I am currently running Windows 7 32bit version, but am considering installing the 64bit version.
I have been online and downloaded all the necessary drivers for my motherboard, graphics card, printer etc but I have not found any for my modem (currently a Thomson Speedtouch 330 USB ADSL) which is working well in Win 7 32bit.
Can anyone advise me if 64bit drivers are available for this modem(I have been onto their site but it wasnt very helpfull) or point me to a reasonly priced alternative.

Every time i turn off my computer and turn it back on the connection says that it has networks available. But, since i have a long security key, it is very tedious to type it in every time i start up my computer.

When I first start my computer up every morning, my Laptop will automatically connect to my router, everything is fine. The problem I'm having is when I log my computer off, or put the computer into sleep mode. After logging back on to my laptop it won't connect back to the router. I always get the orange star sign over the signal bars.If I try to re-connect by clicking on the signal bars in the bottom right hand side of the screen it won't connect.

Every time I turn on my pc which has Windows 7 Ultimate (6.1.7600 Build) I need to connect manually to my wireless network WLAN AutoConfig is set to Automatic and it is already started as well as all its dependecies......I have an Asus EEE PC 1000H which by default had windows xp, but I don't think that the upgrade done something bad to my pc, cause when i upgraded my pc was OK, now lately it happens Aaaa almost forgotten!! I choose "Automatically Connect" checkbox when I connect but nothing happens as well as when I put my pc to Sleep or Hibernate.... and everytime I need to manually connect and write my WPA2 password !!! Yes I Know that you 'd tell me "remove password" or "run in safe mode with networking" or "disable UAC" but i already done these and i'm the admin of the PC !! I already updated my Network's Driver through device manager many times...

So I still have Windows 7 Ultimate Beta and going to buy Professional soon. But something weird is going on.
I have Thunderbird which checks all my email addresses at startup but it says "cannot connect" so i started to check out my wireless. My wireless says it has "limited access" to my network, says it is "not connected" and when I check the wireless status, it would say that it isn't connected to the IPv4 and IPv6, all while being connected for "00:01:30+"
Then after several minutes, it would just start identifying and connect to the network/internet real fast out of nowhere. My wireless is a Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network connection
Also, I have a VMware to run Ubuntu which bridges the internet to go online, if this helps. (I cannot uninstall since it took me 4 weeks to get it running)

I'm encountering a very frustrating problem connecting to my office PC (which is Windows 7 Professional). No matter what client I use (Windows 7 built in remote desktop from a W7HP machine, Remote Desktop Client on Android, etc.) when I log on to the host machine it re-logs me on. Basically it seems to kill the previous log on session, logs it off, and then logs me in anew. This is really annoying. It closes all open apps and makes me reopen them. It takes much longer than a usual connection. I can't seem to find any reason for why this might happen, the only difference between this and the thousands of connections I've made over the years using RDP is that this is being done over our work VPN (A SonicWall VPN client). I don't see why that would make any difference but it's the only variable.

i recieved my new lenovo z570 ideapad yesterday...i'll just put some of the spec down incase you want to know.
proccessor: intel i5 (second gen)
graphics: nvidia geforce
os: windows 7 64bit
yadayadayada...
anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!

I have a Dell laptop running Win 7 Professional. There are two wireless networks that I regularly use. One is at work (a large university with a huge wireless setup) and one at home. Both networks are set to automatically connect on my computer. If I only use one of these networks for a period of time, I have no access problems. If I log off or shut down the computer, or whatever, when I come back the computer immediately connects to the network. However, if I go from one network to the other, I have to enter the access key the first time I try to use the "new" network. I have to select the network from the list of available networks, and when I do, the "automatically connect" box is visible and checked, but it has not automatically connected. It is as though enterning the key for one network removes the key for the other. This happens on other wireless networks also, such as the one at my son's house, so it is not just the two networks I use most often. Also, my old Vista laptop had no problem recognizing and connecting to any of these networks automatically.

So I have a NETGEAR wn111 V2 usb dongle to connect the Internet. I've installed the driver and I can connect. But on startup it doesn't automatically connect to the Internet. I have to manually do it. And yes, the option to automatically connect is checked. Even after a reinstallation of windows, I keep having the same problem. In Ubuntu it worked on startup.

I CAN connect to internet just fine using my wifi BUT I CAN NO LONGER connect to 198.192.1.1!!! Any idea how to solve this problem? I'm using a Dell Insprion 1545 and Win7 32-bit. I never had this issue before, jut popped up when I tried using ICS on a different laptop, an IBM thinkpad T42 also using Win7 and connected to the same network via wifi. Again I can connect to the internet just fine on all my laptops, but 192.168.1.1 (for my netgear router) returns "unable to connect" page!!! have verified (via ipconfig) that my gateway ip is 192.168.1.1. I have valid IPs on all the laptops, but cannot connect to router setup page.

well i am facing problem to install speed touch 330 driver in my laptop, i have got a driver which partially installed the modem, well you can say modem is installed ..
when i was using xp i had driver which automatically creates the dial up connection to connect it easily but the driver i am using now .. it crashes down after installation of the modem so unable to create connection to connect
if i go manually i can do it but for that i need to change its VCI and VPI and as well as encapsulation .. now i go to device manager .. then to modem properties .. i found the option for encapsulation .. which can be easily changed .. same with VPI .
but VCI is not changing .. it will not accept any value other than 35 .. ! if i change the value it will give the error THE VALUE MUST BE IN BETWEEN 0 and -1 .. and most amazing it will not accept these both values .. its only accept 35 ..

How I could write a script or something that would check for internet connectivity and if there is none then it would re dial the pppoe connection?
