so I have a Lenovo desktop pc and I'm making upgrades to it to make it more of a gaming pc. Im a adding a new motherboard and CPU. I will be using some parts of this Lenovo and I will use the new parts that I get to build a better pc. Im going to be keeping the Lenovo HD (hard drive) and im wondering if I can just use the Operating system that is already installed on the hard drive. Is there anyway I can do this or do I have to buy a whole new copy of windows?
When trying to install W7 in 64-bit form I get the error message "The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks."
this is new purchased notebook and i can't install the windows 7 anywehere in the driver
This has been happening since May of this year. I had cleaned a part that had a lot of built-up dust. After I turned on the laptop, I went ahead and put it to sleep. However, instead of the computer going into standby, it automatically shuts down.
It is a Lenovo 3000 G530 that runs Windows 7 HP 32-bit

I am running Windows 7 on a Lenovo T60 laptop. When I try to download files or programs, I constantly get a message stating that there is insufficient storage. I have run disk cleanup and defragged multiple times and deleted everything that I am comfortable deleting with no improvement.
there is an extremely noticiable slowness now on my PC. I haveLenovo W510 i7 dual coreWin 7 ultimate 64 BitAll latest drivers etcKaspersky 2011- this i have disabled proactive defense since it eats memoryI eing what exactly is going on. CPU occasionally is high.
i purchased a lenovo g780 (21823lu) from newegg. when i received it, the performance was slow. i called lenovo tech and he had me put it in safemode to check a few things. we discovered it had windows 7 home premium 32bit instead of 64bit. the computer is full of bloatware. lenovo offered to send the 64bit disc.
I have recently bought a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge laptop with no OS and I am having a big problem installing Windows 7. When I start the laptop the windows boots and starts loading files but when the "Starting Windows" appears everything stops... I have waited for hours but no progress. I have tried it many times even from a USB flash drive but nothing.
I had to format and reinstall the win 7 32 bit to my lenovo y410 laptop. sound is not working. sound driver is realtek high definition. but now orking tried in many ways, but failed. How can I find the correct driver.
I got a new Lenovo G570 which has been frequently freezing up, requiring a restart. Frequency varies from every 20 minutes to a few hours, in a wide variety of states and activities, sometimes even while installing updates at shutdown. Computer use seems to make it slightly worse. It can sit for 8 hours or more without problem if nothing is done right after boot, or if firefox is just up and sitting there. With Windows Media Player going, it lasts about 4 or 5 hours maybe. This is with me not interacting with it at all. When I do, it lasts much longer if I use the touchpad and leave the USB mouse unconnected.
I'm using Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, OEM from Lenovo. I reinstalled it once using the system recovery utility from Lenovo, OneKey Recovery.
Performance is good right up until the point of the freeze, when everything immediately halts. Sounds will become a (near?) constant tone. The computer does not automatically restart or show any error screen.
ETA: I also ran it in safe mode for a day, simultaneously using WMP, Open Office, and USB mouse, and there were no problems.
I installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on my Lenovo ideapad Y430 (which came with Vista Home Premium 32-bit). It worked fine for a few hours. However, it now freezes up within 1 minute after I sign on after rebooting. The cursor stops moving, Task Manager won't come up, no disk activity, etc. Booting in Safe Mode works fine, so I'm thinking it's an issue related to a driver or service that doesn't load in Safe Mode. Event Viewer doesn't reveal much of use; only the fact that I needed to power off without shutdown. Vista still runs fine on another partition. How I can get Windows 7 running again (e.g., by identifying and removing/updating the offending driver/server, if that's what's causing the problem)?
I have updated my laptop Lenovo SL500 to windows7, and now I am facing an issue like whenever I use one more programs opened and at them same time, the display starts flickering unless those windows are not minimized, there is no problem if only one window at the screen.
I am trying to install Win XP over Win 7 (64bit) on my Lenovo Z560. Most (if not all) laptops does not have Floppy Drive any more and the tutorial suggests that I have to use a floppy disk to install Win XP SATA Driver/s just before I start to install Win XP to my laptop. How important to do this step? Can it be done later? The only way seems to be is using an external USB Floppy Drive? Then again, if I cannot use a USB Flash drive to load the driver/s, will the external USB floppy drive work at this stage of Win XP installation?
I installed windows 7 on my lenovo N200 but my finger print software is not working on it and i dont find any software that supports finger print sensor of my machine for Win 7.
