Make Aero Peek Button A Show Desktop Button?
Aug 4, 2011I only learnt about this a couple of weeks ago!If you want to make the Aero Peek button at the far right of your Taskbar into a plain and simple Show Desktop button:Simply right-click the Aero Peek button and un-check the "Peek at desktop" option. Et Voila!! That's it!

Jun 9, 2011recently I used a software AVG PC Tuneup and it has never been a problem for me until a couple of days ago when I decided to install it on my DELL. Now, I went to system advisory and did a system scan on recommended settings, I pressed 'fix selected' and my Wifi was disabled, I tried everything. I can't get my wifi to work without plugging in my modem directly ot my pc. I noticed my wifi radio was disabled, so I pressed the F2 button but nothing worked. I am trying to re enable my wifi radio / wireless radio connection button but it won't work.
My program intel my wifi utility tells me my wifi is disabled but I can't enable it.

In addition the check boxes next to each individual email (for fast check off and delete) is missingTo the left of the Inbox are my folders and they also have strikethroughs on the Check mail, New, and go tabs.The email is functional, but the entire screen looks like its unfinished.

(It still works, I just click on the blank spot) I don't how it happened, my guess is my wife did something....she only uses it for facebook and myspace.And I just found out that it only disapears when i change the taskbar's settings to auto-hide.I sniped a pic of it.

I was wondering whether it is possible to record some sort of macro or similar that would enable me to do this. I have tried to use the windows back upbut it uses nearly all the DVD even though the folders only hold about 800MB of data. I also want to just be able to press the button on my desktop to perform the operation, and the reason I don't want to have to go into the actual folders is because I will forget how to do it.

Oct 14, 2011Windows 7 32bit new install of 2 weeks. No changes that I can think of prior to the login problem. Windows boots to Ctrl Alt Del and when that is entered a Cancel button appears on the screen. when the cancel button is pressed the Ctrl Alt Del is back. I have tried the follow to fix the login issue. Remote Registry connection to create a AutoLogon by adding (DefaultName/Password/Domain) etc. That registry hack worked in that the Ctrl Alt Del window no longer came up but it then went directly to the Cancel button. Next I tried doing a restore to an earlier date by booting from a Win7 DVD. Results were NO Change. Then I tried doing a boot repair booting from the Win7 DVD. (and as the problem isn't with the boot, it is with the logon there was NO Change)

Sep 24, 2012Occasionally, when on a web page with pictures/video/flash, the screen will "freeze" and have some random colored pixels appear or sometimes it will just go black. Sometimes when this happens the whole system will remain locked. Other times it will recover and I will get a notification balloon saying the the graphics driver has stopped and recovered from an error. I've looked for answers to this on the web and I have seen reference to it being caused by a Windows timeout waiting for a response from the video card. Is there a way to modify (extend) the timeout value to try to prevent this? I have the latest drivers. In my case the graphics card is NVidea Quadro FX 1800M on a Dell Precision M4500 notebook (8G RAM). OS: Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Eject Button Fix On Keyboard
Jan 17, 2011So I have a Dell studio, I use to run Ubuntu 10.04 on there and I re-installed Windows 7 on there. The problem is my disc drive has a button on the key board to eject the disc cause my I don't have the disc tray I have the slot on the side where you just slide the disc in, since I have re installed Windows 7 it has not worked so I was hoping someone could tell me how to set the button up to where it is the eject button. I know I can right click on the disc in computer and click on eject but if possible I would like by eject button to work properly.
