View 1 RepliesFresh install of Windows 7 64 on my PC almost exactly 1 week ago. It loaded w/ a i5 2500k processor, Asus P8V68-Pro mb, 4x8gb G.Skill DDR3 1600 ram, and 2 120G Sandisk Extreme SSDs in Raid 0. I did the re-install of a Windows 7 upgrade disc I purchased.1 stick of the g.skill ram was an RMA so I'm thinking it might be that. I didn't run memtest86+ when I got the new stick so that's a possibility.BSOD occurred when my gf was surfing on Firefox. It was very random, 1st BSOD since the new install. Since I didn't see it in person I didn't catch the error code.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi've gotten the BSOD before, but it was worse than this case. my laptop suddenly shut down one day and would just show me the bsod any time it was turned on, and then it would shut off again. after lots of failed attempts to get my laptop back on, i restored it. luckily i had a back up of all my files so it was no biggie.now it has started doing it again, but this time it is turning back on after it 'crashes'. i'll be on the internet and then the screen will go black, then it will flash me the BSOD or something about crash dump, and then shut off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have attached the collected dump files and perfmon report. Also included is a pic of the specific BSOD, and a screen dump of his system specs.- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? X64- the original installed OS on the system? yes it is- an OEM or full retail version? OEM- What is the age of system (hardware)? Less than 12 months- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) PreinstalledThere seemed to be some indication of ATI involvement in the crashes, so I have tried updating the ATI drivers, but the problem continues - perhaps once a week the system will freeze, mouse pointer can still be moved but nothing can be clicked onEventually it restarts with the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD.

I recently built a pc but been having random BSODs. I have updated all my drivers to the latest versions. The most recent BSOD I got is today while surfing the net.
It displayed MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and fltmgr.sys

This is a new pc build using various parts we have accumulated. When using Internet Explorer I get app crashes. I have been playing DC Universe Online and get random app crash, display drivers stop responding, apphangB1, I also lose monitor signal. Here is a list of fixes we have tried already:
-We have disabled internet explorer add ons and even tried disabling IE completely, to no avail
-We have swapped out the 5770 for an 8800 GTX that we know works, same problem
-We have the latest BIOS/drivers
-We have run SpeedFan, CPU temp 41C
-We have run Memtest for both sticks of RAM at the same time in slots 1 and 3 and there was an error, so we tried to isolate the bad RAM by testing invidivual sticks in slot 3 - no errors on either stick? therefore, we put the sticks in slots 3 and 4, assuming there may be a problem with slot 1 - worked ok for a couple of hours, then game crashes and black screen with sound requiring reboot. Monitor is fine, as it works on my BF's pc with no problems.
-We have tried a couple of installs of Windows 7
-We have run chkdsk - no errors. The BIOS is running on default, nothing overclocked - we have used the correct timings for the RAM and autotimed them, same problem
We are currently not using an antivirus because we did not want to add more problems, but we will get AVAST.My BF has given up now, as there is nothing else he can think of to try. I feel we are so close to resolving the issue, as it did run fine for a while, but then a bunch of errors all at once. If it helps, here is a copy of the error log.

Recently I have encountered BSOD quite regularly, whenever I'm playing pc games ( I get BSOD regardless of what I'm playing), burning an DVD ( I'm probably the only one left that still use dvd driver and buy blank dvd) or just surfing the web for more than 2 hours. Whne BSOD happens, the error is Kernel data inpage error. I had look it up and it have to do with the HDD, but I'm the only one receiving that error while trying to burn a dvd.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen having some crashes. At first they occurred on start up. Claiming the computer wasn't properly shut down. Now today, the other crashes started, with the first happening out of nowhere, the second happening upon starting a video game. I've been without crashes for a while now, only having used my browser(Opera) and copying some files to an external hard drive. As well as the SF tool.I only have 2 dump files available. SF tool file should be in attachments, unless I made a mistake somewhere
View 6 Replies View RelatedI reformatted my computer multiple times, yet my computer seems to BSOD randomly. What happenes is that everything becomes unresponsive; cant alt+tab, cant ctrl+alt+del etc etc. everything freezes randomly... then boom, BSOD. its happened twice, with no apparent pattern. And then, when it restarts, it tries booting but then it goes into the boot selection screen and my SSD is nowhere to be found. I have to power off then power on again for it to boot up and log in.

When ever I start a Microsoft Office 2010 application I always get an error. It's Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student.
Excel- "Not enough memory to start Excel. Please close other applications and try again" Word- Crashes as soon as I start it OneNote- "OneNote cannot start because the Microsoft Office installation is missing the required files. Run Office setup again to repair the installation" PowerPoint- Splash screen flashes and nothing else happens
I have also tried going to install and clicking repair but it still doesn't work.
Setup cannot find PowerPoint.en-usPptLR.cab. Browse to a valid installation, source, and then click ok. Keeps on appearing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure what's going on so I'll quickly describe what I've been experiencing. First off, this a three month old computer. I don't use any P2P applications. I'm good at not clicking false links, etc. I'm up to date with Microsoft Updates and all of my software is up to date as well. I ran a virus scan and it came back completely clean. Sunday afternoon, I left my computer up with a bunch of windows open in Google Chrome. Everything was fine. I came back and no web pages would load. I disconnected my ethernet cable and plugged it back in. Everything was fine for a little while. Then everything started getting choppy. Programs were taking forever to open and once they did, the entire computer started lagging. For example, songs in iTunes would pause for about a half a second and jump right back in. It happened almost routinely, every 3-4 seconds. The mouse cursor was also jumping. I restarted and the same effects were observed. I can no longer open any MS Office products. This REALLY screws the computer up. I opened task manager and I can see Powerpoint, for example, running in the background and using about 100kb of memory. "End Process" does not even end the process. I tried using PSKill.exe to kill the process, but to no avail.

Decided to restart thinking it just a glitch and now all I've got is Onenote. Given up after 2 hours of being annoyed at every step trying to get it to work
