Nov 28, 2011I have Microsoft FrontPage 2000 on my old PC which is running XP. Can I install it on my new PC which is running Windows 7. Will it work OK?

Nov 20, 2012I had all my files transfered from my old desktop to a new laptop. When I tried to load Microsoft 2000, I was asked for the 25 digit product key which I typed in the required box. I assumed that finished the process. Now when I click on a file, I get the following message" required registry information is missing and this application cannot run. Please rerun setup to correct this problem".

When installing Frontpage 2003 it wants a version of office so I referred it to the c: drive, but the program didn't seem to see the 2010 office version, so I found my old office 2003 cd and refered it to the CD drive where I put it and it still would not allow me to continue. Feb 27, 2012I´ve got problems with FP 2003 in Windows 7. They are compatibles?In Start->All Programs browse to the |frontPage icon Right Click, then i choose compatibility with Windows XP SP2 that is the option that FP choose for you and nothing works rigth. I prove with other compatibility options and nothing...I´ve got 2 virtual machines running in Windows 7- 32 bits. They have Office 2010 packet and Frontpage 2003. In one machine i could upload archives to frontpage but i can´t save that archive in FP in that moment, i must save it in another site and later upload at FP again. That is a little problem comparing the problem that i have with the other machine.With the other machine when i try to upload any kind of archive to FP the error is "the server was closed inexperately".

Before on the xp laptop she used to work with Microsoft works Suite 2001that ran Microsoft Works 6.0 and mainly the Picture It part of the suite using the Picture It, Publishing 2001 Set up Design and Art.She still likes this prog as she is very comfortable with it and it does just what she wants it to do. The problem was that when she went to open one of her files it was a php file and tho she has got Office 2007 on her new pc it will not open the file. I tried to install the worksuite 2001 onto the new pc from the original discs that we have and after a while an error comes up unable to load dll file ?? Does this mean it is not compatible and if so can anyone reccomend a (free if possible) program that we can use to open/use the php files

When I originally tried to install this same software on my WIN 7 Home Premium laptop it was unable to find a qualifying program. It wasn't seeing the Office 2003 - even with the actual install disk in the CD drive.So, I purchased the upgrade to WIN 7 Ultimate and have installed the Virtual PC with XP Mode thinking I could circumvent the WIN 7 and get FP installed through the virtual OS. I have access to both Office XP for Students and an Enterprise Version of Office Professional 2003.

"Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'vcredist' in the box below." I went to my C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP but it didn't work all it says is "The file 'C:UsersLarAppDataLocalTempIXP001.TMP' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. Try to find the installation package 'vcredist.msi' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable." Mind you it does this for any version I try to uninstall So I rebooted and tried again but the Temp folder wasn't there which was to be expected but now I can't find any vcredist.msi on my computer and it does the same thing in safe mode
