Jun 29, 2011I installed windows 7 on my lenovo N200 but my finger print software is not working on it and i dont find any software that supports finger print sensor of my machine for Win 7.

Only problem I have now is that I can't find any 64-bit drivers for the fingerprint sensor. When I went to check the first time device manager showed it as an SMSC fingerprint sensor but checking their site didn't assist at all, any working driver? Sep 12, 2012I am using a very cheap receiver from Amazon with the PC Remote Control drivers provided by Eventghost. From my other readings the best way to identify the remote is the presence of [URL] in the GUID. My problem is this. When I put the computer to sleep and begin watching another source, the commands from the television remote are detected by the IR receiver and wake the PC. Is there any way to select which signals would wake the computer?I currently have the power management settings configured to not allow the IR receiver to wake the computer and use the power button to wake it?

Apr 13, 2011I typed some text. And I want to erase some of that text using the Backspace key. I press it. But it only deletes 1 character before I have to press it again. And so I'm in the process of pressing the backspace key multiple times before I get rid of one word. I want that to be resolved. How can I change (return) to the way where holding down my finger on the key will do the operation multiple times.
P.S. I'm not sure if this is already included i the my footnote or not. But I'm on an Asus G73jh, I've been exposed to some well-known issues on the G73, but this keyboard problem hasn't been one of them.

Jun 14, 2012I got a new Lenovo G570 which has been frequently freezing up, requiring a restart. Frequency varies from every 20 minutes to a few hours, in a wide variety of states and activities, sometimes even while installing updates at shutdown. Computer use seems to make it slightly worse. It can sit for 8 hours or more without problem if nothing is done right after boot, or if firefox is just up and sitting there. With Windows Media Player going, it lasts about 4 or 5 hours maybe. This is with me not interacting with it at all. When I do, it lasts much longer if I use the touchpad and leave the USB mouse unconnected.
I'm using Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, OEM from Lenovo. I reinstalled it once using the system recovery utility from Lenovo, OneKey Recovery.
Performance is good right up until the point of the freeze, when everything immediately halts. Sounds will become a (near?) constant tone. The computer does not automatically restart or show any error screen.
ETA: I also ran it in safe mode for a day, simultaneously using WMP, Open Office, and USB mouse, and there were no problems.
Windows 7 Freezes On Lenovo Y430 Ideapad
Oct 30, 2009I installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on my Lenovo ideapad Y430 (which came with Vista Home Premium 32-bit). It worked fine for a few hours. However, it now freezes up within 1 minute after I sign on after rebooting. The cursor stops moving, Task Manager won't come up, no disk activity, etc. Booting in Safe Mode works fine, so I'm thinking it's an issue related to a driver or service that doesn't load in Safe Mode. Event Viewer doesn't reveal much of use; only the fact that I needed to power off without shutdown. Vista still runs fine on another partition. How I can get Windows 7 running again (e.g., by identifying and removing/updating the offending driver/server, if that's what's causing the problem)?
