Nov 17, 2009I had trend micro internet security 2009 on vista but had to uninstall it when I upgraded to 7. I tried re installing it but there's always messages about drivers and stuff missing or not compatible with this version of windows.
I was wondering if anyone knows, if I installed Trend Micros internet security 2009 and got the 2010 upgrade, would it all be fixed up or would it be better to buy the non upgrade 2010 one? Just that the upgrade can be AU$40 cheaper than the non upgrade. Anyone know if the upgrade can do a clean install like win 7 upgrade can??
BSOD - Uninstalled Trend Micro AV - Power Driver State Failure?
Jul 15, 2012I uninstalled Trend Micro Business Security from my 1 year old Dell Vostro (Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit) a few days ago and since then have had recurrent spontaneous shutdown most times with a BSOD Power Driver State Failure. In Device Manager, it showed a Virtual CD drive with a yellow exclamation point - I uninstalled the program that created the virtual drive but I still have spontaneous BSOD. I tried a System Restore but it failed to help the situation.I attached my zip files of jcgriff2 and my perfmon html file.

Aug 9, 2012I had the google redirect virus.. tried removing it myself through different methods.. still remained, so I decided to back up all my things and just reformat and reinstall. yesterday I did a dell factory image restore though, instead of doing a OS re-installation using my windows 7 disc, entering my product key etc (probably should have...)long story short: my mouse is lagging. i should note it started to lag before i did the factory restore also. at that point i figured it was just the virus/malware.but it's still here and driving me crazy. i googled and poked around the forums- following different advice to no avail. i performed all of the dell hardware diagnostic tests- passed them. i've done sfc /scannow 3+ times. tells me there are corrupt files but are unable to fix them. log shows:

Nov 7, 2012recently I've got an issue with my comp, my mouse left button becomes a right click and right button stays the same, I've searched for some solutions but have found nothing so far. I've reformatted my PC twice and the problem still persist, my mouse is Armaggeddon's Alien G9, I've tried it on another PC and it works fine, even after reformatting my PC the mouse left click would cease to work and would Right Click.I've checked in the Control panel to make sure that the primary keys haven't been switched!
P.S: Recently I've been playing World Of Warcraft, and is wondering if AddOns could be the cause, but this have been never heard of as the problem just appeared recently, but I've been playing for a month already, it appeared like 3 days ago?
Cursor/mouse Button Lags?
Mar 20, 2011I have an odd issue, that from my knowledge has only started recently. That is that my left mouse button lags quite a bit. This is most notable when i drag windows, as it would randomly select another window under the one i was dragging. Recently, it hasnt been clicking properly, i would have to hold the button down for a shot while (only a very shot moment, but it is very annoying and noticable) for it to click. I have an A4 Tech x7 lasermouse that has been working perfectly for years, it is only in the last few days that this problem has been occuring. I have ran virus scans and checked mouse settings in control panel without success.

Sep 5, 2011There's a lag in windows when I hold and drag the mouse for selection rectangle, but only when I keep CTRL or ALT or SHIFT pressed along with the mouse button, there's a lag even with this simple rectangular marquee in windows, the movement gets frozen every 2-3 seconds. And when I hold and drag for rectangular marquee with mouse button only, there's no lag and it's smooth as it should be.
Same behavior in 3D softwares: lag when using mouse button + ctrl or alt or shift, and NO LAG when using mouse button only CTRL, SHIFT and ALT are the cause! But the problem now is how to fix that? I want to use the alt or shift or ctrl key along with the mouse in my 3D apps, it's so convenient and useful. I disabled tablet input service and it doesn't work.

Jan 4, 2012I had a 2GB Micro SD card in my Android phone that was getting loaded up with music and pictures/videos, so I picked up an 8GB card to replace it. I put the card into the adapter to fit regular SD card readers, which my laptop has and began copying the files from the 2 GB card to my hard drive. When I was done and I went to copy the data on to the new 8 GB card, it said it was copying 5.29 GB of data? The files that were on the 2 GB card were almost all music mp3's, with a few pics and videos thrown in, but they only made up a tiny part of that total. The only thing I could think of was if the files on the 2GB card were somehow zipped and became unzippped, but then wouldn't they have gotten much bigger than a little over double the original size?
