Windows 7 Home Disc Not Supplied With New Laptop?

My niece got a Toshiba laptop on Christmas, and now it is messed up from a virus. It's a Toshiba C655D-1087 that came loaded with Win7 Home 64 bit. No CDs came with it. Toshibas' website does have all of the drivers available on-line. I cannot find anywhere to download Win7 so that I can do a HDD wipe and reformat/ re-install. The Win7 product key code is affixed to the bottom of the unit, Just need a valid way to obtain the OS for a clean install. I personally have Win7 Pro 64 bit, but I don't believe that I can use that with a 7 Home key.

Idk if I can do this or not, but I am looking to purchase an ISO of a Windows 7 Home Premium OEM x64. It needs to have all the updates integrated in it, along with IE9 and all that good stuff. I format and reinstall Windows numerous times a day and this disc would do me wonders. I have tried doing it myself with RT Lite or whatever it was but couldn't figure it out and didn't have the time nor patience to constantly reinstall Windows to make sure it was working.If this is in the wrong section, I apologize and just let me know where I need to go! If purchasing this stuff is not allowed feel free to simply delete this thread.

Over the last weekend I installed a new hard drive into my system, and on that drive installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Over the past week I have been tweaking my settings, resolving issues, and installing programs.So far everything is working fine, except for the fact that when I shut down, there is still some power being supplied to my motherboard (NumLock indicator does not turn off, and if I open the case the power LED on the motherboard is illuminated). This does not happen when I shut down from Windows XP (I have a dual-boot configuration; XP is on my smaller hard drive).
1. I have gone into my BIOS and disabled all the relevant power management settings (as far as what devices can wake the system, etc.).
2. I have gone through my Windows 7 power management settings and disabled/changed all settings that seemed relevant.
3. I have gone through my device manager and made sure that, for all devices that have a power management tab in their properties, the check box that says something like "Allow the computer to turn off this device when shutting down" (or something like that) is selected. Yes, even for the firewire port. There are some items for which the check box is greyed out and cannot be selected (such as the keyboard).
Here are the only things that I think may have an impact that I have NOT done:
1. Installed the chipset drivers for my motherboard in Windows 7. I have not done this because: a) other than powering down, everything else works fine; and b) I am not sure which driver package I should install (due to the mixed northbridge and southbridge chipsets on my motherboard).

I had Windows 7 Home Premium installed and I just wanted to reinstall everything but when I boot it up from CD it is not working for some reason. It just goes straight to Windows 7 log in. Seems like ppls been having problems but they do not seem to have exactly same setting as me. Since I am doing Windows 7 to Windows 7. I wanted to format it but instead of just formatting I tried installing it. But now it is not working.BIOS setting is CD/DVD and I also manually did it by pressing F12.. still not working.

I currently have windows 7 home premium 64 bit edition on my desktop. I get a copy of windows 7 professional 64 bit disc with legal key from my university for a student special. How can I upgrade? I was redirected to windows anytime upgrade during the installation. But my windows 7 professional x64 product key was not accepted there. I already have lots applications installed so I don't want to do a clean install.

I have a key for Windows 7 Home Premium and I would like to install the software but I don't have a W7 HP disc. The only trial I can find is W7 Enterprise and once the trial period is done you can't enter a key anyway, you have to do a clean install of your purchased product.

I have successfully created a Windows 7 Repair Disc using the "Create a system repair disc" from Control_Panel->Backup_and_Restore
When I attempt to reboot, using the Repair Disc I have just created, everything appears to work - Loads files, Windows wavy flag, etc. however; just as I am about to get into the real stuff I receive the following message:
This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair.
This is exactly the ssame message I get if I boot from the original Window 7 DVD and elect Repair option
This is really important to me as when I use F8 during Post I do not have the options to repair the system here either and it freaks me a bit to be unable to repair the system should anything happen

I recently got my new dell laptop, and windows 7 home premium dvd both supplied and pre installed on it. i tried installing the same windows 7 on my old laptop but it did not boot. is it even possible to boot from the dvd, or is it protected by some software? or do i just need to create a new dvd? am not really bright in computers, but if u can explain properly, i'll comprehend.

The software supplied with the CanoScan 9000F is limiting in the size of scan you can make. It limits the file size to 100MB. That is quite ridiculous in this day and age of 64 bit OSs, 16GB RAM, and so on.

I have a Home network running Windows Vista, on the Network, is the server running Vista, An Acer Laptop running Win 7, A Hp Laptop running Win 7 and a Toshiba Laptop running Win 7. I have shared everything on all laptops but every time I try to connect It ask for a password. I went to the sharing option and changed the password on all computers to the same thing in home networks, I still cant access any of the laptops, Says the password is incorrect. I can access the Server with Vista, but just not the Laptops.

I burned a backup copy of my windows 7 disc and it works on my desktop but when I try to reinstall Windows on my laptop, it doesn't work.Like when I try to go to boot menu and choose cd drive it acts like there's no disc in there or something and it doesn't say "Press any key to continue."I've also already tried setting boot options up in bios still not working.I burned it on a dual layer 8.5 disc and also a one layer 4.7 disc and both the same.
