Yellow Exclaimation Mark By WPD FileSystem Volume Driver
Nov 13, 2009
I have a yellow exclaimation mark by a device under Portable Devices in Device Manager. It is titled WPD FileSystem Volumne Driver.I tried Updating the driver but I get back a message saying I have the latest driver. Under properties for the driver it says, "This device cannot start. (Code 10). As far as I know my sound and volumes are working correctly. Is it safe to just deleted this driver?
These devices cannot start. How do I uninstall and reinstall these drivers? When I disable them, the yellow triangle goes away. I tried updating the drivers but I still have the problem.
upgraded to an Intel i5 2400 CPU with ASRock P67 PRO motherboard. Everything went well, Windows found everything and installed the drivers fine apart from one.
In the System there is a Canon LIDE scanner which shows as a CanoScan with the yellow exclamation mark. Also Devices and Printers it shows up but with the yellow exclamation mark. Have reinstalled the supplied 64bit Canon software for it but still no go. It is USB powered so swapped around the USB cable but still a no go area. Unplugging and reconnecting the scanner makes no difference. I have no idea where Canon places the drivers for this when the set up program installs.Going online Windows finds the driver software but reports back that it has encountered an error while attempting to install it. The software it is tryng to install is CanoScan LiDE 600F.
Windows 7 64bit SP1 - Intel i5 2400 - 128gb SSD - ASROCK P67 PRO 3 - 8GB ram.
After I restart the pc, 9 times out of 10 i get a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark over my network icon. When i go over it, it says I'm connected to the network but i have "no internet access" EVEN THOUGH I'm online and i am able to browse the web and download freely.
I updated my drivers, and still nothing, i also have the latest bios version. I tried asking on a couple other forums but it seems they are a bunch of amateurs...so i came here.
I have Windows 7 ultimate x64. When I installed it and system started first time, everything was fine, network was working great and I had internet access. After first restart and every time I start my computer I get very serious problem with network! First 5 seconds it is ok but then I get yellow exclamation mark on network icon in systrey and it says no internet access(!) also "Local Area Connection Status" looks like this:
after this my suffer starts: several network Disabling/Enabling, cable Unplugging/Plugging, modem reseting and after 10-15 minutes I get internet access...
I have a Asus Xonar DG audio device, but no sound. No sound at all. When I go to my device manager, yellow exclamation points are on my Asus Xonar and on RAID controller. Asus says driver is current. AMD High Def audio device is not disabled, should it be? If I disable it would I have sound? I have to listen to 4 hrs of video for work so I have to have sound back up asap.
So i have 2 laptops, one is win xp and the other one is 7.XP one is connected to internet trough a cable. I enabled wifi sharing on it ( control panel ->network and sharing->wireless networks->properties etc etc.) , to connect and use it on the 7 one. Everything sets up ok, the wifi profile shows up on the list and i can connect to it using set password but i get this yellow exclamation mark on 7 and there is no connection.I can only use the cable on XP laptop, so switching them up is not an option. Also, the internet connection seem to disapear on XP ( cannot access webpages ) when i connect trough that wireless connection on 7 ( and get exclamation
I have a question, is there a driver that will allow me to read/write HFS+ (mac os) partitions from windows 7? I have tried macdrive 8 but it wont find or open the disc. I tried HFSExplorer but that is read only, anyone got any ideas?
my hd5850 driver display crashes every now and then when i'm using Internet or things of that sort. and i was just browsing through my device manager and i noticed that under atitool utility - atitool driver has a yellow caution sign with an exclamation mark in it. now i'm not sure if this is even causing any problems, but i would rather fix it than to leave it be.
ps. i've downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card.
I had two 500G drives in raid-0. I then took apart the raid, formatted the two drives, installed into the machine on a DIFFERENT sata controller, everything works well. I use it a few days. Then I just boot the machine once more and, can't see my 500g drives AT ALL. They have simply vanished.
I check the disk management WHAT? it shows ONE 1t drive there, RAW filesystem. I shutdown and take out one drive, reboot and STILL it shows just one terabyte drive there. One, two drives, any SATA port, it always shows as one terabyte drive.
I rip both drives out, put in USB case and stick in my laptop, shows as one 500g drive, RAW filesystem, nothing on disk. Very nice. Incredible.
So now I've destroyed the partitions, formatted the drives...put them in the Windows 7 machine...and now I just wait how long will it take for win 7 to decide they are actually a single terabyte drive again.
And no, my sata controller (intel on Asus P5Q) is not set to raid mode either. If I have to reinstall Windows 7 for the third time to get it to work without amazing trickery.
