Web Surfing Is Very Slow
Feb 2, 2013
For about the past week audio issues. Audio randomly cuts out. Must turn off and turn on speakers and all is fine again for a few minutes, then cuts out again. Problem occurs both when streaming and/or listening to music on hard drive. As of past 24 hours, now web surfing slow. 50% of time web page hangs, other times, it pulls up the page successfully.

im running windows 7 home premium, with 2gb of ram,2.2ghz,on a presario CQ62 notebook. i have high speed cable internet through roadrunner.i have no viruses, nothing at all running accept for the services that normallly run on this computer.cpu usage is at zero, and everything runs fine, that is untill i start surfing the internet. im only getting 6mbps or even lower at times, when i should be getting 10mbps or more.i have run multiple different speed tests through road runner, and they basically all conclude that my download speed is 6mbps or lower, sometimes reaching as low as 3mbps.alot of times it will start out at 20mbps and then dramatically drop to almost nill.my upload however seems normal and never changes at 49.i have another computer thats a dell with 4gbs of ram and a faster processor and im getting 20mbps+++ fast! does having a faster processesor and more ram make a difference while surfing the net? i have an emachine with only 1gb of ram and windows xp,and its faster then this new presario at surfing the net using this same line.its really noticeable just flippin through pages or doing searches

Fresh install of Windows 7 64 on my PC almost exactly 1 week ago. It loaded w/ a i5 2500k processor, Asus P8V68-Pro mb, 4x8gb G.Skill DDR3 1600 ram, and 2 120G Sandisk Extreme SSDs in Raid 0. I did the re-install of a Windows 7 upgrade disc I purchased.1 stick of the g.skill ram was an RMA so I'm thinking it might be that. I didn't run memtest86+ when I got the new stick so that's a possibility.BSOD occurred when my gf was surfing on Firefox. It was very random, 1st BSOD since the new install. Since I didn't see it in person I didn't catch the error code.

i've gotten the BSOD before, but it was worse than this case. my laptop suddenly shut down one day and would just show me the bsod any time it was turned on, and then it would shut off again. after lots of failed attempts to get my laptop back on, i restored it. luckily i had a back up of all my files so it was no biggie.now it has started doing it again, but this time it is turning back on after it 'crashes'. i'll be on the internet and then the screen will go black, then it will flash me the BSOD or something about crash dump, and then shut off.

I've been trying to setup my own personal hotspot wifi, but it seems the internet connection is always limited and it always displays the "URL is not found on this server" page.
I am using Intel MyWifi Technology, and then tried using connectify, to no avail.
I did an Intel PROSet Wireless manual diagnostic to found it failing at the association test.
I can connect to the wifi hotspot, but just have no access to the internet.

Using any browser starts the online connection, etc. then seems to stop though it still shows it trying to connect to the requested website. Tried, on IE9, Chrome and Opera, it jsut seems to stop or spin it wheels. The odd thing is updates either by MS own or pgm. updates seem to go through provided on their own update procedure, like AV or pgm. update. The last update was .Net one, is that possible causing issues.Anyways, I maybe forced to return to some restore point, if no solution is found. I understand SP1 can cause some problems, but haven't heard of this. Seems odd is I can still update with MS update service(auto).

Recently both my PC and Laptop have started to freeze intermittently when surfing the net. By freezing I mean that the computer becomes completely unresponsive with the screen stuck on whatever page I was on at the point of the freeze - the mouse cursor stops moving, the clock stops ticking, no response to control-alt-delete, etc. Nothing I can do but power down and re-boot. I have tried just leaving the PC for an hour but it does not recover.
This happens regularly but intermittently and at random intervals. I can rarely go 30 mins of surfing without a freeze. On my laptop the fan really ramps up when this freeze happens - as if the CPU usage has gone up to 100%. However, the on screen CPU gage gadget does not change as the whole screen is frozen. When I log back in there is nothing in the windows event logs for the time of the failure.
The PC is on Windows XP and the laptop is Windows 7. I use a mix of IE9 and Chrome on the laptop and IE8 and Chrome on the PC. The freeze happens using any of these browsers. The only thing that I can see that the PC and Laptop have in common is that they are using the same router (PC via cable and laptop via wi-fi) and I have Norton 360 and Norton Family installed on both. How I can track down the cause of this issue? (Disabling Norton Family makes no difference.) Any other logs or logging tools that I could use?

My PC is brand new (build it up in August) but I keep getting BSOD almost every time. I've updated my graphics card drivers because I thought it would help but it didn't.
I get the BSOD totally randomly. It doesn't matter if I play games or just surf in the internet.
Is Windows 7 . .
.
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
- the original installed OS on the system? Windows XP
- an OEM or full retail version? Full retail
- What is the age of system (hardware)? Everything was bought in August expect my mouse and keyboard were bought last year. My normal hard drive may be several years old. I don't know for sure.
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) OS was installed in August. I have re-installed my old XP many times when I still had it.

