The nice blue background and the text telling me to "press control alt delete to logon" appears just fine. However, as soon as I press control alt delete, the text goes away, I have the nice blue background, and it just sits there. I can move the mouse around, but the "ease of access" icon in the bottom left is unresponsive. That icon is responsive before I press control alt delete

View 1 Replies View RelatedI built myself a computer like today and it was working fine 3 hours ago and I shut off the computer. 3 Hours later, I turn it back on, it goes into the screen that says: "BOOTMGR is missing. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to restart". So I searched up some things and it says to put my Windows 7 installation disc in and repair it. But when I go into the repair mode, it gives me the error "the version of system recovery options is not compatible with the versn of windows you are trying to repair".

I managed to create an administrator's account which is visible but I can't see the other user accounts at login or in the user accounts control panel. I've activated and verified that the missing user accounts are active by using net user "username" /active:yes command prompt. The user's folder's are still on the hard drive

-The lap top
-The external monitor I use
-Another monitor called "No Monitor", (excellent name!).
I've configured the No Monitor to the pull down option "Disconnect This Display", but it's still there. It's not a big deal, but I was just wondering if there's a way to remove it altogether.
Today i restarted my p.c after updating the windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.. but after i restarted it, suddenly the screen went black and this was displayed: "JLPRF is compressed Press ctrl+alt+delete to restart" i followed the command, and every time i did, the p.c restarted and the same message was displayed... i even check the cables,ram and other connection but every thing was fine.. I tried installing the windows again using the DVD, but no use.. The same message was displayed over and over again every time i restarted the rig.. (I never altered any bios setting)

I'm using Windows 7 Pro. I have remove the login pw in my user account now I do not need to do the login and able to use the computer right away. But I found I am using the computer as a user not administrator. How can I skip the login screen and go straight into desktop as administrator.

It happens everytime I turn on my computer, two black screen flashes at the login screen and another black flash in the main menu screen right after logging in.

I have an RDP Server on a windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and i would like to be able to use another system login screen to connect to this server. As in when i turn of display last local users, so that if i was to enter XXX into the username and XXX into the password and it will connect Although i wouldnt mind being able to set up roaming profiles between these systems either.

When doing this I can use either Nvidia's controls or windows controls (right click desktop>Nvidia Control Panel. When using Nvidia's Control Panel, there are two choices: Use other applications control color settings or Use Nvidia settings. Am I correct in assuming that the former setting is Windows? I always check the button to use Nvidia settings (and then Apply>OK), but when I go back to this screen at a later time, the Other applications control color settings is always selected. I'd like to default to Nvidia.

Recently however, the mouse would work at the login screen, but after I would login, it would stop working. Its drivers are up-to-date. It seems as though something changed recently that disables it after login, and if I reconnect it I sometimes get Error Code 43, and it says it is not recognized, then again, sometimes it will work flawlessly, until i put my computer to sleep.

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I built a new system, and created a bootable USB with Win7 on it, I've tested it on my previous comp to make sure it is bootable.I plug it into my USB slot (tried both USB 2 and 3 slots) and set the bios (F15) to boot from what it reads as a Generic Storage Device 0204.I reboot and then see "Press any key to boot from USB..." <-- 3 dots which immediately (<1sec) changes to 4 dots. And then the system hangs. Num and CAPS are both lit up, and cannot be turned off. Nothing else does anything.While I'm in the BIOS, the keyboard functions just fine. It's a USB keyboard plugged into a USB 2.0 slot (but also didnt work when plugged into a USB 3)