I dual boot ubuntu/BTU bistro and win 7. They are all on different partitions. I had an extra partition for storage that I changed the file system so it could be read. Doing this I believe changed the order of my drives. Now on boot I get "unknown filesystem" grub rescue. I cannot load the bios or boot from cd.
so i have a blue yeti, and i'm an online animator/voice actor. whenever i record audio on my blue yeti (or any other mic) i record about 4-6 inches from the mic, and turn the gain down enough that the audio doesn't peak as i yell or whatever. this is what you're supposed to do if you don't want your audio levels peaking and making your recording sound horrible and corrupted. however, afterwards, it means i have really quite recordings. not a problem right? now that it's recorded right, i can boost the volume of the entire clip afterwards right? wrong. i'm not an audio expert so i must be missing something. but why in gods name would the audio distort and peak after it's recorded successfully? it's all there, it's all clean audio. if i turn the volume on my speakers all the way up it sounds crystal clear! all i want to do is do that inside the computer so that when i upload it to Internet people don't have to turn their speakers so far up. but if i increase the clips volume in the computer, it distorts! it sounds awful! why?! i tried in sony acid and audacity and they both do the same thing! i can take sound effects, and recordings made by other producers and crank them up nice and loud, but mine just fall apart!
I bought a USB A4 Tech HU-200 HeadPhone Its volume is quite high even when the windows volume is at 0, When its at max 100 it works like dedicated speakers Is there any way to reduce the volume beyond the lowest volume of windows 7?
Note: My Headphone does not have any soft of driver or software
I have just had re-install WIndows 7 (32bit)on my PC something that I've done once before with no problems. This time however there's a yellow triangle showing next to the PC icon in devices and printers.Going into properties then hardware it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" on Intel(R) 82801GB/GR (ICH7 Family) LPC Interface Controller - 27B8.I've got a disk with drivers on it and updated the PC with those but I still have this problem.
I just received a new keyboard today: Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate. I went from a Logitech G15.
First thing I did was connect the keyboard and install the software that came along on the CD, it probably also installed the correct drivers. First after this did I uninstall the software and drivers from the old Logitech G15. But before that, and now after, the volume buttons on my new keyboard is still not adjusting the volume when I press them.
A speaker-icon like this shows up when I press the volume buttons, so its not that the keys are not working: (ignore the text behind it, its me writing an assignment)
I recently got this problem, that my volume hotkeys stopped working, (Acer Aspire 5560G) AMD High Definition Audio. I also tryed plug in other keyboard that have's volume hotkeys but still doesn't work.
I like to listen to music loudly sometimes. I have both the volume mixer and my application's volume set to maximum levels, but it's not loud enough for my liking. Is there any way to increase the maximum sound volume in Windows 7?
When I enter device manager I see the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller with an orange explanation mark next to it. I need to get drivers for it where can I get them from (windows could not get any). Also im on my newly buily gaming pc on windows professional 64 bit.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-CS36GJ laptop. I upgraded it from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). Now, my AV Mode and other shortcut buttons for volume, camera, etc. are not working. What driver should I download and install?
I am on my 6th brand new laptop in 3 months. I believe I have a VPN Remote user on it trying to destroy it again. I checked out my device manager and found a hidden driver called Dynamic Volume Manager (one of many). In details I saw it's "value" is "HTREEROOT\0, it's parent is "ROOT" one of it's many siblings is "ROOT6T04MP000".
my screen has a black mark in the bottom right hand corner. It is about 2cm in length and looks like the screen is bleeding. This mark appeared a little more than 24 hours ago.
The icons on my desktop have a lock in the lower corner. Indicating that they are not to be shared. This lock randomly switches to a green check mark or to a grey X or sometimes to the file shared icon. Different ones switch to different icons when it happens. So not just the folders or just the shortcuts. But all desktop icons. The main icon picture stays the same, it's the lower corner spot that changes around randomly. The little arrow that indicates that the icon is a shortcut. This even happens on my game icons. Is this a sign of a malfunction or maybe mal-ware? I do not have Mozy or Norton installed. Running Win 7. When I turned on my PC today a AMD update was prompted. Assuming it was for a driver update, I clicked ok. Even though I uninstalled and reinstalled my driver yesterday, to try and fix a flickering problem. The update looked legitimate. Today I also uploaded and downloaded a small video file from "Bloggif.com". While I was trying to create an animated .gif. The animated .gif worked. This seems like one of those things that happens when I don't know that my pinky finger is resting on the ctrl key. But can't figure out how to keyword troubleshoot through Google.
I had the clean it virus pop up window on my Sony Vaio laptop. After doing a few searches on how to get rid of this little pest. I rebooted my laptop in SAFE mode and did a restore to an earlier date. Everything seemed to take fine. Several minutes later while browsing the internet my FIREFOX crashed. I restarted it and several minutes later my computer crashed to a black screen with a blinking hash mark.
