I just got a Sony MDR-XD200 which is a Stereo Headphones. It works perfect with my mobile, but when i try it in PC only 1 headphone runs but the second does not.I tired it in XP, 7, Vista but same problem, only 1 runs second does not.I tried changing some settings but was unsuccessful..
Using Win 7 Home Premium and until recently everything was working fine. My last file exchange via my Nokia E72 and my Sony Vaio VGN-FWseries was about 2 months ago (Oct. 2011). Then today I tried again and it won't work. To check I tried to send also files via my Samsung Galaxy Tab and it did not work. Analysis: When pairing it does not find drivers for Bluetooth Peripheral device - all other pairing steps work fine. What happened ? A WIN 7 update ? P.S.: I do not have Bluetooth software which tells me with right click send files receive files. I read many threads in various portals but none of them applied to my problem.
After all Bluetooth is such a fragile technology that it is basically useless to me. Now it also happens that it is fragile with WIN 7.
I recently decided to install Windows 7 service pack 1 after I installed that software and it updated everything, I don't get any sound from my onboard speakers. I do get sound when I plug in headphones or ext. speakers.. I'm sure its a driver issue because when I start up my computer I get start up sound out of the same speakers.
my sound gets knocked out by registry mechanic or just changing my head phones ..has happened several times ..find a fix and then it goes for months and its gone again..? the driver says no files there so they were there yesterday?.
So i got a problem and i cant reslove it. its about the stereo mix .the problem : i think (not sure) that i enabled the stereo mix by Fraps (recording program) where there was a recird Windows 7 sound > stereo so i checked it and then i couldn't talk anymore on the mic that i have. I knew that my problem is stereo mix because when i open the ts and try to talk they hear waht my computer is doing (playing music .. etc...) I tired to put show disabled divices and show disconnected devices but it didn't show up to disable it Tired to install the latest version of my sound card which is : High defenition audio but it didn't show up tooTried also to unistall then install .. the same didn't show up..
For some reason, awhile back, I used to be able to record with Stereo Mix on Audacity, Hypercam, even to other people on Skype. But all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it just stopped working. There was a time where it said it was unavailable, but now it says it is working, but when I try to record sound using Stereo Mix, it either doesn't record the sound, or the program doesn't recognize that Stereo Mix exists.I have "Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller" under my Stereo Mix properties (I'm guessing that's like the driver or audio device name). When I try to record in Audacity, I get a message saying "Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate." The input device (the Realtek AC'97 I'm guessing) says it's "working", and the project sample rate is the exact same as it says in my recording settings. My guess is that Audacity doesn't see "Stereo Mix" or "Realtek AC'97" as a device currently on my computer, which doesn't make any sense, cuz my computer says otherwise. It also doesn't make sense, because I'm able to select "Stereo Mix" as a device for recording IN Audacity itself.
I've read other posts about this problem, and none seemed to be of any help (I've tried the solution posted but didn't fix it). Is it because my "Stereo Mix" isn't set up to my speakers or something? Is it because I have Realtek AC'97 and not the HD one? Could it have something to do with my current USB Microphone (which that seems to work just fine for recording)? I dunno, like I said, it "used" to work, but just suddenly, out of nowhere, didn't work anymore.By the way, It is set as the default device, and is enabled and says it's "working". It also does not have any green bars next to it (or lack thereof), and in the properties, I do not see a "listen" tab.
i have Toshiba Satellite L635-S3020BN notbook. i have latest amd high definition audio device driver but still i dont have stereo mix . my stereo mix is not disabled i checked it. i only have microphone Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD as my recording device.
I just bought ASUS Xonar DS to make my HTPC connect to Samsung HT-Z210 Home theater System via Optic cable (TOSLINK).I can Play DVD with out any problems with sound.
So i've had this problem before but randomly windows 7 seems to make it so my 5.1 speakers only send out stereo through 2/3 speakers. I've never found the cause or the fix of it until now, and even then I only know the cause. So as far as i can tell it was when i plugged a 3.5mm jack in the front port that it changed to stereo, so i'm guessing that a setting has changed due to that lead and it hasn't reverted back?So.. anyone have any ideas? I've tried looking in the settings/playback options but to no luck.Windows 7 - up to date.Connected over an optical leadZ5500 Speakers Homebuilt pc - not really worth going into the specs.
For the past four hours, i've been struggling with a problem, my microphone wasn't being heard by my friends who I was attempting to talk to on skype. I looked, and my microphone was hearing my voice, but my Stereo mix Was Not. I have no idea how to fix this problem, my mic is fine, i've tried multiple mics, i've also tried multiple chat things, such as ooVoo and what not. I have asked my step-father and he has no clue.
I'm on a toshiba laptop (windows 7 x64) and I have my stereo mix enabled and I want to stream some games with the ingame/music playing, but my stereo mix doesnt pick up any sound. By the way, I have a built in microphone if that matters or something. I really need to be able to stream my desktop audio.
After I reinstalled my computer I saw that stereo mix is not recording any sound, so I searched for a solution on other forums , but nothing worked.Than I found this forum and I saw the thread "Jack output reassignments (Fix)" and I changed the registry binaries, but still nothing. I got this version of my realtek driver: 6.0.1.6526.I downloaded it from guru3d.com , because I can't download from the official realtek site.
