I recently had a problem with trying to uninstall the ASK toolbar from IE9. I could not do this, even with advice. I then uninstalled the IE9 and tried to reinstall it. I have downloaded IE 9 Windows 7 x86 enu exe, When trying to install it I am informed that the process can not be completed because a later version is installed.
Are you able to add something to the tool bar with Windows 7 so that you can clear the desk top of icons and bring up a list of programs and just click on the program on the list to run it? I did this with Windows XP but I can't seem to do it with Windows 7.
Windows 7 - I'm trying to add some icons to the Toolbar (Google, Yahoo, Ask, whatever) and I can't do it. Seems like I used to go to the website and just drag from the address bar but when I try that now, I get a circle with a slash through it. I'd also like to get the icon that is the website's logo, not just a standard IE icon that's too generic to know when I look at it.
I have found this on my Startup menu - Google identifies this as spyware.I have run Spyware Doctor, Malwarebytes, Advance System Care, CCleaner, Spybot - all to no avail - they do not seem to be able to find a trace of it.i try to disable it on Startup but the next time I log in it is enabled again. It does not show on the list of Add/Remove Programs.
every time I start up Google I get the message:The Ask Toolbar has been successfully installed. With the option to enable or don't enable.I do not want this and click don't enable, but it still appears the next time I google.I have run msconfig.exe and went into Startup programs hoping to delete it, but its not listed
I went to uninstall this toolbar after discovering it in my Add/Remove Programs list, however, Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch prevented me from doing so because of the Trojan it detected. Any advice on making it so I can uninstall it, then clean it out using my Anti-Malware tools?
I was trying to get rid of Certified Toolbar Search and after trying everything, I just decided to uninstall/install Google Chrome. Now, all I get are these grey Untitled tabs that won't search anything I type. The tabs just pop up blank if I click Settings - History - Tools etc.I have a Toshiba Satellite powered by Windows 7.
In win xp, within any folder we had a toolbar which we could customize and put buttons for cut, copy paste, delete etc. I am really lacking the delete function button. Its just too much work to right click, scroll down and delete what I want to.
Whenever I add the Yahoo Toolbar to IE9, close the program and re-open it, the toolbar is gone. What can I do to prevent this? I also use the Google Toolbar with no problem. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 with 4gb RAM.
I have added the quick launch to the taskbar on 1 pc but on the second one when I click on toolbars - new toolbar it opens with Libraries showing and I cannot get rid of it to insert the text for the quick launch bar. Does anyone know how to get it to open without the libraries bar showing?
We've just got a laptop with Win7 installed our desktop has XP. When surfing there are a load of toolbars at the top of the screen so I've been trying to switch off the ones we won't use as it reduces the usable screen size. Unfortunately I've switched off the toolbar where the option to switch on or off toolbars is situated, ie I can't now turn it back on again! The other toolbar with a 'Tools' drop down doesn't have that option. Now what do I do please?Associated with this, when using XP I was able to have more than one toolbar on the same row - but I can't work out how to do that on Win7
Just got my new PC from Dell with Windows 7 Home, and was getting everything setup/downloaded, and I restarted, and now my TOP floating toolbar where I was adding the icons to is gone and im not sure how to get it back.... Is this normal?
Been testing Windows 7 since yesterday on 2 PCs and I admit they run as smoothly as no other Beta so far...I'd give Windows 7 to be the best release after XP, but I guess time will tell.
Anyways, I got a question...I've been seeing this nice toolbar on top of the screen on some screenshots of yours, does anybody know what it is and where I can find it? I'm submitting a picture with a small, discreet arrow pointing at what I mean exactly.
I don't know if my toolbar has been deleted or what I can not find any mention of it on my system, I would like to have it back if possible. I need internet options.
