all of a sudden I have been experiencing problems with Pasting files from one area to another. The "Copy" part is working but the pasting - forget about it. There have even been instances whereby the "Pasting" part would be in black and when I click "Paste" nothing happens. On all other instances, the "Paste" feature is in grey.

When I tried it to move or copy to the external I've got message: Error 0x8007045D: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. I was looking online for some help and I found some advice that I have to make chkdsk in cmd mode but when I tried I've got message: "Chkdsk" is not recognized as a internal or external command, operable program or batch file. AFAICT the only updates installed in the last two plus weeks have been MSE definition updates. The last real updates were installed on 11 April. Even though I do not restart my computer often I am sure this only started recently. It has done it for four restarts in the last 24 hours.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a printer connected by USB to a desktop running Vista and hardwired to a WiFi router and I've got a Nokia booklet running Windows 7 Starter and using the WiFi. I have tried to get the two computers to connect with each other, but only the desktop can get into the booklet. I cannot get the booklet to get into the desktop. It seems that because I only have Win Starter 7, I cannot form a home group. I need the full featured Win 7 to do that. Is that correct? I really would like to use the printer on the booklet, but even though it seems to send the document to the printer queue on the desktop, nothing prints. I suspect it's the same issue as I mentioned, but at least it's getting something into the desktop. When I try to print and then look at the document's properties, it says the size of the document but always says pages to print.

I've already made sure that the Clipboard is checked in the RDP connection properties. I tried connecting as her on my machine, and the same thing happens. Nothing I do seems to fix it, deleting cache, etc. So eventually, out of frustration I give up but it interrupts my productivity of course. Some time later in the future I find it is working again but i do not know how/why it starts or stops and it is most vexing and inconvenient.
It seems to happen periodically whether I am using my Windows 7 or my Mac Snow Leopard? I right click, select copy right click again select paste and ZIP, NADA? I will be forever grateful or at least for a very long time!

However, i can still see the file in folder A, i need to refresh for it to go away.is there a way to fix this? is this normal?using windows 7 32bit (retail) fresh install.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, this was my first time removing the current thermal paste and applying new one, the previous one was tough to remove because it was stone hard, although I didnt remove 100% of it i'd say I took out a good 70-80% of what was there.So when applying it, I hear some ppl say to put as much as the size of a bb just a small dot (this is for my laptop cpu and gpu) which I did, then evenly spread it around with the little spreader it came with. My cpu now gets hotter by 4-5c.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new system with Win7 Pro. 64 Bit Sp1.I've found out that sometimes Win7 has problems with cut & Paste. At first I thought it was a problem with win7 security system but it doesn't seem to be the case as I don't get any message.When I want to move a file from one location to another, I cut and then go to the destination, click paste and nothing happens. No error message, just nothing. I try again but with the same result result. It seems that others have a similar problem, some have suggested that by Killing RDPCLIP.EXE and restarting it fixes the problem. But I don't have this .EXE in my task list, and some other people suggested some other way.This problem does not happen all the time but considering that my PC is only 3 days old and I have experienced this problem 3 times already, it seems unacceptable. This is not some small, obscure, rarely used function, this is Cut & Paste, who doesn't use it almost everyday?