I have attached the collected dump files and perfmon report. Also included is a pic of the specific BSOD, and a screen dump of his system specs.- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? X64- the original installed OS on the system? yes it is- an OEM or full retail version? OEM- What is the age of system (hardware)? Less than 12 months- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) PreinstalledThere seemed to be some indication of ATI involvement in the crashes, so I have tried updating the ATI drivers, but the problem continues - perhaps once a week the system will freeze, mouse pointer can still be moved but nothing can be clicked onEventually it restarts with the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD.

i am having a weird wireless adapter problem. first of all the model of wireless adapter is tp- link ( tl-wn722n 150mbps ) and i am connected to tp-link router ( tl-wr740n ). so for the problem it's whenever i am surfing internet the wireless adapter just turns off.. it's either it's stuck on green light or no light ( it flashes green every 2 seconds when its normal ) sometime i can stay on the internet for 1 minute to 5 hours, but it's mostly few minutes. i noticed when i am reading news on internet or something like that it doesn't disconnect, but when i turn on Internet and watch a vid it suddenly drops signal. i have to unplug and plug it in again to get the connection back.
i have tried alot of things..i have changed ports, reinstalled all drivers in router, updated drivers, restetted settings to factory defaults, changing security, channels..nothing worked. the signal is pretty good i can still download with at least 1mbps of speed + the signal bar is full or 1 lower. another weird thing when i am downloading a file it doesn't dissconect i think it's just fine when i'm away from the computer.. but when i start googling, chatting on steam watching videos it just looks like it lost signal or something. also this is not the wireless adapter, because i had one before it started having same problem.. i bought this one at start it had same problem but it was 1 day, but after 2 weeks it started happening.. it's not overheating, i can be connected to internet in safe mode without a problem. also i am using a pc not laptop there are no viruses or malwares on my computer i have used avg and norton antiviruses for scanning, i also got 2 other computers one is loptop and other is pc none of them got such a problem.

This is a new pc build using various parts we have accumulated. When using Internet Explorer I get app crashes. I have been playing DC Universe Online and get random app crash, display drivers stop responding, apphangB1, I also lose monitor signal. Here is a list of fixes we have tried already:
-We have disabled internet explorer add ons and even tried disabling IE completely, to no avail
-We have swapped out the 5770 for an 8800 GTX that we know works, same problem
-We have the latest BIOS/drivers
-We have run SpeedFan, CPU temp 41C
-We have run Memtest for both sticks of RAM at the same time in slots 1 and 3 and there was an error, so we tried to isolate the bad RAM by testing invidivual sticks in slot 3 - no errors on either stick? therefore, we put the sticks in slots 3 and 4, assuming there may be a problem with slot 1 - worked ok for a couple of hours, then game crashes and black screen with sound requiring reboot. Monitor is fine, as it works on my BF's pc with no problems.
-We have tried a couple of installs of Windows 7
-We have run chkdsk - no errors. The BIOS is running on default, nothing overclocked - we have used the correct timings for the RAM and autotimed them, same problem
We are currently not using an antivirus because we did not want to add more problems, but we will get AVAST.My BF has given up now, as there is nothing else he can think of to try. I feel we are so close to resolving the issue, as it did run fine for a while, but then a bunch of errors all at once. If it helps, here is a copy of the error log.

Whne BSOD happens, the error is Kernel data inpage error. I had look it up and it have to do with the HDD, but I'm the only one receiving that error while trying to burn a dvd.

I've recently switched to Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) using one Toslink cable instead of all the analog wires going from my PC to my receiver. The digital sound is amazing, CD quality from my PC is great. However, I now also receive the digitized sound of pages being loaded as I surf the web. All sound comes out digitized when loading a new page.Is there a way to stop this from happening while listening to music or course material without gong back to analog? Can I have my digital CD quality and enjoy it too!

I bought this Fujitsu laptop for less than a year. Its only for my school work. It takes forever to bootup, startup and it sometime hangs when I open up a program or typing. For the bootup, it takes very long time on the window logo, after that the black screen, followed by the welcome page with the loading cursor. Each of this process take a long time. For startup, its not so long but its still quite lag. For the opening up of program and typing, everytime I open up my visual studio, it will take a long time to show up and even if it showed up, it will be "not responding".So I will have to open it a second time before I can start using itWhen I am typing my codes, it will randomly hang and show that the program is not responding. I am still able to move my cursor though.
