Nov 3, 2010after boot up I click on anything above the taskbar and the icon opens then freezes, ie: control panel opens then I cannot open anything in it, the window outline turns grey? I do ctl,alt del for task master then I can click on control panel and it will open? ie: click on computer icon and I cannot open C drive, nothing happens until I open task manager?I did a full repair.when I click on the taskbar after a boot, nothing happens, nothing highlights or attempts to open. I am using a wiresless microsoft mouse. I aslo tried a usb mouse.

Oct 3, 2010I purchased a 2TB Seagate GoFlex Desk External HDD and Windows did not auto-detect it.So I went under Device Manager and under Other Devices, the Seagate drive was listed with the yellow exclamation. It shows that the driver is not found. I had windows search online and it found nothing. The only way I know to get it back is to do a repair/restore of windows? I am afraid to do this as I have to much to risk losing. Is there any other way to obtain this driver. I plugged the device into another computer also running Windows 7 (only home not pro) and it auto-detected right away. So I know for sure the device works.My computer though is most definitely missing the driver.

I would like the ability to start the screen saver on command without going to the display option and clicking the preview button. For example, when surfing the web or watching a video, I would like to push alt-s or something similar, or perhaps move the mouse to a corner, and the screen saver starts automatically, right away, then acts normally as if it started by itself (meaning, it is "on" until I move the mouse or push a key).

Jan 18, 2011My mouse takes a full minute to be usable after boot. the first time this happened I did a system restore and it fixed it. It came back, I did another restore, it came back again I did it 3 more times like this. I am current on all updates. I am running a asus px658d-e board. All the drivers are up to date. I am running the most recent bios, I am using a usb keyboard and mouse. I have tried booting with the mouse in each usb port with no improvement. I deleted the mouse in the device manager and rebooted. it reinstalled the driver and the problem did not improve. I am running win 7 pro 64bit.

Oct 17, 2012I've been getting this problem lately where both my mouse and my keyboard start acting up after a few hours of the computer being turned on. What happens is that the keyboard stops using it's normal functions (ie. pressing m to type m) and starts doing a number of different things instead, ranging from not work at all to opening programs and closing them down by pressing F keys and pressing unique characters such as umlauted letters. The mouse also acts up, trying to run programs in administrator when they are pressed on the windows bar at the bottom.The computer is pretty brand new (a month old) and I've been using a new mouse and keyboard since buying it also. I've tried unplugging and resetting the keyboard when this happens but the only thing that seems to reset the issue is restarting my computer which fixes the problem.

Sep 19, 2012Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

Sep 18, 2011I probably spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now I can not inactivate the mouse pad in favor of the external mouse. The only way I can eliminate the conflict is to uninstall the mouse pad. That works fine but every time I reboot for something I have to uninstall it again. As you know rebooting is common and therefore I have to reboot twice for every time I have to reboot. Anyone with a solution to this problem? This is a HP laptop. Dec 31, 2011I used my Turtle Beach Headset while playing a game and since then the computer has started saying i have two mice connected to my computer. The problem is that since its reading two mice the one i have been using forever has stopped working right.ouble Click is disabled and it moves extremely fast. I go to disable the HID Mouse and everything is working fine again. But when the computer restarts it seems to reinitalize the HID Mouse. So i uninstalled the driver for it. Next reboot it was back again and this time the headset wasnt even plugged in. I am not getting any error messages in my device manager but i cant seem to get the HID mouse to disappear. Whenever i plug anything into the USB port even if its a Thumb drive the mouse comes back.