When i plugin my USB headset I hear some audio sources but not all, Stereo Mix doesn't seem to appear for the headset. If i reboot the machine then everything is fine.. how I can avoid having to reboot?
I have had stereomix set up on my computer for a little while now, and yesterday I went to stream something and no sound came out, well today I also went to stream on my radio station and no sound came out. I have looked at all my settings, they read that everything is normal, I just dont know what to do.mixer.
Will try to describe my problem as best I can.I have a 3 yr old Desktop HP PC.If I remember right, it came with "integrated audio," but I might be wrong with this.Have the Creative SoundBlaster audio setup/program too.Just bought a new pair of Logitech desktop speakers. Not too expensive; only about $ 25 or so.Nice sound, but:If I do the speaker test that is on one of their menus (the Creative menu), and click the left speaker, sound comes out of both speakers. Same if I click the right speaker; sound again comes out of both. Now that I am aware of it, DVD's and other sounds also seem monaural from both speakers; each speaker playing the same thing. There are all sorts of options, but I can find none that say "Balance" as I would expect. Also, no balance knob on speakers.
It seems as if the system is working in a monaural mode, rather than stereo. All the cables, etc are stereo, and I am feeding them into the green Line-In jack on the back of the PC.how to change it from, apparently, Monaural to true Stereo. I looked in Device Manager settings for sound, and everywhere else that has a sound option screen, but nothing seems appropriate, or works.I dumped the old speakers, so have no idea if the same with them, or a problem with these new Logitech ones. My "guess" is that the old ones probably played the same way, and my problem is with some setting in ther PC rather than the new speakers, but...?
i am using windows ultimate - core i3, in this system how to use stereo mix and mic at the same time? i didn't see strereo mix button in the sound option.
i listen to some lectures on Internet, and they were recorded in mono, such that using headphones i hear them only on one ear. is there an application or a tweak that can temporarily produce mono sound instead of stereo?
i want to record speaker output but there is no stereo mix option when i go to recording devices, what do i do...i believe it may be to do with my drivers needing updated but this will cost me..

I formatted my PC and reinstalled Win7. Now Stereo Mix wont work. I've reinstalled the drivers (not sure if correct ones) and I've also checked off "show disconnected" or "show disabled".I need to record computer sound with camtasia studios to finish my Minecraft Lets Play?
Back in the day, most mics sounded awful and your only alternative was usb mics. However, newer motherboards seem to have better onboard mic (less noise) and any old headset will do.the motherboard I have is an asus P5KPL-CM it's onboard audio is:
VIA VT1708B 8 -Channel High-Definition Audio CODEC
and its chipset:
Intel G31 Intel ICH7
In windows xp, audio capture was fine. I primarily use the mic with online gaming and was really happy with how well the onboard sound recorded. Very clean, little noise. In game people said my mic sounded great and tests showed that.Went to windows 7 recently, everything is great except the mic recording is also capturing what audio output is going on (ie. the game's sound as well) I played with the nixer settings to death and can't seem to prevent this from happening. All games do it, windows sound recorder, audacity etc.I noticed there is a stereo mix tab and it has it's own recording volume which I have as muted and its recording level down to zero. This is with the front mic port but I've tried the back and same thing. This isn't an expensive headset, but again it worked great in xp. If the cables were gone it would be scratchy, not pick up the audio output. But I have a backup of this headset and tried it but the same thing.I don't have the speakers plugged in, but thought maybe the headset was 'bleeding' somehow and the mic was picking it up, but with just the mic plugged in alone it still records the audio output of whatever is playing, so it's not somehow picking up what's coming out of the headset itself.
I have Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit laptop. It's a ThinkPad Lenovo T60p by IBM.I've been searching google for ever and ever but I cannot find a fix.I found this via Google: forum.thinkpads.com - Stereo Re-mix thread (was T61/p Sound Recording?)And I have no idea what it means but it looks like it has some information on this subject.
I can't get my pc to output 5.1 audio through my spdif. My ht shows what is coming in, sound wise. I get 5.1 from my dvr, but not my pc. I'm running on board sound and video, my video card died. I have an Asus m4a78-em mobo. realtek hd.
I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 week ago.I use audacity to record audio from stereo mix.But I am not able to record from stereo mix anymore since I upgraded to Windows 7.Because there is no sound coming from Stereo Mix,it used to work before I upgraded to windows 7,I have searched for solutions,tried installing virtual drivers etc. and it has nothing to do with audacity,I am sure that I have configured it right.I have few questions regarding this problem;
-Is there any way to fix the sound issue with Stereo Mix?
-If not,is there any way to record from headphones with audacity,or set headphones as a recording device?
-Any other ways to record audio I am hearing from my headphones with audacity?
I am using : Realtek High Definition Audio, driver version 6.0.1.5882
I'm just installed windows 7 on my 2009 imac through bootcamp. However there are some problems. Ive noticed when i try to play something on windows media player it will tell me that my computer is running low on memory and to close some windows. Also games run poorly if at all. I suspect its a driver issue but have gone through all the auto updates etc.
