP and all my program shortcuts in the Quick Launch Toolbar had relevant icons on them. However, although some shortcuts I've put on my 7 QLT have appeared with the relevant icons, for instance FF and TB, 3 other programmes have just come up as blank cream coloured folders. So is there a way to get the proper icons instead of the blanks?
I created a few shortcuts from chrome and added them to my Taskbar for ease of use. I created one for each of my multiple Gmail accounts etc and I changed their icons to something so I can identify which was which. The shortcut's took the icon and worked fine for a short period than I noticed every time I click on the icon after changing the default icon to my new one It would change the icon back to Gmails default one.
all my icons on desktop and computer have turned to notepad icons... and they open with some text on notepad... looking for a solution to go back to normal settings...
Some of the icons normally showing what a program type is are missing now. I HAVE all the DESKTOP icons and those in the system tray. But in Windows Explorer lists or in Word Perfect and Word lists of file names, many of the small icons that normally appear next to a program's name, or showing what type of document or file it is, are now missing. Not all, just some. I have mostly open square boxes. It doesn't matter whether I'm looking at a list of files I've created, or looking at the items in various system folders: most are just empty open squares instead of the individual icons. I have Windows 7 64-bit OS , both Mozilla 17 and IE9 browsers.
Are you able to add something to the tool bar with Windows 7 so that you can clear the desk top of icons and bring up a list of programs and just click on the program on the list to run it? I did this with Windows XP but I can't seem to do it with Windows 7.
I recently had a problem with trying to uninstall the ASK toolbar from IE9. I could not do this, even with advice. I then uninstalled the IE9 and tried to reinstall it. I have downloaded IE 9 Windows 7 x86 enu exe, When trying to install it I am informed that the process can not be completed because a later version is installed.
I have found this on my Startup menu - Google identifies this as spyware.I have run Spyware Doctor, Malwarebytes, Advance System Care, CCleaner, Spybot - all to no avail - they do not seem to be able to find a trace of it.i try to disable it on Startup but the next time I log in it is enabled again. It does not show on the list of Add/Remove Programs.
every time I start up Google I get the message:The Ask Toolbar has been successfully installed. With the option to enable or don't enable.I do not want this and click don't enable, but it still appears the next time I google.I have run msconfig.exe and went into Startup programs hoping to delete it, but its not listed
I went to uninstall this toolbar after discovering it in my Add/Remove Programs list, however, Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch prevented me from doing so because of the Trojan it detected. Any advice on making it so I can uninstall it, then clean it out using my Anti-Malware tools?
I was trying to get rid of Certified Toolbar Search and after trying everything, I just decided to uninstall/install Google Chrome. Now, all I get are these grey Untitled tabs that won't search anything I type. The tabs just pop up blank if I click Settings - History - Tools etc.I have a Toshiba Satellite powered by Windows 7.
In win xp, within any folder we had a toolbar which we could customize and put buttons for cut, copy paste, delete etc. I am really lacking the delete function button. Its just too much work to right click, scroll down and delete what I want to.
Whenever I add the Yahoo Toolbar to IE9, close the program and re-open it, the toolbar is gone. What can I do to prevent this? I also use the Google Toolbar with no problem. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 with 4gb RAM.
