Connect to Exchange server and cache mode is selected.
This happens after I tried to install a bluetooth software. It failed to work as described so I uninstalled it. Now my network notification icon is always a red cross. But when I hover my mouse over it, it says I have internet access. And of course I do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo the problem is that my WiFi somehow doesn't show up on my devices. However, the internet works perfectly fine through ethernet cable for my PC. All my other devices such as my phone and laptop dont see the router even though I have enabled wifi through the router control panel. I also have reset the router manually, updated to recent firmware. My ISP said it might be my computer so I disconnected the cable from the pc to the router and hardwI thought it was my router's problem so I exchanged it for the same model (Netgear N300) but the problem still exists. I went back to ask the computer store to test the router's wifi and they said that it worked fine...
View 9 Replies View Related1st post...I have a dell lap top and a desk top at home I use for work. I have a linksys wireless router I always use for my laptop. All of sudden today i cannot connect to the internet. I have a red X over the wifi icon. it says "not connected - No connections available". i have done all i know to do and sat on hold with dell tech support for over an hour. I always pick up 4 -8 other networks around me too, which is weird that it says none are available. I am on my desktop now, and internet is working fine. reset the router and restarted several times. I believe the wifi connection is enabled.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my laptop will not remain connected to my wifi. The other computers on the network are running just fine. The laptop in question is one I recently received from a friend who had no problems like this. I have been browsing various forums for quite some time, and have been unable to fix the problem. Running Windows 7 on an ASUS machine, the router is a Linksys RangePlus.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi just got a new router, my brother helped me set it up this router creates 2 wifi network, one named A, the other one named B.A is faster than B (i don't know why) on my ipad or phone or any mobile devices, i see both networks but on my windows 7 PC, i only see B (the slower one)so where is A? i need this faster one, why does it show up on mobile devices but not on my Windows 7 PC?when he set up the router, he said to me that the website (routerlogin.net - where you can set up your router, put password, etc) says "A is available for Mac and B is available for Windows PC". is this the reason?but what about mobile devices, they can connect to both networks?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is connected to a router (DLink DSL 524T) via network cable. Although I could still connect to the net through the router there is a cross shown between the Network and Internet in the Networks and Sharing Center.
This isn't a big deal (since I connect to the Internet) but I was wondering why the cross is there? Is there a way I could get it off?
P.S. - I've attached a screen-shot of the network and sharing center in case my explanation was a bit confusing
This is not a specific Win 7 problem but it's involved so here goes!
I have four machines all connected to a switch, two wirelessly and two
wired. The router is wired also to the switch.
The two wired machines, one a laptop and one a desktop, both running Windows
XP, one wireless laptop is running Windows 7RC and the other Netbook,
Ubuntu.
Occasionally, like this afternoon, one of the wired machines and BOTH the
wireless machines will suddenly drop internet access, although access to
shared drives on the LAN is still there, yet the one XP wired laptop machine
does NOT drop internet access. The only way of returning access to the three
machines that have dropped it is re-boot the router, causing hassle to the
one machine that is still on the internet.
Can anyone tell me any reasons why this hugely irritating and totally
illogical scenario might come about?
I keep getting what seems like static line horizontally across my screen I just bought this laptop a couple months ago?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to do that ? I knew it might be possible but I found some saying that if the ADSL modem is connected using LAN then it will not work.
So here's my setup:
PC A and PC B (Both using Windows 7 64)
> PC A got two LAN port (LAN C and D)
> PC B got one LAN port
Cross Over cable
ADSL Modem - Connected to PC A via LAN C
What I want to do is connect the crossover via my PC A's LAN C to PC B's LAN to share the internet connection. Is it possible ? I had managed to make the PC B joined my PC A in homegroup, which mean file sharing has no problem at all. I just doesn't know how to set the IP, DNS, gateway to make my PC B access my PC A internet. Any help ? Please let me know it is possible.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am currently studying about file sharing and have recently developed an urge to create two volumes that can be shared across two Windows installations. One volume will be for the contents of the user files (My documents, My Music, Downloads, etc.) and the other would be for installed applications. The main reason I want to do this is because I am currently using a machine with a Windows 8 partition and a Windows 7 partition, and the whole process of having to copy the files and install the same programs to the other partition is really daunting, not to mention a huge increase in wasted space on the hard drive. The main issue I have with the first volume I want to create, is that I really have no idea how to integrate the user files in a way that both Windows installations can find it inside the same default location. All I could think of is maybe some kind of re-direct setting or file, but I still have no clue on how to do that. On the second partition, I have experimented with creating one similar to it for games only, but when I tried to run it on Windows 8, most of the programs needed to either reinstall, or have me manually add some dll files to the Windows 8 partition.

In the System there is a Canon LIDE scanner which shows as a CanoScan with the yellow exclamation mark. Also Devices and Printers it shows up but with the yellow exclamation mark. Have reinstalled the supplied 64bit Canon software for it but still no go. It is USB powered so swapped around the USB cable but still a no go area. Unplugging and reconnecting the scanner makes no difference. I have no idea where Canon places the drivers for this when the set up program installs.Going online Windows finds the driver software but reports back that it has encountered an error while attempting to install it. The software it is tryng to install is CanoScan LiDE 600F.

I updated my drivers, and still nothing, i also have the latest bios version. I tried asking on a couple other forums but it seems they are a bunch of amateurs...so i came here.
