View 1 Replies View RelatedI've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.
System:
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/GEN 3
Intel 2600K
XFX R7950 Black Edition
OCZ 850W
Crucial 128 GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HD
Corsair H100
Windows 7 64 bit (full)
I've never had problems with this game until about a week ago. Recently it had a hard freeze that I was able to Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of and then today I was playing and I got a BSOD. I tried to send my error report, but it was taking forever so I cancelled and now can't find it. Is this my graphics card overheating? I'm not sure I'm worried just got this gaming pc in December. The BSOD said that there was a problem with the display driver.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know Creative have released a beta driver for this headset: HSHP_W7DRVBETA_US_1_01_0003.exe
Link: Creative Worldwide Support
However, I'm just wondering if its worth it?
Windows 7 picked up the headset fine and everything has been working "straight out of the box".
I only had to change the name of the device in audio properties to distinguish between speakers and headset. Mic has worked perfectly and sounds fine with no adjustments. (Tested on ventrillo)
The only thing drivers/package seems to offer is changing EQ settings or various "technologies" available which im not interested in.
or is there something else i'm missing which I would need the drivers for?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?

The solve PC issues window says I need to update my driver and includes a direct download but I prefer to get the update directly from the source. I think that the GeForce/ION Driver Release 190 is the graphics driver I need.
NVIDIA DRIVERS 190.62 WHQL
When I run the driver test on the nvidia website it says I need the Notebook Release 186 but the 9400 is not listed under supported devices. Again, I'm 99% sure that I need the GeForce/ION Driver Release 190 but I don't want to screw anything up.
A new Intel driver for GMA 500 graphics has been released for the Sony Vaio P with noticeable improvements in video viewing, Aero performance (enables 3D acceleration) and web browsing. I have been advised that it Works only under Vista and Windows 7, no XP.
Apparently you have to install under Windows 7, use compatibility mode and select Vista as OS. Can someone please guide me on how to install using compatibility mode ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently had a hard drive fail and after replacing the drive and installing 7 from scratch things were fine until I had the BSOD, saying my graphics driver can not be reset.
Then on reboot and before windows loads, I have repeating non english characters across the boot info screens and missing characters within the text that should be there. When in 7, I then get wavy green or yellow lines across the screen and I can only boot in to safe mode.
I'm thinking a graphics card failure (I've reinstalled the driver) but is there any tool that I can use to check my graphics card??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a dualboot windows 7 home premium with nVidia GTX 460 installed on it. I recently got a SSD drive and this pertains to the problem with that. Everything works fine on the HDD with same graphics card and everything. Everytime I log on my drivers are not there for the GTX 460-I reload them and then everything is fine-I can extend the desktop to second monitor etc.I have enable the administrator account also but I still keep having same problems. I changed windows setting to let me select the best drivers for device also but problem persists. I had same problem on the HDD but that was a couple of years ago and I dont remember how I solved it. I dont think its hardware related or driver realted(same drivers on HDD work fine). Somehow Windows is not retaining the drivers and everytime I reboot its back to basic.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've posted on these forums about this problem before, it is one I've been truggling with for a long time.I run a game, and at some point during the game will freeze momentarily, minimize and I'll get the 'Graphics driver has failed and has recovered' error. Now, apart from the RAM and CPU, which both have been tested, every single component in my case has been replaced and tested thoroughly not just by me, but by the people in a computer store nearby who had been consulting me about the problem. They couldn't find any faults with the hardware and since it was a fresh installation of Windows 7, that didn't seem to be the problem either.Nevertheless, after a week of testing several different options they found nothing.
I've now installed a Windows XP dualboot and was surprised to see that the problem doesn't occur on XP.All hardware is completely Windows 7 approved.Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this and how I might stop it from happening? It's a gaming rig that I invested quite a bit in, and it really feels like a waste having to stick with Dx9.
Every 5-10 minutes my screen turns black, sort of flashes a bit, and then comes back on in different colours and the windows are all different sizes, but then it changes a bit and goes back to normal. Then I get a balloon message from the task bar saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista® stopped responding and has successfully recovered." (screenshot below) For some reason it says "for Windows Vista® but I am on Windows 7. When it has come back to normal again, Chrome goes all funny and the tabs won't switch. So if I try to switch tabs, the top thing is on the tab that I have switched to, but the main screen below stays on what the previous tab was. Also, sometimes the tab becomes unresponsive and I have to either restart Chrome or refresh the tab.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems updating my Intel Graphics Media Accelerator driver, 8.15.10.2119. It is the version that prevents Win 7 SP1 from showing up in WU. I read a thread about this very issue from 2011, but the link provided to go to Intel to get the latest driver leads to nowhere. I cannot find a place to go to update the driver. I manually downloaded SP1 and installed it and it is working fine. My question is: do I still need to update the driver, and if so, where do I get it from? Neither HP nor Intel is any help here. And would this driver cause IE9 to crash? The computer came with IE8 on it, but I installed IE9 in Nov. 2011. Shortly after, I was getting a message like "Internet Explorer has stopped working". I uninstalled IE9 and went back to IE8, but I had the same problem there as well. IE8 worked fine until I upgraded to IE9. Then I uninstalled IE8 and changed to IE9, where I still have problems. I have contacted MS Support about this, and one option given was to reformat the hard drive, which I really don't want to do. They were concerned about the fact that SP1 was not offered and hinted that the computer would be more vulnerable to problems without it installed. My firewall and anti-virus have turned up nothing. I use Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security.
