Neither of these sounds are among the Windows Media .wav sounds. I did a search for .wav and listened to every .wav on my computer. The boing isn't one of them. Anyone else have this problem?

Then, I used task manager to close the window. Then, I restart the computer. Now, I see many of my desktop icons missing and also my documents missing. However, those documents are availble in a folder called UsesDell folder in C drive. Apart from these problems, the fonts of the internet explorer has changed and its like using a new computer where I have to install programs again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night, whilst plugging my iphone 4 s into my windows 7 based PC with 64 bit to back up my phone things went horribly wrong.The system told me in itunes that i need to down load the latest upgrade for itunes.I tried this and with my phone plugged in through a USB port to charge it went haywire.At the same time, as i was down loading the latest itunes 10.6 update, up pops the words "A network error occured while attempting to read from the file: C:windows installeritunes 64 msi". So i went back to the download page and clicked on the other download link and this time this message came up;This itunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions of windows. Please download and instal the 64-bit itunes installer instead.I could not find that installer so used other recommended installers, to no avail.I tried re-installing the 64 bit version at least 6+ times from other sites, but the same error message keeps coming up as the 1st one i wrote above.My iphone 4s is stuck on a picture showing a USB cable going to an itunes symbol. It will do nothing. It won't turn on/off and now my computer won't even recognize it when plugged in! Where did the driver go all of a sudden?I reset my PC to a couple of days ago, then tried loading the program again, made no difference. I have updated drivers, iphone on the list, but not showing any problems.I need to go get another phone now as i run several small businesses and need client contact all the time, but will answer this forum as soon as i can.

If you have previous drivers installed, this will uninstall the old ones and then restart the computer. Run the driver install again and you're good to go after another re-start.
Yesterday when I install Windows 7 on my friend PC I realized it has Realtek audio chipset, and though the drivers for this audio chipset were installed, still the Windows has no audio.The issue was caused because the built-in Realtek audio drivers in Windows 7 were not compatible with the audio chipset of the computer which was causing problem.The problem was that windows has older version of realtek drivers installed. Please reinstall iTunes."I had heard that if I uninstalled Quicktime (which is bundled with iTunes when that is downloaded), then reinstalled it separately, it would work again, but after trying that it didn't. So I decided to just uninstall iTunes, then reinstall it. However, every time I try to uninstall it in Add/Remove Programs, it just sits there saying it'll be about eight more seconds to go to finish deleting, but it just sits, and sits, and sits...... Nothing. I also tried to just install the newest iTunes on top of the existing one, but every time I try it tells me that it's already installed and to click "Ok." So I can't uninstall it, nor can I install it, nor will iTunes open on its own. I had done a system restore recently, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

It seems when the HD starts working extra hard, I hear this "ding, ding, ding". One about every second as long as the HD is working hard. I find the "bleeps" and "bonks" most annoying when I am navigating around Windows 7, and I am well aware what it says in the personalise/sound menus. The trouble is that opting for "no sound", or switching off individual sounds does not work. I have spent many hours on this problem, to little avail.
if there is a glitsch somewhere in the system,and if there is a solution other than to turn the speakers off. This would be a bit drastic some some of the sounds are useful.
none of my error sounds are working!!! it doesn't matter if they are the default sounds or custom ones, they won't work!!! they won't even work when I go into system sounds and hit 'test' still no sound played but if I navigate to C:\windows\media and double click the sound files, they play in Windows Media Player just fine they just won't work when the error sound needs to I tried restarting the computer but still NONE of my error sounds will work!!! I also tried to reassociate the error sounds in the system sound setting but still won't sound the startup and shutdown sounds DO NOT work either.
